Prompt: You notice a black cat with what looks to be some kind of marking on its forehead, which in Destiny City is not an uncommon occurrence. It appears to be opening its mouth as though speaking, though no sounds come out. The cat entices you to follow it both by its silence and strange energy signature, and you don’t quite seem to be going anywhere in particular, but you feel compelled to see where this journey will end. As the small creature gets to a shadow filled area, it turns and gives a final audible meow before seeming to melt into the shadows. All searching yields no results the cat is simply not there…perhaps this wasn’t such a normal occurrence after all!
Late one night, Pasithee was patrolling, when she should be in bed. She had school the next day and a test. HITS tests were notoriously hard. She had been on her way home, when she saw it, a large black cat sitting about 100 yards in front of her. And it had a symbol on its forehead. A Guardian Cat. Not unusual for Destiny City. Probably bonded to a Court. But what an unusual symbol it was - A Skull. And it's energy signature, neither Order, nor Chaos, but something totally weirdly evil. It opened it's mouth as if to speak, but no sound came out. Then it turned and wandered off, pausing every few minutes, to turn back and look at her like "Are you coming?" She began to follow it, hungrily almost.
What she didn't realize was that there were now shadows under her eyes and she looked as though she was sleep walking with her eyes open. She cried in a tired monotone, "Wait, Cat, wait for me!"

Cats were way too common in Destiny City. Some powered, some not, but there were loads of them! Lots of stray kittens too. Brioche had taken it upon himself to make sure that they could be well cared for. One such 'kitten' was very strange. Like a mauvian but most certainly not. But it was alone and trying to meow but simply could not. Poor thing must have been hurt! Like the proper Papa-cat he was, Brioche followed it through every twist and turn he could, until he seemed to run into someone. "Oh, sorry sorry! Have you seen a kitten around here?"

Pasithee was astonished to see Brioche the Cat that had Awakened her and he did not recognize her. And he was asking about a kitten. "Brioche! It's been a long time! It's me Sailor Pasithee, you Awakened me about two or three years ago? Only I've grown into Super Sailor Pasithee now. But you were asking about a kitten? I've been following that very strange 'kitten' over there." She pointed. "It has a skull on it's forehead, and a very strange energy signature - neither Order or Chaos. Every time, I try to investigate - and try to see if it is hurt, it flees from me. Maybe you can do better."

"Oh... Oh, you've grown up so much! I can't believe it's been that long!" Brioche never did have that good of a memory. He'd blame his old age. "Was it that strange looking? I only saw a glimpse of the thing, and thought it was hurt. Perhaps it's not... We can't keep chasing something if it doesn't want to be caught, now can we?"

Pasithee started to nod as she watched it. It began to hobble away. It got about 10 feet and stopped. It turned and looked back at them with ghost white eyes, and flicked it's tail this way and that. "Okay those eyes are a little freaky, but Brioche, do you get the idea that it wants us to follow it?" Pasithee asked uncertainly, staring at the weird kitten.

"I think... Perhaps it does." It was certainly the first time Brioche had encountered such a kitten... And the skull made an uneasy feeling settle in his belly. "... Do you think it may be a ghost...? I've never seen such a thing on a Mauvian's forehead before... I'm afraid something awful may have happened to the dear thing, and perhaps it's leading us to a grave."

The kitten thing walked a little faster. Pasithee looked at Brioche, then gathered her speed. The kitten started to trot, so Pasithee went into a trot. Next thing they knew, they were in a high speed chase. But if Pasithee stopped, the kitten would stop and egg her on again. The kitten jumped to the side of a fountain, and Pasithee went after it. It jumped away at the last moment leaving Pasithee to plummet into the fountain and become soaking wet. Pastihee thought she might hear some amusing jazz music in the background - or at least it would be amusing if it weren't making fun of her right now...

Over and over again they chased after the kitten, but each time they came close, it slipped from their grasps. And Brioche wasn't the young, spry cat he once was. No, he was quite exhausted. "... Perhaps we should just let it go. I'm far too tired to keep running around like this. My old bones say 'no'." he groaned, flopping over on his side even though he could still see that kitten nearby.
