RP/Story:

Pumpkin found herself sighing as she gazed about her once more, taking one of her daily walks with the kits. It was a good way to keep up with and see what the day held for them. Plus, she just enjoyed seeing all the creative pieces from the previous morning either finished or in a new state of completion. She also enjoyed teaching her kits about the items used in the creation of paints or what this or that bun was doing. But today? Today was special! The Arbor was in full festival swing, ready to accept new faces as permanent members.
Her heart belonged here. She'd decided that as soon as she'd brought her kits here to visit and experienced the joy of their first "painting class". While, not officially planned, she'd enjoyed it quite a bit. In fact, if she stayed here, Pumpkin felt she'd look in to establishing some sort of painting classes for kits! Or any other buns that wanted to learn! She'd love to help teach them and share her passion for the arts. Not to mention those crafty buns that could teach her a new thing or two.
"How would you feel if we made this our home?" She asked Freckles, who was trying oh so hard not to trip over her feet. She enjoyed their mornings just as much as mama!
The little kit gazed up at her mama with huge eyes. "This not home?" She tilted her head, confused. And Pumpkin felt her heart squeeze.
"We already here..." Foggy added, quiet as always beside Freckled Apple. "Why we make it home if already home? He tried to reason out.
Pumpkin searched for a way to explain to her albino son, but didn't get the chance before Nightshade was screeching something and she was forced to deal with him and-
"Nightshade!" She yelled. But was drowned out by his shriek.
"UNCA PIPPINNNNNN!" Night shade raced away from his mom, making a beeline straight for the pale buck that was their silly uncle.
Followed by a chorus of similar, "Uncleeeee!" and "Uncle Pip!"
Unprepared for the little rocket that shot at him, Pippin crashed down, suddenly swarmed by little bodies all fighting to get his attention and affection. He laughed, carefully twisting so he could get back to his feet, rubbing noses with each one of them.
"Ah, little ones, hello! Did you miss me? I missed you! It took me soooo looong to find you." Once the nose kisses were over, it was the hugs and then the head pats. Finally, he could hop over and greet his best friend. Who was so excited to see him.
"Oh, Pippin! You came! I was getting so worried that I'd have to come looking for you. But here you are, and the kits are so happy to see you." She babbled on, giving him a hug.
"Oh, I did get lost. But then I had some help. After the scary storm. Which I don't like storms, by the way. Anyways, I met this other buck, who was kind enough to travel with me and we finally found this warren and how have you been? It's so good to see you all so happy! It makes me just as happy and-" Pippin kept babbling at the kits, but Pumpkin had finally noticed the other buck.
"OH! I'm so terribly sorry for our rudeness. I'm Pumpkin. And these are my kits...." She did a quick headcount to make sure they were all visible.
Eclipse wasn't quite sure what he'd just got himself in to. The buck he'd met, Pippin, hadn't mentioned... such an enthusiastic family. Or such a lovely doe... who was talking to him. Oops.
"Uh.. hi. I'm Eclipse. Pumpkin you said?" He paused, making sure he'd gotten her name right. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He said a little awkwardly.
"Eclipse. It's very nice to meet you. And thank you for helping Pippin get here. You'll have to tell us how you two met! But that can wait until later. You've both been traveling and you deserve to check out the warren and rest up first." She was already dragging Eclipse towards the group. "Kits, this is Eclipse. He is our new friend. Let's show him and Uncle Pippin the Arbor warren?
And that was how the rest of the day was spent, showing the two bucks where they had been staying all this time, sharing what they enjoyed the most about the warren. By the time the sun began to set and it seemed that a nice party was ongoing, Pumpkin made her decision, dragging her entire family to seek out a certain male buck. Which turned in to a group of buns. The Elders.
With Freckles asleep on her shoulder, Nightshade caught under Pippin's arm and Silent Fog at her side, Pumpkin gave the Elder's - and Smudge - a sweet smile.
"Greetings, friends! Hello again, Smudge! I've had some time to think about things, and see how lovely this warren is. I've even experienced an impromptu painting class that was such a fun experience for me and my kits." She indicated the little bodes scattered around the three adult buns. "So, as I was saying, I've done some thinking. And I would like to formally request for my family," she glanced at Pippin and Eclipse too. "All of my family, to be considered for joining your warren? It's the perfect fit for us all! And I would so enjoy the chance to further my painting skills... and maybe even see about starting a class for kits to learn painting?" This was said with a little laugh.
Pippin switched Nightshade under his other arm. "I know I have not been here long, but Pumpkin is my dearest friend and only family I have. I would very much like to be where she and the kits are, if I may? I'm not very good at many things... but I do love kits!" He tugged Eclipse forward, who was trying hard to pretend he wasn't there. "And this is my first real friend beside Pumpkin. He also doesn't have a home to call his own and I think of him like a brother so if he could stick around with me and the others that would be wonderful! I could even teach him to... do something!"
Eclipse felt a bit of warmth go to his cheeks. "Uh... what he said?" He may have cast a lingering gaze at Pumpkin as well. But fat chance he was admitting the pretty doe may have been more of a reason for him to stay.
"So, if you could take our request in to consideration, we'd be so very grateful!" Pumpkin concluded.
