The storm seemed to be moving further and further away, but the rain was pounding down. A little shrub near the fallen tree had a tiny tuft of hair. Had a kit gone this way? Looking outwards into the night its clear that the huge river that hems in the Dales is off in the distance.

Antheia reached the tall grass where there also resided some bushes. She looked around and shook her head as she was disappointed in not finding any sign of the missing kits. She was about to turn around to look on elsewhere when a flash of lightning light up the sky. With the bright flash it also illuminated the bushes where she spotted a tuft of fine fur! She gasped and exclaimed to herself "This looks like a young one crawled through here! Finally a lead!"She looked for any other signs but it was too muddy and the rain was too heavy to see too far ahead. She hunkered down and crawled her way in hoping to find at least one of the little ones. She hoped the rain would let up soon as well, that would help as well. WC:141 TWC: 916

Antheia came out from between the bush and found a second tuft of fur but no sign of the kit, she took note of the river in the distance. It made her nervous that the river was in view. Though it wasn't too close it was still close enough that a scared kit could easily get too close and fall in and get swept away with all the heavy rain. She continued her search around the nearby bushes but kept a watchful eye back towards the river for any movement she might be able to see through the downpour towards the river. WC: 102 TWC: 1018

Antheia was starting to worry more and more as her search was yielding no results past the little tufts of fur. Her gaze kept returning to the river in the distance.Should she head towards it and search near there for a kit? It would be terrible if one had fallen in or was too close. She was just making herself worry more. She took one more look around the bushes and turned to head down closer to the river. WC: 79 TWC: 1097

She was extremely anxious as she got closer to the river, the adrenaline had her senses on high alert for the slightest movement or noise that was different from the rain or rushing water from the river. She didnt want to get too close to the edge of the river herself just in case of falling in and being swept away herself but she wouldnt hesitate jumping in if she had to if it meant saving an innocent kit. She hoped one wouldnt of come this way, but she had to check. WC: 92 TWC: 1189

Eclipse was happy to note that the annoying thunder claps seemed to lesson and receed. But why on Earth did the rain have to get worse? He was definitly tired of being wet. Couldn't they just... maybe... find someplace that was dry? And, y'know, wait out the rain?
"Over here! Look. Is that fur?" Pippin called, tugging his dark friend along.
Eclipse groaned and hopped over to where his pale counterpart was pointing.
"Huh... guess it is?" He let his gaze travel along, ears falling a little. Wasn't... the river that way? The one he'd been looking at earlier? Contemplating if he'd cross and go to the land beyond?
Pippin gasped, seeming to come to the same conclusion. "Do you think the kits went that way?"
"Guess there's only one way to find out..." Eclipse started looking around for any other clues.

The bucks continued to search around the area they spotted the tuft of fur. There were tracks, but they weren't kit sized. Another rabbit out here looking maybe? Eclipse looked around, feeling his gloomy mood worsen as they failed to find anything.
"What if we find nothing?" He asked, trying very hard not to whine.
Pippin just looked back at the buck with a look of horror. Not find the kits?! Why, he couldn't even fathom that! No, no they would find them.
"That... is not an option." He said with a surprising amount of determination for the scared rabbit he'd just been. Of course, he was just trying to act like Pumpkin would. Or at least.. how he thought his best friend would act in this situation.
Eclipse didn't bother to answer, letting his ears fall even more as he grumbled and hopped around some more.

Antheia sighed in desperation as she looked around her. She searched the immediate area near the river not wanting to go too far from where she saw the tuft of fur caught on the bush just in case the kit or kits were still close by but she was fearing she may have to venture further along the river. As she looked back to the bushes she saw what looked like 2 blurry shadows through the down pour of rain. Have some others come to search? Maybe they have learned something else or seen something else? She debated on going towards them but she also didnt want to bother them, she was a little shy with strangers sometimes. She decided to look around where she was a little more before going back and seeing if the new rabbits on the seen could aid in the search. The rain continued to pour down, splashing noisily into the river. Suddenly another flash lit the night. There, some distance away from the edge of the river was a rock. The water rushed and eddied around it. On that rock sat a drenched, shivering kit ...

Antheia is welcome to share this information with other rabbits in the area, and if other rabbits are reasonably positioned they may also be able to see the kit.

Antheia shine her head as the lightning illuminated the area and sent a shiver down her spine as the rain continued to beat down. She lifted her head for the last millisecond of light left the sky and her heart dropped! There in the river shivering was a kit! Her eyes went wide and her heart started to pound in her chest. How did the little one get out there!! She couldn’t see any way for them to have crossed out. Maybe the little one fell and managed to swim and climb up the rock before the rains and wind started to make the river grow too wild. Regardless she knew she had to do something to help save the little one and bring it back to the bank...back to safety, but how?!

Antheia ran down the bank a little and tried to look for anything or anyway that she could to get to the kit in the river. She felt tears sting at her eyes only to be masked and washed away by the rain. She felt helpless to the little one stranded out there. She didn’t see them move much, she imagined they were exhausted. She strained her eyes hard and could see their tiny body shivering cold from the river and rain. She decided to try and yell out to them to let them know she was here and she would do whatever it took to get them back to their mom safe. Little one!! I’m here!! My name is Theia! I’ll save you, I promise! I’ll find a way to get you back. Your mom sent me, don’t worry little one we will figure this out!!”WC: 147 TWC: 1615

Antheia thought she saw the little kit move it’s head slightly to look at her in acknowledgment that it heard her and at least saw her there but she couldn’t be sure with the rain. She would try and stay positive! She took a deep breathe and traveled a little ways up the river looking for anything that could her, a long enough branch that could be secured well enough could make a make shift bridge maybe so she could get to the kit maybe....but what are the chances of finding something sturdy enough? She had to try and maybe a better solution would present itself. WC: 106 TWC: 1721

The river was moving at quite the clip, and at some point further up stream it must have picked up a sizeable branch. The current carried the branch right between the shore and the rock, where it firmly wedged itself. The sodden kit took one look at this new angle of escape and was across the branch in the blink of an eye.
She looked up at Antheia. "Have you seen my Mama?"

Redeemed Was she seeing things? Something was coming down the river?! It looked like a large branch. She held her breath as it turned in the water as it approached the stranded kit. She sucked in her breathe as it jammed itself between the rock and the river bank securely enough for the kit to make it across. Antheia ran to the end against the bank and embraced the trembling little one as she quickly made it across. That was extremely lucky, what were the odds?!” She shook her head and hugged the little one closer and walked her away from the river a safe distance before giving her some space and looked her over for any injuries but luckily she just seemed wet and cold. She gave a kind smile and hugged her close again as she spoke to her. ”Yes little one, you mom sent me looking for you. Let’s get you back to her now!”. She slowly and carefully led the little one back the way they came back to her mother. WC: 174 TWC: 1895
