Crickets were alive that autumn evening as a tan and white mare stepped through the tall pines. Her dark blue eyes watched her surroundings as she went, hooves placing themselves carefully on the needle littered ground. She had found herself lost in the denseness of the forest far from where her father and mother resided. Stopping in a small opening to which the moon beamed down and off the blue horn that extended from her forehead. Frowning, Kashi gave herself a shake, dew flicked from the wolf pelt that laid over her back. This was something she had never thought would happen in her life, getting lost in a dense unfamiliar forest... Then again almost everything was unfamiliar to her at this moment.
"Are all the forests like this one? Many trees this close together?" It was clear that she was new to the world, even for being an adult and out of her parent's 'nest', Kashi was still very new. "I swear I have been going in circles, is there any end to these strange trees?"
Little did she know that someone else was watching her. Not that she would have seen him. His greens made him blend in nicely as deep red eyes watched the lost wolf mare. Shifting through the trees, light green hooves knowing every root, stone and stump, Evergreen circled around the mare near silent. These pines were his home and he rarely got visiters... Specially cute ones...

"Dangerous time to be wandering this part of the forest." Evergreen said as he stood just outside the light, his green molted coloring making him blend in with the greenery around them. "More around here then stars."
Kashi stopped a moment and gave the area she was in a glance around. She didn't see anything at first before her ears picked up where the voice was coming from. Her tail flicking beneath her pelted tail, Kashi turned towards where her watcher was standing. "Oh? Doesn't seem that dangerous out here." She gave a small glance around as if looking for trouble. "You sure it is trouble in this part of the forest?"
There was a bit of humor to her voice that made the shadow chuckle and step around the tree he stood near and come a little closer to the lightly colored mare. His light colored horns dragged against the bark of the nearest tree. This caused the mare to turn and glance at the space behind her. Ears flicking back a moment before shifting back forward. It was here that she saw the moving antlers that were the lighter green then the rest of the green around them. She didn't move from her spot.
"Trying to scare me?" She asked tilting her head, well aware that she could become a wolf it need be.
"Nah. Just wanted to get your attention." Evergreen said as he stepped out of the shadows and into what light there was around them. "So what is a pretty mare like you doing this far into the forest?"
Kashi watched the strange green stallion as he approached her. To what he was saying she just gave her cuties smile, not exactly the most easy to scare mare. Given her father was a lupine and her mother was a devious one who entangled her father in vines. "Wouldn't you like to know." Her tone a little mocking, but she still smiles. Evergreen only giving a hearty laugh that echoed through the trees.

A chuckle escaped the stallion at the statement that had come from the mare. "In fact, I do. If you don't mind." his tone one of amusement as he watched the mare closely. "Enlighten me."
Kashi eyed the ever green colored stallion as he watched her with amusement. Was she that amusing to this stallion? Didn't he realize that she was more dangerous then most things that live amongst the trees? Apparently not as it seemed to him that this was more a game then anything else.
"Well, if you are that interested to know." She began moving a little closer to the stallion, her tail flicking behind her. "I am just wandering, seeing what there is to see." Not the complete truth, but she wasn't about to let on that she had gotten herself lost. That would have been the bigger crime.
"Just wandering, huh?" The stallion wan't born yesterday as this was the most common excuse that he had heard from almost everyone. "Want to try that one again?"
Kashi looked at the stallion a little confused and surprised. She took a step back as this stallion didn't seem in the least bit worried about what she was. Surely he knew, right? "I don't have to explain myself to you. These aren't your woods." She went back at him, ears flicking backwards.
"Actually, yes, this small part of the forest is mine. This is my home." He said raising his antlered head up a bit, watching the mare. "So, I shall ask you again, what is a wolf like yourself doing in this part of the forest?"
