Quote: Day Five: The shadows were worth avoiding before, but now it's almost impossible. Sometimes when you walk through a shadow, you feel your heart beat so loudly in your head that it's all you can think about. You may step into one shadow and step out of another completely across town. Or, at least, it feels like it. There is no way of going back or predicting which shadow you will wind up coming out of, but the news is reporting a wave of fatigue, confusion and stress as having odd effects on its citizens. No one has any recollection of the travel between one shadow and the next, and all passing of time seems warped. Travel is instantaneous regardless of the distance through Destiny City.

He felt nauseous as he stumbled forward and down on all fours on the pavement right into the busiest part of downtown Destiny City. Crowds were the worst for him as the noise and rapid movement of hundreds of people made him paranoid and sick. The sound of cars, the smell of restaurants, cigarette smoke, disel and car exhaust left him feeling. Just because he was glamoured did not meant his youma-half was surpressed. The urge to throw up was strong, and he moved last people to find the closest wall to get some safety from a surface at his back and stability.
This wasn't where he wanted to be or wished to be. Just a few minutes ago he had been at the other side of the city near a very run-down area getting some silicone molding from an art shop. It had been broad daylight and decently warm. The sun was out despite the clouds and there was a cold breeze that helped against an overbearing sun. He had turned to head to a street market that seems some meats on sticks he had been enjoying lately and wanted to get some to go when he felt himself step forward into the alleyway and sink. The feeling was weightlessness as he lurched forward, expecting to land in the same alleyway but instead arrived surrounded by passing people in th nicer part of town.
It was evening now, and as he leaned against the wall, he felt a panic. Where had time fine? Had he blacked out?
His eyes scanned his body for signs of blood or damage as blacking out usually was not a good sign for him, but nothing was torn or bruised. Checking his pockets showed he hadn't accumulated more money meaning he hadn't jumped a home. He still felt just as hungry as he did during the last moments he remembered.
But time had past and yet his glamour had not fatigued out of him. Something was amiss and yet no one seemed alarmed he was here. A hand over his mouth, he breathed deep and slow as he slide down the wall and to the closer alleyway he could, pausing just before he fully entered. Herds of people passed him in warm, autumn clothes with shopping bags, purses, and backpacks all excited for the season. There was a smell if a local burger joint nearby and his stomach grumbled loudly. Checking his watch, he knew dinner was going to be over soon. Laven was going to kill him for not texting her to say he was going to miss it.
Taking out his burner phone, he sent her a message that he'd pick but good for them. It wasn't like he could tell her he was blacking out and loosing time. That was what psychopaths did and as much as he shared similarities, he hoped he hadn't lost his mind too much.
He really hoped.
Crossing through the thing of people and bracing himself against the sickening overwelming feeling of them closing in, he got into the burger joint and ordered - to go.
