It was jarring to go from a hellscape of fire and a massive dragon of smoke to the sudden cool of fall, in the dead of night with only the distant sounds of the city. Exhausted, they grouped up with Tinkasite and made sure everyone was alright. With some words, they all headed home.
Wolframite had no one to rely on, so he took Laven home himself. The amount of aching exhaustion in his system was enough to floor him, but they made it into her form without issue. Maybe the desperation of just not wanting to walk much kept him from taking them outside the hallway.
There, he powered down out of the uniform that still smelled of smoke. His hair still had the order but he didn't care. Instead, he breathed out, thought of his own bed and k owing he'd want to sleep forever, and then her small bed here.
"Laven.....I'm bringing my bed over."

“Huh?” her brows furrowed. Figuring that she hadn’t heard him correctly, her head canted to the side as she looked up at him with a confused expression. Between her pounding headache and aching chest from the panic and anxiety inducing little ‘field trip’ they had just barely escaped from, Laven blinked a few times as she tried to process his last statement. My bed, I’m bring over… what? She groaned. Leaning forward she propped her elbows on her knees and pressed the heel of her palms against each of her temples in an attempt to focus. “You’re bringing your bed over? Right now?” Was he insane? He could barely stand up as it was, what made him think he could drag a bed across the hall when a feather on his shoulder could knock him over with how exhausted he looked.

He realized in his muddled mind that he sprang that up without asking first or any explanation. He had just looked at her, was tired, and didn't want to go to his bed. He wanted his bed to be here.
Looking at her, he slowly sat down and almost wanted to just black out right there. Instead, he took deep breathes, still feeling stripped of all of guards and left raw and bruised.
"Can I bring my bed over. I don't want to sleep in my room - but I'm worried if I'll have a nightmare and hurt you in my sleep." He looked over at her, hoping she wouldn't consider him silly. There was a lot that had happened during that fight, most of which he wasn't proud of. Laven knew every little about his PTSD aside from the Halloween Haunted House. Even then, she had no idea what brought it on aside from mirrors, and he hadn't given her much information. He knew that she must be wondering, but he wasn't sure how he was able to uncork such a full bottle of information.
It might be too much for the both of them right now.
"Please. I don't want to be alone tonight." He added.

“Yeah-” “No, that’s fine” She sat up and could feel the tension in her back between her shoulder blades beneath the scales along her spine. God what I’d do for a massage right now. Not that she’d be able to feel it, but the thought of it was definitely nice. Laven looped one arm through his and leaned her head against his shoulder lazily. Her eyes drifted across her room, while clean there were multiple things that were in the way such as the rug and the circular chair in the corner by the bookshelf. “I’ll move things around in here, but you’ll need to be the one to move the bed.” With her other hand, she summed the small energy orb she had collected the last time she went out on patrol. It wasn’t a lot, nowhere near meeting her quota goal, but it should afford him maybe an hour or two of time before they both hit the floor and fell asleep. “We can just worry about moving everything else later.” Her bookshelf and chair would likely have to go into his room, perhaps even her desk but there were things in there she didn’t want to see, gifts she had been working on that weren’t yet complete.

"Sorry - I just." And in her hands she held out some energy, and he slowly took it from her. "Thank you."
Taking it from her open palm, he popped it into his mouth and then turned to go to his room. His body didn't want to do anything of what he was purposing and he knew Laven wasn't up for his crazy ramblings either. Still, her small gesture spike volumes to him and he felt so much better for it.
The bed he had wasn't so big as much as others and only had two parts. Frame and mattress. Being a captain meant he had more strength so lifting the matress off wasn't hard and being next door was only a few steps between them. If he lived further away, he'd not have even asked. With room cleared, he set the frame down and then a few more motions and the matress came in. That was enough for him and taking a pillow and the larger four he had, he shut his room and then went to her room.
Already he felt that small orb of energy fizzle out.
"I'll fox everything tomorrow. Put it back in my room." He said as he nudged the bed to be snug against her own.

Laven moved her laundry hamper to the other side of her desk then walked over to where he was crouched beside the bed. When wolframite stood she wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his shoulder sleepily. She drew in a slow yet deep breath, drawing comfort from his scent, “There’s no rush, we’ll get to it when we get to it.” More than likely they would be out of it for a while, at least until dinner time if she were guessing. Breakfast would be served here shortly in the Cafeteria, and while it would be wise to eat something after all the running around they were doing, food was the last thing on her mind especially with how upset her stomach felt right now from the stress and anxiety that place put her through. “Unless you have something important going on later today I suggest you turn off any alarm you may have set on your tablet. I already turned mine off while you were in your room.”

He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly as his worn body would allow and set his head to rest beside hers, breathing in the smell of her shampoo. There was still the scent of ash from the smoke and he squeezed a little tighter.
"I'm sorry. I left you hanging. I left you there when you needed me. You could have gotten hurt. I didn't think things would go like that."

