Soft Shadow made her way through the forest, she was a bit nervous as twilight filtered through the leaves making the forest look almost magical and a little spooky. She knew that nighttime would soon arrive and the forest could become a dangerous place. She was not the bravest of wolves, nor did she think she was the strongest. So she tended to keep to herself most of the time. She knew it would be best if she sought out a pack that way she could be of some help and have the safety of a pack to stand behind her and be her strength. The problem was that she wasn't sure where to seek out such a pack, what if she made a mistake and ended up in a cruel harsh pack? She sighed out gently. Thinking on the problem wondering if she would ever figure out an answer to the riddle. She did her best to make as little noise as she could since she didn't want to reveal her location to others in the forest. The last thing she needed was to be attacked while she made her way through the woods. Her ears twitched as she listened to her surroundings.

Dream found this to be his favorite time, the moment day and night mix to leave an eerie beauty in their wake. Soon enough, stars would appear in the vast expanse of space above as crickets chirped beneath in the lush forest around him. These moments were special. A tranquil spot within that could lead the dark-furred male to calm collected thought. That, as well as daydreams and bouts of imagination-
Ears flicking back he glances around, not so much alerted by anyone. He feels compelled to shift out into the moonlight that’s begun giving its ethereal glow, gaze shifting though he moves in a calm manner. The night is filled with many small noises after all. It’s probably just a critter seeking shelter for the night.

As darkness fell Soft Shadow looked over her shoulder and saw a dark shape, she was unsure what to do her pale fur did nothing to help her hide in the forest. She stood very still a bit afraid that the figure was another wolf and for all, she knew they were violent and cruel. Soft did not consider herself a brave soul, not something that was beneficial to a wolf. She could not change who she was thou and she didn't have the desire to try, she was a gentle soul and that was all there was too it.
She would just have to wait and see what would happen or she would have to hope she was fast enough to get away from the figure. Then again perhaps she was being foolish and the other wolf would be just as kind as her and everything would be fine but could she take that risk?

Although Dream has a well blended coat for the night, the purple hues in some places ruined his natural camouflage. Ordinarily it wouldn’t be an issue but right now...whatever was there with the male may be able to see him. The thought didn’t cause fear so to speak, just a healthy level of wariness. The sounds were small. When his gaze finally falls on another figure though it’s quite clear, that definitely is not a small critter seeking shelter.
When had another wolf gotten so close? Why was it standing stock-still...unless- “Hello?” The question came out in a low soft rumble. After a moment he padded a few steps closer, then stopped and waited. “Why are you here so late?” The irony of his question only hits him after he’d asked it. She could ask him the same thing. It almost makes the male laugh at himself, almost.

Soft Shadow heard the hello and she stopped and blinked and blinked looking at the other wolf "Umm well I." She started to say "I don't really know what to tell you, I don't have a den nearby and I don't want to stop in the middle of the forest to lay down for the night." She said softly. She didn't feel the need to question him or consider it unfair that he was stronger than she was. Soft was more the omega type than an alpha type. She would gladly take care of pups for a pack or learn the ways of the healers if she ever got the chance. Being a fighter was not in any of the plans she had for the future.

With a tilt of his head Dream seemed to mull over her reply. He couldn’t blame the female for not wishing to stop, especially without the protection of an alcove or cave of sorts. Trying to be as friendly in appearance as possible he takes a seat, body language giving off a relaxed aura. “Ah, I see. I go for night walks occasionally and there are just small nests and dens around here. Lots of hares especially.” If this stranger found the small critters to be tasty he at least gave a tip off for a meal or two. Otherwise though it really wasn’t helpful. “I assure you I mean no harm. I prefer being beneath moonlight and stars...I am called Dream.”
At this point he can’t think of anything further to say. Rather than be a bore the male stood and padded over slowly instead, snuffling around her curiously before stopping to look at her once more. The best way to describe Dream would be a loner, so his line of personal boundaries weren’t as...good as most. It made sense, in his mind, to inspect this newcomer.

Soft Shadow sighed out when it seemed like the wolf was no longer scolding her which was a great relief to her. "Thank you for the information. I am Soft Shadow." She said her tone just as soft as her name. She blinked as Dream got closer to her, but she didn't complain about the sudden attention. She waited to see if he would make another comment.

With a flick of his tail the dark furred male tilts his head. “Soft Shadow, a lovely name.” The comment could almost be more to himself than the present company but it comes off pleasant in tone regardless. “Well, I hope you reach your destination safely. I’ll be headed for mine very soon...maybe we’ll see one another again.” With that he nods his head then simply pads away at a leisurely pace, gaze occasionally raising skyward as if taking guidance from the stars themselves.
