There was nothing in this large world that could beat the peace and tranquility of the forest; well that's what Cyrena thought anyway. She walked slowly down one of the many beaten paths within the ancient forest, ears open as the sounds of wildlife washed around her. She was at peace here since she did not have to worry about being attacked via hateful folk who found her kind as monsters. Here she could just be herself and enjoy her day with worry. Oh what to do today~ The immortal thought as her tail flicked from side to side. Should I venture into one of the old ruins or dare risk adventuring into one of the villages... Oh, the choices.
The sounds of the forest where gentle only broken by the heavy clank of armor moving through the forest. A old soul had found himself wandering the forest as he had gotten lost a few days ago but still he pressed onward. The being itself was an undead, A dullahan by classification. His movements seems to move with a purpose. Towards what though, one would have to ask. Bas stepped over a fallen tree and found himself at a small pool of water. A gentle escaped him lips. Hilarious enough it was just a reflex from when he was alive. "Where am I? Where should i be heading?" the questions swarmed the Dullahans mind as he ran a armored hand over his helmet.

As the stone path winded it's way to the outskirts of Umbrionia, the young human mage found the stone giving way to gravel, then dirt and vegetation as the tree canopy began to form over his head. He had made it. Ralian gave an exhale, looking back to look for his companion, but saw nothing. He put a hand to one of the sheathed sickles on his belt and made his way deeper into the dark Ancient Forest.
The sun soon got blocked by the thick growth of trees that filled the wood, and Ralian's ears began to adjust to the sounds of forest life. Insect calls, the movement of deer and other creatures through the brush. The deeper he went, the more strange sounds he heard, and found himself pondering about stories of forest spirits. He shook the idea out of his head, and the sound of clanking armor reached his ears from a ways off to the right. Cautiously, he made his way towards the sound, noticing a stream cutting through the forest.
As it reached its destination, a small pool of water in the middle of the dense brush, Ralian darted behind a nearby tree, noticing a figure peering into the water. Ralian dared not move or make a sound, and kept a hand on his sickle. How did he find himself in this situation again...?
The immortal continued to venture on through the forest while still pondering over what she should do to pass her time. She still thought of venturing into one of the villages nearby but the thought of attack lingered in her mind. Hmm perhaps I will go with the ruins... they do lead to such great aventures~ She chimed as she stepped over a fallen tree as the sounds of rushing water reached her ears. It was not the only sound that touched her ears for she also heard the clanking of armor which she found unusual within the quiet forest. She ventured towards the sound and came across a stream of water and not far from the pool stood a man dressed in armor. Well... this is something you don't see everyday She said to herself.
The reflection in the pool of water was much different then the man that stared down at it. Another sigh escaped the being as he wandered over to a nearby log. It was covered in moss and a bit damp due to being so close to the water. The armored man took a seat and produced a map from a pouch. The parchment was weathered and torn in many places. The parchment showed its age when it torn as the being pulled a bit to hard. "Aw Frak...". The dullahan seemed agitated by the map before he set it next to him, though the sight of dark skinned being filled his vision. He made out a tail and set of wings as the most defining features. yet he detected no hostile intent from the creature. 'Maybe it can help me'The dullahan thought as it raised a hand in greeting.
"Hello there!" he called his voice booming and loud yet with a welcoming in tone towards the new comer. "I wonder if you can help me out of this predicament I seem to have found myself." His voice was a bit softer as his hand motioned for her to step closer. The only form of weapons the creature would be able to see was a pair of rather two handed looking weapons. A scythe and a Great sword crossed across his back. While the dullahan spoke he had a voice in the back of his mind tell him he was being watched by some one other then this creature, yet he dismissed it, who would in the right mind attack a dullahan.
Ralian peered out from his hiding place behind the tree and looked down into the small meadow, the pool glittering as occasional moonlight shone through the dense brush above. He heard the warrior call out to another party, and followed his gaze to a fae-like creature. He looked hard at this newcomer, her skin uniquely dark, almost somewhat translucent. Reminiscent of a starry night sky. Entranced and admittedly interested, Ralian moved back behind his cover, giving a sigh out. He stood and hesitantly made is way down the hill towards the pool.
"A predicament, did you say?" Ralian said, trying not to startle either of them, though more for his own safety. His eyes glanced between the two of them, trying to figure out exactly what they were. He pulled the shroud of his head, revealing his mostly-human face, except for the golden eyes that shone slightly through the dark. "Pardon the interruption. Just happened upon you and heard that you may need assistance?" Ralian paused, looking over to the fae creature again. He couldn't quite figure out what she was, and though he tried to adopt a relaxed stance, couldn't avoid revealing his defensive vibes.

