For the actions leading up to this, please see Hovercat!Chip was in high spirits. He had finished (well, mostly) his Catted Battle Drone: To untrained eyes, it was basically a meter-wide flying saucer with a tiny kitten perched in a little cockpit in the center, an open-mouthed grin on his face as it maneuvered in accordance with the steps of his paws. And it had two Star Wars looking laser things rather roughly strapped to each side of it. All he needed now, by his reckoning, was a proper test...which obviously involved pitting it against a unsuspecting victim stalwart volunteer from among the officers of the Negaverse. And, luckily, it didn't take long before he encountered one that looked like he would fit the bill perfectly. "Hey you!" he called out cheerfully. "Fight me!" To accent this, he tapped the fire buttons for his two lasers, and with a probably speaker-generated ZAP, ZAP, two red lines streaked through the air near the Lieutenant he'd come upon, and impacted the wall--leaving no marks at all. At least it wasn't too dangerous.

After Wolframite had taken the time to show him the castle, Rakovanite made it a point to spend some of his powered time learning whatever he could gather off the Negaverse's computers. He had his tablet, sure, and it was functional enough, but still limited in what portions of the database it could access. Rakovanite liked this aspect of his new 'job.' He'd never minded studying subjects of interest, and the oddities surrounding chaos, its capabilities, and the opposition were certainly interesting, to put it mildly.
Rakovanite had been prepared to leave the castle, actually, in search of a general who would be able to deposit him somewhere in Destiny City, when sporadically, something floated overhead, and two accompanying beams whizzed by.
Rakovanite looked upward, tipping his head inquisitively at the... kitten. He didn't necessarily mind animals, but he did have a particular dislike for children, and it seemed the young of any species were prone to hyperactivity, eccentrics, and rudeness. His gaze traveled to the floating machine and then wandered almost disinterestedly along the path the lasers had taken.
Home was still his preference. It wasn't as if Rakovanite liked to be greeted in this manner. Particularly by something he didn't know.
...But he'd only ever met one Mauvian, and it had been an Order cat, at that. He supposed there was little harm in exploring what the chaos kitties were up to. "Very well," he acquiesced flatly, as he summoned his weapons: a handful of three Coca-Cola bottle caps. They were useless, embarrassing to even hold as far as Rakovanite believed.
Yet even a trash projectile thrown with his increased strength was not completely harmless.

"Great!" Chip declared from atop his flying saucer. "Need a proper trial before I start field testing!" He didn't explain what he meant, figuring it was pretty clear that he wanted to zap a lieutenant some before taking it out in the city to zap a knight instead. With a little more juice. He surveyed the Lieutenant's "weapons," and rated them about the equal of his laser cannons. "Try not to get hit!" he chirped, and pawed his controls to swing the saucer to the side, giving a nice little dive as he fired his lasers once more, accompanied by a gleeful, childish giggle.

As far as Rakovanite understood it, there would always be a disconnect between what he was capable of doing as a man, and what was possible from a machine, even a well-built one. With all the space of the castle's grandiose high ceilings overhead to maneuver in, there was certainly room for the saucer to function. But it did require just that: maneuvering, at the paws of a kitten.
It felt like it should be an easy task, given the still-limited space, to simply stay to the rear of the saucer, out of the kitten's line of vision, and as such, a harder target for any lasers to pinpoint on.
As the saucer dove, Rakovanite did too, keeping low and sliding forward toward the machine and beneath it to avoid the first array of blasts. He didn't know enough about the Mauvian and its devices yet to be an accurate judge of the level of danger or what skills it possessed, but it had shot at him, and he was not averse to returning the favor. Rakovanite's weapons were light, capable of little more than a sting on contact.
But it was what he had, so he reeled back to throw one cap at the dome of the saucer.

The little kitten on the saucer laughed happily. He got a feisty one! His shots missed their mark as the lieutenant slid deftly beneath him, and so he pivoted in place, the saucer rocking a bit unsteadily from the sudden hard spin...but it didn’t drop out of the air, at least. A bottle cap was slinging toward him as he recovered, and he ducked down...the saucer dipped with him, so it sailed over his head. “Oh, that’s a nice move!” He declared. “But not nice enough~” The saucer held still for a moment as he got a nice bead and fired! Pew! Pew!
