RP/Story: Firefly was never meant to be boring or dull. His family had been... sweet. Quaint, really. They weren't -bad- rabbits, they just, didn't quite understand the flame-colored buck. Born with the name Dandelion, just a white ball of fluff, this kit always wanted to stand out from the crowd. He'd make paw prints out of mud and berry juice on every surface he could find, teaching himself how to make paints and dyes from things he could find around the burrow. Alas, this was not the most appreciated talent in the family. His father was rather stern, if good-hearted, and was often on the then-Dandelion to be a more productive member of their little familial community.
So when he had left his home in search of like-minded rabbit, never in his wildest dreams did he think he would find a place like The Arbor. And yet, he had.
From the moment he stepped foot in the warren, his heart felt full. The colorful pelts and personalities were enough to make his dream-filled head spin. It took little time to find which group he gravitated towards. Here it seemed that rabbits were given a color designation to match their preferred interests. As a white bun adorned with the colors of a brush fire raging in the summer, Firefly had caught the attention of other so-called "Blues". He found himself able to chat with them for hours about dying techniques and color combinations. Oh, how his heart soared at the thought.
Now he stood before the council to plead his case. He looked around at the rabbits that would decide his future, whether or not he would be allowed to stay and join their flamboyant ranks, and in this moment he knew he never wanted anything more in his life.
"My fellow rabbits, esteemed council, on this most joyous of days I stand before you a humble but hopeful buck, looking for his place in this world. I have traveled far to find a place such as this; a refuge for the creative, a haven for the artistic, a sanctuary for the unique. As you can see from my own adorned pelt, I am a buck with a heart full of art. I want to spend the rest of my days creating with my fellow rabbits, filling the world with color and beauty. Please, it would mean the world to me if you would allow me to stay. To join the ranks of the Blues, and under the discerning eye of it's group leader, learn all there is to know about creating things that are greater than ourselves. Creating things that will last beyond this mortal coil..."
Firefly trailed off and awaited their answer breathlessly. This was his dream; his goal since he was old enough to have goals. He knew he could do this warren proud... he just hoped they would give him a chance. "My heart is true, my convictions strong, and my loyalties firm. Give me the chance to share in this wonderful place you have created, and I am sure together we can make this world all that much more beautiful."
