Appearance: Helane is average in height and built like this (rectangle) but due to her work on fishing boats, hauling nets, she's developed good upper body strength. She has pale skin with frizzy blonde hair. She is also missing the last two fingers on her left hand, and the pinkie on her right, is also missing the fleshy part of her ear on the left hand side, her hair tends to hide it. Crazy looking eyes, (they're wider open than usual and looks especially freaky when she smiles) ((look up overly attached girlfriend))

Personality: Helane is really actually very friendly, she's a bubbly, happy person, nothing much seems to get her down, she wants to be everyone's friend. She's also very loud when she talks, she needs to learn to tone this down a bit but she finds it difficult because she doesn't really realise she's so loud until someone points it out so she can make a conscious effort to be quieter, she will never ever be a soft spoken person though, she doesn't know how to whisper, so don't tell her anything you don't want to be overheard. This combined with the way she looks can cause others to be wary of her, some even calling her creepy so she finds it hard to make new friends. However it's usually not too long before her bubbly personality shines through and you realise she's not really as scary as she seems. She works hard to prove herself worth something, even if she doesn't need to. She likes to have verbal approval for things she's accomplished and struggles with self esteem a little when special things she has done for others goes unnoticed.

History: Helane had a fairly usual Fisherhold childhood, she got along well with her parents and was supported well throughout her growing up, hard work was a must, thrown in the deep end, literally, from a young age, learned to swim before she could walk, could gut and clean a fish in record time however when she was still fairly young she lost some of her fingers, her father had taken her out on a boat for her first sea fishing trip when, during a haul, she got her hands tangled in line and lost three fingers. She spent a while longer than normal on land before her mother let her go out on the boats again. When she was older, she started going out on the boats again, earning a pretty good name for herself as she worked very diligently, was loud enough to be heard even during a storm and always wanting to please the masterfishers on board. During a particularly big haul a line snapped and whipped out at her face, she turned her head just in time to avoid being blinded but ended up losing an ear and a chunk of cheek. She healed up well thanks to a resident Journeyman Healer and just has an old long scar now. She's spent her life adapting to the missing fingers, a missing ear wasn't much of an issue to her. She had always admired the Dragonriders, especially when they came over to enjoy the weather and the beach. Recently a blue and his rider came to their small fishing hold and Helane, as well as a couple others from her Hold, were Searched. As much as she loved the fisher life, Helane jumped at the chance to become a rider, so be able to explore more than just the seas close to home.

Other: Has a soft spot for Dolphins.