"Don't," Laven shook her head nuzzling her cheek against his comfortingly. This wasn’t the first time he had reacted this way. However, this time their minds were linked, albeit briefly, which allowed her a glimpse of what triggered his response to the distant flames. That was until he snapped the tether by removing the earring to stop to flow of images and thoughts from overwhelming her. "Don't apologize for something that was out of either of our control." Her voice sounded more sad than scolding as she continued. “Neither of us could have predicted what was going to happen in that shadow realm.” Laven lifted her head and leaned back enough so she could look him in the eyes and in doing so she raised a hand to cup his cheek. Her thumb brushed against his jawline and under her fingertips, she could feel the raised scars from the burn marks that red-haired senshi had given him. A part of her wanted to ask what happened, who that woman was and why she hurt him. However, she suspected that like the topic with his husband, this was one discussion that was better to let rest until Wolframite was comfortable bringing it up on his own. His reaction in the shadow ream made her believe that it was something she was not meant to see or know about, at least not right now. “I don’t want to continue to be a liability. If Tinaksite wasn’t there I’m not sure either of us would have had the sense to continue to move.” If he wanted to take the blame then it would have to be shared because the only fault she could find is with her own reaction. Up until now, any training she had done was scheduled, in a controlled environment, with more focus on honing her own abilities which were the exact opposite of what occurred this evening which sent her spiraling into a panic. “Where I’ve been weak you’ve been strong, but this time I wasn’t there for you the way you've been there for me or I was able to be there for you at the faire.” There was no melody hummed to calm his panic or gentle hand to guide him to safety. All she could do was splash him with water and hope it woke him up. “I’m sorry, I’ll do better.”

"I don't want to be the same to everyone either. I know it's not healthy to be this way." He said, looking into her eyes but finding it hard to maintain. It wasn't lying to her, but she kept on getting swept up into moments where he failed to be there for her when he was most needed. It had to be startling, and he knew some things had slipped out during that time. Laven was quick enough to want to know something. That the way he acted wasn't right.
No person was so petrified over mirrors and fire without cause.
"You don't have to feel sorry for that. We were both caught off guard. I just...it's a whole thing with me. A long story and - it means I have a lot of phobias now." Or more like things that triggered his past memories. Things that even his coming back to the Negaverse didn't take away from him. They were still vivid if not more with how nightmares and time had skewed things at times.
It was years and yet he still was crippled by the thoughts of it.

Laven closed her eyes and rested her forehead against his. “When I said I cared about you Wolframite, it wasn’t a shallow statement. I care about who you were, who you are, and who you want to become.” His goals were important to her which is why she worried about being a distraction or a liability. “Please don’t take my lack of questions as disinterest or that I’m trying to ignore what happened in your past. I don’t want to pry into things you’re not ready to talk about or ask the wrong questions.” Which is why she continued to wait patiently for him to explain and would continue waiting if that’s what it took. “I’ve said it once before and I’ll say it again; when you’re ready I’ll be here.” “But for now, the bed’s made and we’re both exhausted.” Laven reached up to cup the back of his ear, his fur soft beneath her hand she gave him a soft kiss upon his brow. “At least laydown, ok?” least one of them falls over and brings the other down with them.

She didn't' want to be invasive, but she wanted to be there. He knew that, but he also wanted her to know he wasn't purposely not considering her own feelings either.
Still, it was true that it was already a long day. So he nodded and felt warm as she touched his hair and ears and directed him to the now double bed that took up her room. Crawling in with her, he kicked off his shoes and was glad he was in comfortable clothing since going in uniform before their patrol. In there, he moved under the blankets and fur and got comfortable.
"Laven, you think you could stay up a few minutes more?" He asked. "I want to tell you."

“I’ll stay up as long as you need me to.” To keep herself awake, she positioned one of the pillows behind her so she could sit up. The blankets were draped over her legs for warmth but to keep herself from falling asleep it was best that she didn’t lay down just yet. “Tell me what's on your mind, please?”

"I don't know if you figured it out. It's kind of known with some people who have been around a while." He said, his voice a whisper in the warmth and safety of the room. With time, he knew, even the past of what had happened would become unknown to many, and he had mixed feeling thinking about it. On one hand, it could all go away, and no one would know what happened to him. On another, he didn't want anyone to forget the horrible things the Blood Moon Court had done and to think that senshi were unable to be as ruthless and cruel as they were often told the Negaverse was.
He didn't want to forget, but he also found it hard to dive back in again. But if things continued, it was better for Laven to know what bothered him and why without being caught off guard all the time. She wanted so much to be there for him that it didn't seem right for others to know and not her. If anything should know, someone he trusted, someone who wouldn't pity him, then it was her.
"A long time ago. When I first became a Captain.." He knew that must sound strange to her. To say it that way. "...a group of us were captured by senshi. The group was called the Blood Moon Court. They wanted information they could use against the Negaverse. Against people we knew."
He turned onto his back as he stared at the ceiling, taking slow, measured breathes. Yellow eyes became focused on some distant world far off in his mind.
"They took our crystals from us so we couldn't call for backup. They kept us separated in windowless rooms."
"Chained to chairs. No sleep. No food. No water."
"For days asking us. Each senshi taking turns." He went quiet and it took a minute for him to regain himself from his thoughts.
"We were close enough to hear each other screaming every time they hurt someone, but we didn't talk. I didn't know anything. I think the lieutenants didn't either. Then they brought us together and asked us again, and this time they started to kill us off one by one. That's when Tanzanite turned into a full youma and the commotion of her breaking out of the building alerted the Negaverse to where we were. They came to get us."

“The woman” with the “red hair.” Gaze set somewhere in the distance, beyond the walls of her bedroom out past the barracks and into the unexplored parts of the Rift. Her thoughts were broken, her lips moved yet not all words were spoken. “She did this…” Absently Laven touched the scars on the side of his face. “It’ wasn’t an accident.” He wasn’t caught in a building fire or got hurt in some battle. No, he was captured, bound with no means of escape or ability to call out for help and then tortured. “Why you? Why any of you? What vendetta did they have to warrant such treatment?” War was an ugly thing, a concept she was still wrapping her mind around. Despite the training, she was no soldier and while some things seemed like they fell within the grey area of mortality were still very black and white, right and wrong, and this... torturing prisoners of war was one of the most unforgivable sins.
