Event Prompts - Day One
Day One: During this time of year, the shadows are always growing longer and darker. Ordinarily, it's not something you think about, but for some reason there is something strange about the shadows this year. When walking through the shadows in Destiny City, it feels cold, or maybe even like the shadows briefly clutched at you. You may feel sluggish when passing through them, or you may feel drained or even unnecessarily anxious. It may be easy to brush off at first, but it's certainly unnerving.
It was colder now, the autumn was drawing in and it wouldn't be long before she'd be in several layers in the pursuit of keeping herself warm. Fortunately at the beginning of October the weather was usually more favourable and she only needed a sweater and one of her lighter coats. Or at least, this was how the red-head had felt at the beginning of the week...It seemed that over the course of the last few days something had changed and there was definitely more of a bite.
She hadn't thought anything of it at first, maybe one of those random and sudden cold snaps, until she had been out in the sunlight and noticed that in general it was still quite mild. Up until now she hadn't been able to put her finger on it but as she had walked home from university she had realised that something unsettling was creeping down her spine.
It reached out for her, clung to her, and it had made her very interested in getting home as quickly as she was physically able.
Unfortunately by the time she had returned home she had come to realise that much like the unusual activity that had happened several weeks ago at one of the festivals, this one didn't seem to make much sense either. Thus, she had little choice other than to force herself back out of the house to at least try and investigate further. By the time she had returned to the place where the 'worst' of the shivers had occurred she'd had more than enough time to power up into her fuku.
Now all that another individual might see was a purple jump suit and an odd visor.
Nothing amiss, right?
Except for the fact that as soon as she had gotten there the weird sensation had happened again and she had fled (for want of a better description) to sit on a bench directly underneath a park lamp. Somehow simply being in the light seemed to bring her a little bit of warmth even if it didn't make sense.
"Urgh," she'd already lowered her head in her hands to massage at her forehead. The weirdness would pass eventually but that didn't mean she was ever going to enjoy it.
