On the outskirts of Vale, just a few miles into the forest, there sits a treehouse with firefly jugs hanging in the tree. There lives a feisty head haired woman alone. At night, the fireflies light the way to the treehouse. Normally during the day she isn't there, but in the streets of Vale trying to make ends meet.
Having had a wonderful day despite being depressed and underwhelmed for the day, she would approach her home on the outskirts. It was a risk living out on the outskirts, but it was a risk she was willing to take for a peace of mind. Not bothering to go inside right away, she would sit out on the bench and finish her treats from the tea shop. The sun hadn't gone down yet making it safer to be out for the time being. She knew once the sun went down, it would be best to be on the inside of her home because things became creepy and scary. "Well my dear girls. We've had an adventures day I must say. Meeting a tiger and a fox, gave away one of our famous flower crowns, and listened to someone play the flute. Even stood in the mist of the almighty Beacon Academy. They used to beat up on us each year." It would seem the red head had gone crazy talking to herself, but in reality, this was her coping. As the sun went down, she would climb the latter to her dwelling and call it a night until the morning come.
Jackie hoped for a goodnight but that was not to be the case. Beowulf would be on the hunt. It's body was severely damaged as it was thrown out of its pack. It was hunted on. Beaten like dogs. However, it survived and it showed it's toughness. Limping towards the treehouse, the despair of lunacy was intoxicating to the beowful. A cry would come out of its jaws giving a warning that it was on the prowl. Whoever was in the treehouse was dealing with something dark. The smile was only a facade for its true inner core emotion. Knocking into the treehouse, it may not have had any hope to knock it over, but smacking into the base of the tree was surely going to give it a shake!!!
As sweet dreams of being at home in Atlas, her family at her wedding and her twins girls waddling down the aisle as flower girls, and her marrying the man that claimed he loved her. It was all sunshine and rainbows until she was awaken by the thud to her treehouse. Not only was her heart hurting, but something dare disturb her precious fantasy. Throwing the covers off, she was now the pissed of one. Looking out her window, an animal like growl come from her lips. Grabbing her swords, she would exit the treehouse. "Okay. You may have been the one initially pissed off, but you have disturbed my sleep. I am about to whip your a**." It was go time was the trees around her lite up the beast and her. With her aura being transferred to her blades, she was ready to slice and dice. Running up to the beowolf, she decided she was going to chop it down starting with it's front legs. Extending her arms with a bland in each, she would slid under the grim aiming to chop off legs.
How delightful! The guest of honor appeared without hesitation. The survivor of a beowulf wasn't going to go down that easily. Her slide underneath did damage the beast, causing burns and damage to the legs but not enough to cut them off. Just enough to make the beast angry. A cry of pain released from its lips before it quickly turned around for a strike. Claws out, it spun with the intent of scratching Jackie with its claws. However, if she was closer than expected, it be less of slash and more of a smack which had enough strength to send her flying into a tree. If Jackie wanted to defest the beast she was going to have to bring it. She would need get few more hits in. Or try use her surroundings. There was a tree nearby that looked like it was doing a gansta lean.

❝Forgive, but don't forget.❞
This beowolf was a stubborn bugger. He wasn't going down without a fight and Jackie was prepared to give him one, What she wasn't ready for, however, was flying into a nearby tree. She tried to get her aura to cover her body to lessen the impact, but she couldn't do it with how fast it had happened. Oh, boy did she feel it was well. He back was scratched up from the bark ripping through her pajama top. At this point, she was 38 hot. He had ruined her pjs and gave her a massive headache. Peeling herself from the tree, she was going to have to shake it off. Looking around, some of her firefly jars were broken. It was thing after thing being put on her list to kick this ******** grims' a**. "Alright b***h. You wanna destroy my home. Let's dance. I know them legs already burning. I'm about to tire them up some more. You ain't gonna be walking once I'm done with yo a**." Jackie would charge at it again with her swords lit up in aura. She wasn't the strongest in her swordsmanship, but she did her best. It was going to be in real trouble she her weapon transformed. This time, she would be more careful to try and stay clear of being swatted again, but if she was aiming for legs that was going to probably something she was asking for.
XXX Pathetic. To be out here like one was truly safe and had no issues, that's something only humans could do. To be so prideful. To be so crazy. To be so incredibly dense. Fueled by emotions, at least something a Grim has nothing to worry about. They were intelligent yes. They can be goated into actions. Sure, but they knew nothing of pride. Only survival. Seeing her charge, the experienced beowolf would hop back to give itself room and would parry Jackie's blade with a strike from its claws causing the claws and Jackie's blade to be deadlocked into a strike. She had aimed for its legs last time. The beowulf was not going to give her that chance again!!! What would be the outcome of their deadlock?!
OOC: Roll a 10 sided Die. If it's 5 or higher, your aura will be double effective to the point its as if your posting level is doubled in power. If this occurs, the beowulf's arm is cut off. If lower than 5, hope got back up plan.

