Somewhere along the lines, Hessonite had thought it would be a good idea to chuck a cat into Chara's immediate vicinity. Something along the lines of them making a good pair, and something about Chara needing a friend and needing to stop sitting about his room staring at the ceiling when not doing Nega work.

What the hell did she expect? He woke up in this world completely devoid of everything except some memory of some loser who wanted to save him that went a** up one day, or so he figured, and now here he was. Jobless, homeless, and broke as ********.

What was some little kitten supposed to be capable of anyway? Sure, these Mauvians could shoot lasers or some s**t, but other than that, what the ******** could they do? Chip in particular was this tiny little fluff of a thing, probably too tiny to even paw at his knees. Cute but also kinda useless seeming. And it was more than obvious that Hessonite dumped him on Chara just to keep him out of her own hair.

Although... Rumor did have it that the weird little kitten had tried to lock-pick the General Queen's Office door.. That was something...

Huh, maybe the kitten would have some use after all. And Chara, as expected, was still bored out of his mind, so why not? With a groan, he got off his a**, getting up from the bed and headed down the barrack's hallway. He arrived at the door that he was told Chip hid behind 90% of the time, and gave it a few loud kicks with the toe of his heels.

"Hey, you in there, munchkin?! Open up!"

Now, Chara knew the Mauvians could come up with some weird s**t sometimes. Weird cooking things, some lasers here and there, something sad and depressing about past lives or some other bullshit, but this.. Now this was cool.

"What the hell is that?" How could he not ask given that it seemed pretty impossible to get such a thing to work. Rather than keep talking, he got into the circle where that kitten was in and sat down cross-legged after closing the door behind him.

"How does this even work?"

Movies were never something Chara liked to sit around and watch. They got boring; why would he sit around and watch nonsense when he could be outside doing something way cooler? But this? This was way too cool, and he had half a mind to just steal it for himself at some point. One particularly fiery mass of flying nothing made Chara flinch, juuuust a little bit.

"I gotta hand it to you, this is pretty awesome. Think you could get me one of these for my barrack room?" He'd love to turn the entire place into his own personal cinema! Then again, he didn't want to live in the barracks forever. There just needed to be more loot-gathering first.

"Say... Since you already borrowed a computer, we could always borrow other things! Make some money, get some more tech and do bigger, better things with it! I mean, this is cool and all, but I'm sure you want to do something even cooler, right?"

"Well yeah, some people don't like it when you take their stuff. That's why you don't get caught and why you take from people you don't know! Who were you taking stuff from before? Other Negaversers? Nah, you gotta think bigger than that! There's a whole WORLD out there full of s**t you can permanently borrow, and none would be the wiser." Maybe it was because the kitten was still so young and tiny that he didnt' know the finesse that came with stealing stuff.

That was fine, that was what big brother Chara was here for!

"Don't tell me you'd go around stealing from Generals and stuff. You know some of those people are downright evil, right? They'd skin you for taking their stuff!

“So you’re saying you’re Hessonite’s precious little kitty? Probably not that precious given that she pretty much threw you at me.” Enough of the movie was enough, and he stood up, picking up the kitten with one hand around his middle.

Good luck escaping the firm, but not crushing grip of an eternal!

“Of course I do. You’re tiny, pick locks, and are cute and an excellent distraction. Plus I gotta make sure you are cool enough to keep hanging out with me. And hey, if you’re good, I’ll even give you a tiny little bandana to hide your kitty identity. What do you say? Too bad, you get no choice.”

“What? Why would I put you on my hat? I’m sure you’d just... Gnaw at it or something.I bet you’re teething aren’t you? Poor baby thing. I’ll get you a toy or something to chew on.” It took a bit to find the off switch for the projector, but eventually he flicked it off and then started down the hall. Chara would stop by his room first to dump out the stuff he had in his pocket space.

“Stop squirming, will yah? You’re gonna a hurt yourself.”

"I didn't say you were gonna eat it! I said you were gonna gnaw on it! You know, like babies or puppies do. Just bite anything they want." An eyebrow was raised that that particular phrasing of things but... It was a kitten. Surely Chip didn't know anything about Innuendos.

"Oh no, are you one of those cats? The kind that makes everything into a pun? If you promise not to say that again and keep all puns to like.. Two percent of our conversations, I'll consider letting you ride my shoulder or something." Now that he was back in his room, Chara opened his pocket space and began to dump everything out.

Some snacks, a coat, a couple of wallets he had pick pocketed, some pretty rocks, some seeds. The contents were completely random but each one was placed neatly on his desk.

He'd have to comb through them later.

"Hmm... Do Cats have weird little pocket things too?"

“Man, Mau, kitten, baby, you’re just a tiny little brat so far. Just say you’re being carried. I’m not hurting you, and you’re not about to get thrown, so you’re fine.” Chara did eventually relent though and place Chip on his shoulder. The kitten literally felt lighter than a handful of beans, there was nothing to worry about.

“You might as well empty that space here too. Where we’re going you’re gonna get a lot of cool things.”
