Soul Eater grunted as he left the territory of the Pale Raven, mingling on his own. It had been a rather eventful couple days with his new lady friend, but it was time for the skull male to move on. Surely he could so see the pale beauty at another date. He would have to see later.

The pitch black male slowed his gait as he entered a familiar territory. Another’s scent was nearby. A familiar one. Who was that?

His head tilted as he continued to investigate. Surely he could place that smell somewhere, right? He inhaled quickly before it hit him. “Midnight Star?” Soul called out. “I know you are near.

A lazy smirk appeared on the dark male’s maw as he eyed his sister. “Ah, and there you are. Long time no see little Sister.” Was she the little sister as in younger? Soul was larger than her, but age never really factored into anything for him. Seconds to minutes, was there truly a difference?

“You blend in too well with the shadows.” A gift, or maybe a curse, for the solid body colors they both shared.

“Not scolding.” He said, sitting on the rough ground, his tail curling around his paws. His front feet lifted to motion a shrugging gesture. “Just didn’t expect to find you here.” His head tilted, looking over his sister. No mars, no scars. Life had treated her kindly it seemed. Unlike his. He had missing patches of fur, scratches here and there. And his skull cap he wore seemed to have been banged up a bit.

“Life.” Soul Eater said blatantly.

“Seems like yours has been easier. Have you just been staying in this area?” His eyes scanned their current area. He had been here in passing once or twice, but never stayed. Maybe that was why he was so worn. He had miles under his paw pads. (Getting into scuffles in pack territories probably didn’t help much, but…the reward was sometimes worth the pain).

“But these are just minor. They’ll heal, they’ll scar and then I’ll be able to get into more trouble.” He flashed a lopsided grin. “Though you don’t need to be getting into the same trouble so.” His eyes narrowed when he glanced at his sister. If someone were to touch a piece of fur on her head, he’d likely go after the culprit.

Soul Eater glanced at Midnight Star at her comment about the she-wolves thinking scars were great. He gave her a knowing look. Oh, he knew. He snorted, chuckling to himself. He let his actions speak about that. He did not need to elaborate.

“Oh, pack joining eh?” His ears perked forward. “Have you found any?” Soul wasn’t sure if a pack would be a good idea for him. He had a sense of wandering about him. He needed to always be on the move. Staying in one place…where was the fun in that?

“Good.” He retorted back to her. “Who knows if your big brother will be here or nearby to help you if you found trouble.”

“mmm Maybe. But I’d prefer just not knowing if you got into trouble. Let your brother have his peace of mind knowing his only sibling is safe.” Soul said with a nod before rising to his feet.

“Well, let me let you get back to do whatever it is you were. Midnight, until we see each other again. Remember. Stay out of trouble.” Soul gave a knowing look to his sister before flashing a small grin. He turned on his haunches and left, leaving his darker twin to fend for herself in the rogue world.