"Hmm? The Fae looked upon the armored man as he greeted her in a tone that showed no hostility. She would take a few steps forward before coming to a stop just on the opposite side of the pool. "Oooh and what predicament may that be? She asked in a soft tone of voice. She figured she already knew given he was peering at a map only moments ago. He was probably lost and was hoping she knew a way out of the forest.
Her gaze would shift when her ears picked up some rustling nearby that revealed another hidden nearby. Her blue orbs peering over him with such curiosity. Oh must be my lucky day~ Two individuals to keep me company The Fae thought as she gave the boy a warm smile. "Yes It would seem this knight might need some assistance. If I am correct then you must be lost and hoping for some directions, am I correct?" Her gaze would return to the knight.
The Fae's immediate assessment and understanding of his situation was incredible. The act to care for another beings blight when it came to fae always came to negative light in the dullahans eyes. "Why yes I do need help...." his attention turned to the direction the fae was looking and the Dullahan turned to find a boy standing there. A raised eyebrow behind the helmet was the only response to the boys appearance. A mortal in the presence of a fae was usually bad news as the Dullahan knew they enjoyed playing tricks on them. A subtle sigh followed the dullahan as he waved the boy over. "Yes, Yes maybe you can help me as well seeing as you are traveling through the same area." the words spoken where kind as the dullahan knew he might have to protect the boy

As he made his way closer to the pool, Ralian made a point to take in the surroundings around him. Though it was fairly dark, the forest was strangely beautiful. The moonlight reflected off the water and the grass that lined the forest floor, and any sounds of wildlife were quiet. Relaxed by the atmosphere, he leaned on a nearby rock and gave a small sigh. He took a look at the pool and became curious if it was simply that...a pool. Or perhaps it could be a fairie's spring, from tales of his childhood. Maybe even belonging to the being he found himself with. He shook off the idea and looked back to the knight. "Are you trying to find something in particular? Or someone?" he asked, admiring the colours and golden detail of his armour. He also appeared to be heavily armed, so perhaps some distance was a good idea. Ralian took a look down to his own modest garb and suddenly felt somewhat underdressed. He folded the shroud into his satchel, moving it to hide the scythes on the belt underneath his cloak before returning to the conversation.
"I can only assume he is looking for someplace" The fae spoke softly as her blue orbs glanced between the two. "If a town or village is what you seek then head due north or due south and you'll likely stumble upon one. If by chance you seek a person than I may call to the wind in hope to find them for you" She said as she focused her gaze upon the boy "Now what of you boy... What brings you to this forest?

Arys, taking another look around the forest turned his head to the fae creature as she asked what he was doing here. He hesitated, trying to find the words. Perhaps it couldn't hurt to try and make allies where he could...? He cleared his throat and spoke. "I was coming here to learn some things with someone I had met, but it appears she's not coming." He stopped, looking back to the path he had come along. "I could wait a little longer, I suppose," Arys muttered, his voice trailing off. He looked to the two, both of which at this point would be shooting him curious looks. "But thats...more my problem than it is yours." He stood up from his leaning position against a rock, tracing a circle against it with his finger. As thoughts of being abandoned turned to memories of being alone, Arys felt the shadows coalescing around his hand. He shook it off, trying to calm his mind. He turned back to the conversation, hoping that little tic wasn't noticed.
As the two of them continued to talk, Ralian looked back along the path. Perhaps the one he had been talking to before wasn't coming after all. Maybe he should head back to the town after all, and see if he could find out what to do next. He looked back at the two odd characters. "I think I should be heading back to town. Maybe we'll meet again. Good bye for now," he said, backing away from the two and backtracking is way through the forest back to the town from whence he had come.
The Dullahan rolled up the ancient map and slotted it away into a belt loop designed to hold it. "On second Thought I think i'll be fine. Thank you for your assistance but I must be leaving." The Clink and tap of his armor was what summoned his leave as he headed into a thicker part of the forest and was soon gone from view. The only indicator that he had even been there at all was the impressions left by his boots on the grass.

Cyrena just shrugged as the two took their leave. She watched them make sure they escaped the forest safely before she resumed her usual, which was pondering what she should do.
