Prompt #3
You notice a black cat with what looks to be some kind of marking on its forehead, which in Destiny City is not an uncommon occurrence. It appears to be opening its mouth as though speaking, though no sounds come out. The cat entices you to follow it both by its silence and strange energy signature, and you don’t quite seem to be going anywhere in particular, but you feel compelled to see where this journey will end. As the small creature gets to a shadow filled area, it turns and gives a final audible meow before seeming to melt into the shadows. All searching yields no results the cat is simply not there…perhaps this wasn’t such a normal occurrence after all!

Patrols were now a very normal part of her rather 'extraordinary' life. What would have been unthinkable before was now something common and routine; where once upon a time she would have been snug at home, curled up with a magazine ad something stupid on tv...she was now outside wandering the streets and conducting herself in a manner that most would expect of a White Moon. This was her job though, according to what she'd be told when she'd woken up she had to make sure that the place stayed safe...otherwise, well, it wouldn't be nice.

This evening hadn't been too exciting though, the youma that she had been dueling and besting (for the most part) were few and far between. She hadn't even encountered a single Negaverse agent and to be perfectly honest she had a knack for locating them, in fact she tended to interrupt them for better or for worse. All things considered it felt weird, it felt off and she couldn't quite figure out why.

...Was it just her lot in life to expect some sort of hostile encounter now?

She lifted her hands to adjust her visor as she came to a halt at one of the corners of the street. Well if this evening was going to be a quiet night then maybe she could go urbexing again?

Her mind had begun to wander towards this possibility when something caught her attention, it was one of those little 'pings' she had begun to take note of when something was coming her way. However on this occasion it didn't quite feel the same as those disgruntled Negaverse agents or the White Moon.

"How curious..."

I deliberately left this open ended to imply this could either be Salad or the cat depending on whether or not she wants to be powered down for this one!

Whilst Sadalsuud could and did patrol, she knew that she wasn't nearly quite as active as some of the other members of the court.

There had been something of a 'spike' in activity, during which she had tried to find her friend Sinope, but as the days had turned into weeks and the weeks into months Sadalsuud had eventually slowly come to the conclusion that perhaps her red-haired friend had really just up and well gone–

Particularly as no one else appeared to have seen the red-haired senshi of slyness.

It was perhaps then then that her activity, such as it had been, had once again slid into practically nothingness as she buried herself more into her life as Mi-Hi, something that class assignments and her part-time job had made easy to do–

At least that was until tonight.

Tonight, she - or well make that Mi-Hi - had seen the small black cat as she made her way back home from her shift at work, feet tired from the back and forth at the store. A store that had been busier than normal.

The cat had been unexpected, cutting across the corner of her vision, the black fur making her think of her friend Miss Kitten - particularly as she had thought that she had caught sight of a marking before the cat had turned down a corner and into the alleyways.

And so for the first time in a while she had powered up, before doubling-back to where she had last seen the cat.

Because it would be nice if the cat was indeed Miss Kitten, it a long time since she had seen the cute little black kitten that had been instrumental in helping her to become Sadalsuud in the first place.

In fact so intent was she in trying to catch up to the cat that Sadalsuud almost missed the other aura, but she tensed slightly as she felt the telltale aura of an Order senshi, her footsteps slowly as green eyes warily scanned her surroundings.

Her previous encounters with Order had not been positive and whilst the aura wasn't as strong of that of her own aura, Sadalsuud wasn't sure that she really wanted to cross paths with the source.

I am so sorry that it's taken me so long to tag this - some things unexpectedly came up, but I promise that I will be much better with tagbacks

She'd made the decision to trail after the unusual signature after a mere few moments of consideration, and it had been with pursed lips that she strode down several alleyways without due consideration for whatever might have been around her. It was for this reason that the Senshi had missed Sadalsuud's signature, something that would have been an unforgivable mistake in the face of those who might be more violent and opportunistic.

Step by step she drew nearer the more peculiar of the two, never once 'spotting' it until she had rounded the last corner and then...

There were two things within her immediate line of sight within those moments, to her right the strange cat that seemed to be emitting the signature she had been tracking, and to her left there was a senshi. Now she seemed to possess a fair bit more strength than Adorea did but whether or not she was a danger remained to be seen.

She glanced between the pair, her initial assumption that the cat was Saladsuud's until it gave a strange rasp and then seemingly disappeared. Wait, since when could the Mauvians do that? She'd yet to meet any Mauvian who hadn't approached as an ordinary feline would. Either the cats were holding out on her or there was something else going on.

A hallucination maybe?

A trap?

"Huh," she seemed perturbed as she spoke to no one in particular, though Saladsuud was within proximity to hear her. "I didn't think they could do that," she mused and shook her head, carefully stepping towards where it had been to inspect whatever might remain.

"Did you do that?" she added as she peered back towards the senshi. Suffice to say that Adorea wasn't the most intimidating of individuals, she wasn't the tallest or the most built and her demeanour was more enthusiastic and agreeable than well...unpleasant. Nevertheless, Saladsuud would have to make up her own mind in regards to how she chose to deal with this red head.

Sadalsuud had been so caught up in trying to track down the little black cat that she hadn't realised how close the Order aura had gotten, instead focused on tracking the steps that she had taken earlier as Mi-Hi backwards until she had reached the alleyway where she had last seen the cat.

