Name: Mosatha (M’tha) Age: 20 turns Gender: Female Former craft: carpenter apprentice Origin: Fort Weyr Rank: Weyrling
Appearance: She is a short, compact woman who wastes little motion. Her skin is a light brown. Her hair is straight, mid-length down her back and dark brown. Mosatha has small hazel eyes that notice fine wood grain details. She is quite muscular for her short stature, but a narrow build, that comes from moving heavy wood pieces.
Personality: Everything has its place in the world and Mosatha knows where hers is. She is very secure in her position in life and where she’s heading. Because of this, she is quite gregarious. Everyone is met with a smile and she never turns anyone away. Any task is always made easier with someone else. Mosatha is sadly a dowdy woman. When one is frequently covered in wood chip savings, why wear fancy clothes?
She doesn’t have a selfish bone in her body. Mosatha will happily give you the clothes off her back if you really need a shirt. What she really prefers though is to find something you really need, particularly if she can craft if of wood, and give you that. Some may say that she is too giving, but it really gives her satisfaction to provide something useful. Like a storage or clothes trunk. She likes to take a practical view for her gifts.
Even though Mosatha loves to give things away, she’s super self-deprecated about her own work. It can always be better and if someone praises it, she’ll surely be able to find some flaw with the piece. When doing her carpentry, she has endless patience. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to carve a tiny sliver of a piece off until it takes the perfect shape. She never rushes. Mosatha however when it comes to other things can be a quitter. She just doesn’t understand it the way she does carving.
History: Mosatha is the first child of Mosoratie and Thamabell. They are vintner and farmer respectively. She has five younger siblings, all boys. She quickly learned how to ride herd on the pack to keep them in line. It worked most of the time. With five brothers, Mosatha didn’t have much chance to become girlish. She can rough and tumble with the best of them.
She and her siblings ran with their cousins as they grew up in the small hold. When it came time for her to pick a craft, she leaned toward one particular uncle who knew carpentry. She knew her parents had hoped she might choose one of theirs, but she knew it didn’t feel right. Mosatha quickly settled into her role of apprentice carpenter. She enjoyed making things with her hands, and filling the needs of those around her.
That was until a certain dragon came down and signaled her out when she was 16. At first she couldn’t believe it, and after much encouraging from her parents and brothers she agreed to go. Just after she was searched though, disease ran rampant among the dragons. She cried as they died. It was almost too much to bare. Mosatha almost quit there.
She wrote home telling her parents, but they encouraged her to stay. Plus there would be plenty of work for a carpenter in such a big weyr. She still cried as the dragons continued to die, but she stayed and stood. It was hardest though when the last gold also lost the fight. What hope was there now? But Fort Weyr hatched a bold plan. Breed the greens.
At first she was unsure it would work, but the first couple of greens to rise on their maiden flights both laid clutches. She wrote home, telling her brothers about the experience even though she hadn’t Impressed. Their return letters expressed hope that eventually she’d find her dragon, or it would find her, and that maybe someday they could also get the chance to stand.
More greens eventually rose, and the weyr waited for the clutches. Learning of gold that had come from Southern surprised her as much as it did everyone else. There was risk here. The gold’s hatchlings wouldn’t have any protection from the disease that she’d seen claim so many before. In the end, she did decide to go.
It was lucky that she had. For one particularly insecure green had needed her love. Love that Mosatha gave freely.
Other: Brothers are adoptable!
Dragon Name: Glafateth Age: Hatchling Colour: Green Size: 5'4''
Appearance: a green with distinct markings around her eyes, and stripes on all four legs
Personality: Glafateth often feels lonely. She believes others might not understand her. This green can often be found staring off into the distance, at the sunset, breezing blowing through leaves, or a bird flying past. She can be quite needy and thus clingy. This can scare the potential friend away which makes her feel even more lonely. Because of this, Glafateth feels insecure. She is very anxious and lacks self-confidence that others would want to associate with her.
One thing this green prides herself on is knowing fashion. Her rider will always have the top rider gear she can afford and she will look Fabulous! Glafateth has no problem talking fashion any time of the day. This green will also enjoy accessories for herself too. When one looks good, one can carry one’s head high. She isn’t shy about telling someone when their fashion sense needs some tweaking.
Glafateth can become quite hurt if someone declines her fashion advice or even insults it. She will give them a very hurtful look then go off to sit by herself and pout for a time. Once she gets over her hurt feelings, she will become indomitable that she can fix their fashion. This green won’t rest until everyone dresses the best they possibly can. She will feel regretful that she let their horrible fashion go on longer while she had her pout.

Approved!
I would say that usually children have a combination of their parent's names, sometimes with extra bits added in, especially as more children turn up and they start running out of options. I'd recommend changing Nuray and Cheim to something you could get Mosatha out of.
