Valkyries are one of the strongest species to roam Istrea, second to them are the Dullahans. The reason these two species are the strongest is due to their connection to serving their respective Gods. Valkyries use the highest form of Holy Magic, compared to Dullahans using the highest form of Black Magic. Each has a deep respect for the other and neither will engage in combat for any reason.
As users of the highest form of Holy Magic, they have all of the traits of Holy Magic with no side-effects and immortality bestowed upon them by the God they are most loyal to. Their powers will remain so long as they are loyal to their god, and if they are disloyal their powers are stripped and they become human. They also lack the extra set of wings normal Angels possess, as it was their sacrifice for stronger magic. They are the highest of the Angelic Race, the peace-keepers and protectors of the realm, and do not tolerate the behaviour of angels acting as proud and rude as the Demons. Valkyrie-specific powers can, but are not limited to,
Near-Godlike strength, Enhanced Bodily Function, Enhanced Senses, Flight (via wings), Empathy, Kiss of Life (this only works if the person has recently died), Kiss of Death, and Probability Manipulation. It is important to know that no Valkyrie is chosen for the God of Death, as this is the God that the Dullahans follow.