A part of her had half expected the cat to have perhaps moved on and so it was somewhat surprising to see the small cat still there, almost as if waiting for her.

Now that she was closer it was clear that the cat was not Miss Kitten, although it didn't stop Sadalsuud from moving closer, her shoes tapping gently on the ground before she crouched and slowly started to extend her hand towards the cat - a cat that was.. Was suddenly shifting into motion, cute little mouth open in a soundless miaow - well at least Sadalsuud was assuming that it was a miaow–

And so what was she to do but to try and do her best to follow? The cat leading her quite a chase through the alleyway, every now and then glancing backwards almost as if checking to see if she was still following - at least up until the point where it had given a very much audible miaow and had suddenly disappeared...

And on the heels of that, almost as if the two had been interconnected, a voice had chosen that moment to speak up.

Sadalsuud turned, her green eyes startled as she belatedly registered the Order aura, the Order aura of the Order senshi that she hadn't even noticed arriving.

"Uh?" It wasn't really a response, not as such, a sound of confusion more than anything else."

Very eloquent, Adorea could appreciate a woman after her own heart. When confronted with something that she couldn't really formulate an answer to the red-head tended to default to much the same reply. It spoke volumes, accurately conveying a denial while also indicating that in the grand scheme of things... She probably didn't know much of anything.

...Either that or she was surprised.

"I am going to take that as a no," Adorea confirmed, stretching her leg out and giving the spot the cat had been on a gentle tap with her boot. It was a conservative one, more of a poke with a tiny toe, just to see if anything had been left. Unsurprisingly whatever the feline was it had left no traces of itself that she could see which was typically how these encounters had gone the last time too.

"That's the third time I've seen one of these things," she admitted, turning towards Saladsuud and offering a warm smile. Adorea could detect her signature, but given Saladsuud didn't look quite like a corrupted it seemed the senshi had taken the decision to respond more positively. Admittedly, Adorea was inclined to speak to everyone warmly until they gave her reason not to...even if they did have considerably different goals in mind.

After all, hadn't Brioche said that some were nice?

...Hadn't Etamin said that some hadn't asked to be as they were?

And even Arthur had warned her that there were those who had been found by chaos first and they had never stood a chance.

"On the plus side this one didn't bring me to any shadow dogs or a hungry Youma," she added and glanced over her shoulders, albeit briefly, to reassure herself that the shadows were behaving for now. After she was sure that they remained as they were, she turned her attention back to the other senshi. It was at that point that she narrowed her eyes into a slight squint behind her visor and tilted her head to the side.

"Unless you're on the cat's side...?"

It seemed wholly unlikely given Saladsuud's own reaction, but it never hurt to ask, right?

"Uh yes, I mean um no it's the first time that I've seen that cat" Sadalsuud said at last, green eyes watching warily as the other senshi prodded at the spot where the 'not Miss Kitten' cat had been only a few moments ago with a boot clad foot "And I'm not on its side."

She hesitated for a moment, before adding quietly "I thought that it was someone else."

It was perhaps the most conversation that she had ever had with an Order senshi, although it helped somewhat that the other senshi wasn't screaming at her or trying to attack her–

In fact she was, was actually smiling at her...

Sadalsuud blinked, because yes that was most definitely a smile.

She gave a small smile back, the smile a little nervous, the other senshi's smile prompting her to stay in place before hesitantly asking "You're not going to start screaming at me are you? Or attack me because I'm Court?"

Both questions were serious questions, Sadalsuud fully prepared to make a dash for the nearest mirror should the Order senshi turn out to match up to her previous encounters with order - because she wasn't a fighter and she had never pretended to be one.

"Court...?" Adorea seemed puzzled and in those moments it may have been obvious that she was quite new to all this. She'd had a very brief rundown of various factions, but some had been otherwise sparse on the details. She may have known about the corrupted but when it came to the Dark Mirror Court, well, that was something she was largely oblivious to.

"There's another one?" she tilted her head to the side and regarded Sadalsuud with renewed curiosity for a few moments. "Well that explains why you feel different," she admitted, finally acknowledging that Sadalsuud had given off a signature that would have provided a warning to who and what she was.

"Screaming isn't really my thing though," Adorea admitted and placed her hands on her hips. She glanced periodically towards the shadows, aware that the last time she'd seen the cat it had brought friends, but for now both she and her current company seemed safe. "I don't want to sound like a hundred year old smoker and that seems like a pretty good way of getting to that point..."

She paused, silent for a very brief moment and then popped her lips.

"You seem ok," she said finally; with only the capacity to heal and a battle style that lacked an incredible amount of finesse it was safe to say that Adorea would be better at a pillow fight than warfare and she'd had her fill for now. "Unless you're not? But I had kind of figured if you were going to do anything you'd have probably done it by now," she admitted.

Some day this senshi was going to get herself killed with that mindset; for now though, she'd take Brioche's advice!

"...Is this someone I can help find or ah..." She shook her head. "I mean I'm not great at it but maybe they'll ping for me like the cat did?"

She wasn't about to admit she hadn't even sensed Sadalsuud until it was much too late even if, unbeknownst to her, the feeling had been mutual!