❝Forgive, but don't forget.❞
That was impossible. Did she really just cut its arm off? That felt great and weird at the same time, but there was not time to dwell on that because it still had another arm and a head. As long as it was alive, she wasn't going to be able to rest. Plus there was no way in hell she was going to spend the rest of the night in her tree house in case another one had the balls to get these hands. "That's right b***h. I cut it off. What you gonna do about it?" She said taunting the grim. "I am just getting warmed up." Transferring her weapon into her bow, it was go time and she was aiming for kills this time. Screw continuing to toy with it, she was tried and needed some rest if she was gonna work tomorrow any. Circling the beast, she tried to avoid getting smacked into a tree again. She would fire off a few body shots and depending on if it was trying to swat her was determining if those shots were hitting or missing. Either way once she would get it to face her, she would aim one of her aura arrows at it face with the hopes of killing it. If she couldn't kill it, she was hoping for at least an eye.
XXX Impossible indeed. The Beowulf was more injured than it realized. Usually, such a person wouldn't be a threat. Not this much of a threat but it's past was doing more harm than good. Being knowledgable and adaptive was good but at the same time the beatings it had taken recently weakened it. usually, Jackie be dead by now. Either way, with the loss of a limb, the Beowulf would grow pissed. HIghly pissed off. A loud howl of pain was followed by a charge. Jackie was wasting time. As she circled, the beast pursued and went after it. The arrows would end up missing as the beowulf launched itself into the air, and with a missing limb would try to pounce on top of the woman. The body shots missed as they would land aimlessly into the forest. In midleap, the arrows that were aiming for the face of the beowulf would connect but still wasn't enough to kill it but left it extremely weaken. Still, being hit by the arrows wasn't going to stop it from coming down onto the body. Now, was she going to be able to dodge or try gamble and finish it while it was in the air.

❝Forgive, but don't forget.❞
s**t! Her arrows were missing the beast. That was to be expected. Once it jumped in the air, she was going to take her gamble and try to kill if off in the air. Screw trying to dodge it. Plus she also had a last minute ace up her sleeve as well just in case it did try to land on her. There had to always be a back up plan right? Well the little lady had one if she couldn't shot it down in mid-air. It was pissing her off that some of her trees were catching fire as she was missing the grim. This was also the first time, she felt real fear that she would not be able to get the job done.Either way, this was it. Continuing to shot her arrows hoping to make at least one vital hit before it came down was the goal.
With the beast died, she finally started to feel the pain of being smacked into the tree earlier as her adrenaline rush was starting to wear off. On top of that, she was dead a** tired. Grabbing her 'children' from the tree house, she would start to leave to find somewhere to stay for the night. There was no way she was staying in the outskirts to be attacked again. Not tonight anyway. Walking a few miles, she would start to find herself in the rural parts of Vale.
Things had not gone how she had planned them to in the water festival. It was okay because those that did stop by made her day. Now she had to move on to more important things like making herself stronger. She was a former leader. How could she have let all her trauma take her out like this? Living in the woods of Vale, hiding. Just trying to be a slice of her former self. This was saddening even for someone who just went on a rescue mission. Kai was gone off on another mission and where was she? Moving her tree house 5 miles down the road from his because she was crazy enough to think that living in the outskirts was reasonable at one point. Was she trying to die? Maybe so, but that wasn't her life anymore. It was time. she needed to get that through her head. No more feeling sorry for herself. She was strong enough to make it to Vale. Now she needed to be strong enough to push herself back to greatness.
Going outside, she would start to practice with her bow and arrow. They were her strong suits. She knew how to hit with accuracy and precision. Her swordsmanship needed a lot of work still, but she could hold her own. "Weapons are conjugates of aura. I am the light in the darkness. Therefore I shall light my way to victory. I do not know defeat." She recited before taking in a deep breath. Conjuring up her first arrow, she would release it upon a tree. Again, she'd make another arrow appear before releasing it upon a second tree. Making one more arrow appear, she'd activate her semblance. Using her aura and semblance, she created a flaming arrow. Releasing it, she walked the third tree burn. It was like igniting a flame within her soul

¨You are better than what you make yourself out to be. I am sad i was not able come by your booth but seem so busy. Too many people for my blood¨ Virulent stated. It was true. Mainly kids were at her booth though. He did at least walk by but she was was busy helping a kid knock an arrow. He chuckled underneath his hood thinking about the motto she stated. It wasn´t to mock her. He found it cute. ¨It´s almost like a code we night stalkers have¨ he started before walking towards her. Why was he visiting her today? Good question. Many answers maybe. ¨I glad the move was good. But you confuse me¨ he started before looking at her and then at the tree that was on fire. ¨You have the skills. You was once an amazing huntress. Yet, you want to live the life of a simple jeweler?"He wondered. He did not wonder if he overstepped boundaries. His nature was always to be direct and confrontational. It probably why he made Aeralin cry with the truth.
Turning around, she looked at the councilmen. "Thank you, sir. It is fine. I wasn't too busy, but I had enough business that came through. I am sure you aren't one for many people." she was wondering what brought him by her home. It seems he'd been there the whole time she'd been practicing her shooting. He'd made a statement about her motto. Even chuckled at it. It came off a little disrespectful until he said it sounded something like the night stalker code. "The night stalkers?" She questioned never hearing the of this faction. "How do I confuse you, sir? She asked him. There was curiosity laced in her voice. then he answered her question. Yes, she was skilled, but she'd been through some things in her life that made her regress. "I only spend my days as a jeweler because I need to survive here in Vale. I did not graduate from Beacon therefore I am not in the headmasters' inner circle. I have any ground to stand on here. The only thing I can do is rebuild myself day by day in hopes that I become a great huntress again." Unlike Aeralin, Jacqueline was a big girl. He had asked her a question and she answered her. The truth was, she had potential and she needed to start harnessing again.
