XXXXXIt was the usual motion for Komori, sitting atop a building near the market of Konoha as he watched the people go on about their lives. It was serene, a tranquil activity, one he enjoyed the most. He normally spent his time just watching his fellow citizens, but today was different, today he wanted to test something.
Summoning up his chakra he called his summon partner Kifu, to which the tiny bat landed on his shoulder. "And what are we getting up to now Komori?" it asked with a hint of annoyance. "We are tailing one of the jonin today, trying to see how long before they notice us."
Like any other tail, Komori's eyes never left his mark; watching every move he made, who he talked to, what he was polite to and how he acted. All of this was important information to the nocturnal genin. For what seemed like an hour, he made sure to keep a watchful eye on the man, trying to be as discreet as he could.
Good thing for him, the sun was setting and it added some well-needed cover in case he got careless in his observations. Komori & Kifu, not too far behind the man, was keeping a safe distance but made sure he was still able to see the man while remaining out the jonin's line of sight. Blending in the crowd of fellow Konohanians was easy for him. Those that made eye contact were subjected to a genjutsu from his father's side of the family, which temporarily allowed him to pass undetected, which he surely went unnoticed as he casually followed his prey.
Even in all his smugness, Komori did his best to remain on task, Although the smell of ramen filled his nose and he was immediately hungry, only to realize his prey had slipped away from him. "F*ck! Where did he get off to?"
