Hey guys! In terms of the contest/raffle and end time, I /may/ be moving a truck across the city at that time in order to stay with my brother for a few days till I move cross country. I will try and be online at closing time specifically, but may be a little late! So sorry for any troubles. Ooof. Changes to plans are rough!
The Great Mother has blessed Avalyn and Lalita with children! And the entire Flock is shocked by just how many came from the young mare.
[ Rules ]
01. The babies have to stay within the Flock. As females they can venture out and explore/breed outside of the territory, but they must remain members. The whole point of this breeding is to spread the Flock to those that want to join it. 02. If you are one of the others that have been gifted/told you would be getting a custom in of one of these two babies ( Be it by Mind or another colorist, you brave souls ) you cannot enter. We want to spread the love around, and would like to offer it to those that aren't getting a chance to get one of the custom-in kids. 03. All Soquili rules apply. 04. [ The Herd ]
The Flock - Be sure to read up on the Herd information, if you haven't already. Where it won't benefit you in the contest, it can be really insightful. - Because of how big their nest of children is going to be, Avalyn is likely to reach out to other Flock Sisters to help her care for the young children throughout their lives.
[ The Parents ]

Born with the wanderlust of her Great Grandsire's People, Avalyn soon found a job as a Resource Scout and Messenger. She flies out with great regularity to travel the Kawani lands, looking for open resources that the flock could send out teams to take advantage of, such as locations where fish spawn on the Beaches of the Kawani gulf, where Non-Spirit Touched Bison herds are traveling, where pyrite deposited can be found, as well as keeping in touch with the Oracle and tracking the movements of herds near where their ancestral lands are to insure their ancestral and spiritual home is not overtaken without the entirety of the flock there to protect it.
Because of this, her curiosity sometimes makes her bend rules or even get in trouble.
- Lalita is the exact picture of a man who... well.. Wrong word. Let's say a womanizer with a taste for a little bit of everything. He's generally a pretty laid back guy, enjoying, for the most part, the will to just relax and enjoy the company of those around him. He's a huge flirt; and so long as he knows they are able to be flirted with, he will. Girl or boy, Harpy or Skinwalker. He doesn't care. ( Though he hasn't gotten to flirt with a Skinwalker yet, he is certain that he will never get that chance ). The stallion is an image that many have seen to be alluring and wanting. And he generally gives them all that they could want. And he will give them everything they want. Lalita is a stallion who will please even the smallest of fillies if he needs to make them happy. He doesn't mind looking like a clown, after all. His job within the Flock is that of a Whistle Stallion; someone who gets called upon by the Sisters in order to please them; be it in the nest or out on a stroll. He's basically an escort of sorts, and he does a damn good job at it.
- They met when Avalyn came into her Adulthood. Being a Whistler, Lalita was called upon to assist in the ceremony. After a long night, and a few months, it showed that Avalyn was pregnant. Though before the children could even come, Avalyn was taken to the maternity ward to ease in the pain of what was happening. The foals were taken sooner, rather than later, and put in baskets to be cared for until they got bigger and Avalyn was stronger. Sacred Mothers gathered to Lalita, who was going about his normal routines, and called him back to discuss vaguely with him about some thing in private that left him confused but entertained.. He eventually asked questions, only to find out that Avalyn had had not two or three foals, but six. The young Whistler was startled, but only got more confused as the numbers being mentioned were never consistent as the Acolytes and Mothers started getting more and more cagey, and he caught the odd snippet from them.
Eventually, once the baskets officially started taking on the colors and patterns of the foals within, that he finally got the full story: Avalyn did carry six kids... But the spirits seemed to be playing tricks and kept making the baskets multiply.
The numbers where never given clearly to him, but it seems the spirits were deciding to give the newly adult Avalyn an insane amount of foals, and it's not really clear anymore which ones she actually gave birth to and which ones the spirits decided to make siblings for, and no one knew the trigger. Was it him? Was it Her? Was it the combination of the two? Was it something in one of their ancestry and genetics? The entire site of the sacred mothers and even the priestesses and Oracle were looking in on this, and experimenting with it..
Though he isn't one for close connections normally, he often visited Avalyn in the maternity ward to bring her gifts and see how she was doing. When he wasn't being called upon, of course, by the acolytes and sacred mothers. Carrying Six children while not being developed to do so was hard on her system, and she was proud, until she found the amount of offspring the spirits had deemed to give her ranged anywhere approximately between 23 and 40, give or take a dozen.
Then.. Then she was a bit nervous. Thankfully the flock is a massive support structure to help her raise her small army of foals, though her being overwhelmed at times and being drawn toward exploration made it so she started taking longer and longer flights as the children got older outside the flock, First only flying out when they were in school for a few hours to get away from the priestesses and sacred mothers, then for a few days at a time once set up with some family and nannies. Once they became adults, she quickly took to her role as a Long distance scout and messenger, glad to get away from the attention. She loves her children, and is an affectionate and dutiful mother, but it's admittedly weird going from being made an adult to the mother of a couple dozen or so children within a year.
