An early morning riser, Bone Wraith had risen before the first light of the sun. As always, she was careful not to awaken the sleeping hulk beside her. A pause was given, the grey female glancing back at her mate. He was kind of cute when he was asleep.....
She rather enjoyed those quiet breaths in the morning, before the rest of the world seemed to awaken. There had been a few times she'd even been gifted a vision at such hours. It had slowly become her custom to waken before the sun, seeing that everything was in order for her day, before making her way to the Waning Pools. There, she would allow herself to fall into a meditative state, opening her mind and soul to anything the Moon wished to impart on her. Sometimes she got glimpses of things in the waters. Other times, there was nothing. And yet, at other times, she found her visions coming from unexpected sources. To date, the ice had been her main source for the visions she received.
Today was no different then other mornings. She went to gaze into the mesmerizing depths of the Waning Pools. Alas, there was nothing that was to be shared with her this morning. And as the suns rays began to shine, Wraith found herself groaning. For with the rise of the sun, another would soon rise.
There may have been the tiniest hint of an intimate look that crossed the battered female's features. But it was brief and gone before one could put a name to it.
Time to work. Wraith spent the rest of her morning tending to the Pools, cleaning and making things look presentable to their lady High Seer. When she felt this task was relatively done, Wraith made her way to the Healer's, checking on patients there and if any new injuries had made their way in the night. She was usually awoken right away if there was need of her skills, as it was important to set bones as soon as possible.
But nothing to crunch her teeth against this time. Well, at least not yet.
But he would be by soon. Oh very soon. Whether that was the Moon's intuition... or her own personal one, she knew her mate. That loud and obnoxious beast would be by to shatter her peaceful morning. Wraith felt her ears flatten.
SIIIIIIGH.

Anyone near their shared cave den would hear the customary roar of a yawn as Stormborn woke. Must as he disliked how his mate rose before the sun, it at least meant she couldn't complain about his loud morning routine as he popped joints and sprawled over the floor like a fur rug. If Stormborn took his sweet time, that was his rare pleasure when work wasn't immediately calling.
He considered dropping by the Waning Pools for a morning kiss but decided against it ultimately when a fellow warrior hailed him over to share a snack. The pups needed to be trained in stamina that day, which meant they had the pleasure of watching their teachers eat instead of them. Not that Stormborn thought it cruel: longing and spite both were excellent motivators, if a wish to please them wasn't, and food wasn't always a guarantee in the mountains. Especially with winter fast approaching.
With the morning exercises done and the sun past its zenith, Stormborn finally wound his way to the healers, wearing his usual big grin as he greeted comrades in passing. "MY LOVE," he barked in a booming voice, "I AM HERE! COME TO ME, MY SWEET LITTLE BONE BITER!"
He knew Bone Wratih hated it. That's why he loved doing it twice as much, his affection genuine but purposefully oversaturated.

Some days, she dearly wished there were many injured wolves for her to work her skills with. Hearing their pained howls and snarls, avoiding (mostly) their snapping jaws. There was a deep sense of pleasure at being the one responsible for such reactions. And then a sense of pride when she was able to see the warriors she helped heal back out in the field. Unfortunately, this was not such a day as there were not enough injured for her to tend to. And those that were, needed the aide of a proper healer of medicines.
Unless they wished for their death. Then she'd attend them.
So, when she gazed back out at the sun, now shedding its light warmly on their cold mountain home... he arrived.
Wraith groaned, seeing a few of the healer wolves cringe at the sudden volume of noise and shooting her a glance. Probably wondering if they would witness a glorious battle this morning.
"You ungrateful cod!" She barked, puffing up all of her petite form and meeting the beast head on. "Have you no respect for sleeping wounded kin?" When she was face to face with her mate, it was quite comical to see the smaller grey female take on the darker male. "The only sweet thing you will get, is the feeling of my fangs in your flank."
Siiiiigh. He really was a handsome wolf....

Stormborn's tail wagged so hard, it almost made him wiggle in place as he gazed lovingly down at his mate. "Ah, SUCH FIERCENESS!" he crowed, pleased as a pup at her indignation. "I WOULD WANT NOTHING MORE THAN YOUR LOVE BITES!" Which was quite a misnomer - Bone Wraith had threatened to chip his bones, and several times it had felt like she had done so. It was a sweet pain.
He turned his head slightly, meeting the gazes of several other healers and lollygaggers. "IF THEY ARE NOT YET AWAKE, THEY SHOULD BE!" Stormborn declared. "WE SLEEP ONLY WHEN WE ARE DEAD, HAHA! AND IN YOUR TENDER PAWS, THEY WILL FIND IT ANOTHER DAY! NOW, HAVE YOU ANY TIME FOR ME, LIGHT OF MY LIFE?"
