Wolframite had only seen Cavansite once during the Negaverse tournament but otherwise had not crossed paths with the officer. Since then, he was growing progressively concerned about his friend. He wasn't here to cause trouble, but he was still obligated as a friend and as a servant to the Queen, to at least see if he could help Mali in some way better get through his time as a agent.
It also happened he needed to find a general to help him corrupt a civilian, which gave him reason to knock on the office of said General.
The captain knocked once more and waited patiently to be addressed to come inside.

It seemed as though she were once again living in her office. It wasn’t ideal, but she was trying to work harder at everything…and things were still…not really patched up at home.
But still.
Her couch here wasn’t so uncomfortable. It was easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of life here, and the constant hum of chaos was oddly comforting. Cavansite was rubbing at her eyes, trying to get past the burning in them and the blurring of the papers that rested on her desk.
It wouldn’t do anyone any good if she got sloppy because she was tired. The knock startled her and the aura of a lower level officer made her pause, and then smile slightly, hoping that perhaps it was one of hers coming to show off a little. For a moment, she almost got excited, thinking it was Amesite but…
That was impossible.
“Come.” Came the cool voice of the General, her fingers combing through her hair, hoping that it didn’t look too unruly.

Wolframite entered, stepping into the office and gently closing the door behind him.
"Ma'am." He said respectfully. "I'm captain Wolframite I hope I'm not bothering you." He said, stepping further in and closer to her desk. Since last he had seen her, the woman looked rougher. Dark circled were visible in the light of the office and it looked as if she probably had a bad night (or month) of sleep.
"I..hope you are doing well today. Is it alright if I talk to you a moment about a few things. My general is not available right now."

Cavansite nodded to him, taking in his appearance with mild curiosity. “You are always welcome, Captain Wolframite, please have a seat.” She gestured to the plush chairs in front of her desk and gave a smile, which held just a shadow of pain. Though she knew it wasn’t her former charge…she still had that flicker of hope when she felt a Captain at her door.
“What’s going on? Is there something that you need pressing help with right now, or is it not so serious? Either way, you are always welcome and most of the time I’m here in my office so please stop by. It gets lonely here, I won’t lie.” She managed another thin smile.
“Unburden yourself to me, Captain. If your General is not around I am happy to help pick up the slack. I know that this time of year is pretty bad for people being absent. What with the end of summer and all of that.” Cavansite made a vague gesture with her hand and shrugged. She had gone back to teaching a few weeks ago and forgot how much she had grown to hate her profession. Though perhaps if she moved from Crystal Academy to another venue it might be better but…
…Teenagers were teenagers.

He moved over, reaching behind him to grab his tail and sit down, setting his tail beside him to bend in a more comfortable position. Sadly even the most plush chair still wasn't fully comfortable with the extra appendage at his backside. Still, it was nice. Nicer than most of the office chairs he had to sit in.
"Not an emergency, though I have one matter that needs a general's help. Another is something you are directly tied to though I'll get to that in a minute."
He did pause in his own business to offer her a soft smile. "if you are ever lonely, I'm almost always here if you need assistance or just to talk. That is one perk of living here after all. Your local half-youma are almost always around." They had no other option after all.
"I have a civilian that wants to join our ranks but my general is busy and I cannot reach him at this time. I was hoping I could find someone to help but I don't know many. I remember you from the tournament and know you are the superior for Mali and Nubi. I hope it isn't pushy if I came here to ask for help in a corruption but I want this to be done soon before any white moon members change their mind with their brainwashing."
"I know we haven't really talked much at all but - I thought of you when it came to this matter. You don't have to worry a out his training. I plan to take him under my wing personally."

Cavansite made a mental note to find new chairs to put in here…or perhaps to augment one of her current ones to better suit half youma. She hadn’t thought of what to do with any extra pieces, but watching Wolframite trying to wrangle his tail into a more comfortable position made her thoughtful.
She returned his smile and nodded. “That sounds wonderful, Captain. I may take you up on that at some point.” He could be useful in her research for courts, though she might have to tread carefully.
Listening to the request, Cavansite nodded. “I still do like to have a hand in my recruits training, so don’t worry about that, but I would be more than happy to appoint you as his captain. I don’t mind helping bring fresh faces into our home at all.” Quietly, the General scribbled down a quick note on one of her papers and looked back at the half youma. “Just send me a message when you’re ready for me to bring him in, and I will come. We won’t let the sirens in the White Moon work their magic on him. Never fear. Now, what is it that I’m tied to? What is going on?”

"Please do. I'm just as of in need of a talk once in a while. There isn't many people willing to spend some time here while not rushing to get home or on their patrol early."
"Thank you for the help. It's appreciated. I don't often have the chance to recruit anyone to our ranks and I'm rather excited at the prospect " of course, he left out he had made a deal with the civilian that pushed him to corrupt but that wasn't necessary information.
"Right. I wanted to speak to you about Mali. I'm concerned for him and feel that maybe his opinions Bei g openly voiced about the Negaverse night land him in some trouble. Has he talked to you about this?"

The concern wasn’t something that Cavansite was prepared for and she frowned suddenly. “Mali? No, he doesn’t talk to me often. He…kind of resents me for some reason and I don’t quite understand but…I don’t want to push either.”
She hesitated and looked at the Captain. “What do you mean by openly voiced about the Negaverse? What has he been saying?” Her mind began churning, wondering if she should have tried harder to spend time with both of the twins instead of just favoring ‘Nubi, but she didn’t want to be that type of overbearing General but…
If there was something that she could have been doing better… “What has he been doing?”

"I want to preface this by saying I do not feel Mali is a threat to others or thinks what he is saying could be wrong. However, I grew up in the older times of the Negaverse when things were more strict. I worry about potential harm to him as his friend."
Wolframite took a deep breath. He had told Mali he wouldn't rat him out as a traitor, but he could being up concerns to help Mali have a easier life here. He didn't want to loose him.
"He seems upset he corrupted. That senshi are not valued. He doesn't like the Negaverse and seems to harbor some resentment. I have tried to being him around, but as I am a half-youma sworn to the Queen, I come off as biased. I was hoping he could make more friends and feel like this is more a home and family, but that hasn't happened. I want to see if there was a way to help him. He talks too freely about it and well.... It comes off as very much against our cause."
"I told him I wouldn't report him, so instead I'm coming to you to see if we can help him."

So she was at fault for this. She should have taken a more active role in Mali’s training and growth in the Negaverse and for a moment, Cavansite felt almost faint, upset by her own misjudgment. “No, I won’t take that as you reporting him. I suppose. I didn’t have enough of a hand with him, and I should have. Things have been a little rocky with me lately, but that’s no excuse. He is my responsibility.”
Cavansite ran her hand through her now shoulder length hair and finally rubbed at her eyes. “We can help him. I’m glad that he has you as a friend. It’ll be good for him. I saved the siblings from some back alley scum and was in a recruiting mindset at the time. It seemed more than fair that they repay me by serving our cause under me…I suppose I might have began that mindset, though I think that senshi are very valued, and I thought I said as much but. He didn’t like the ah. ‘Lack of a choice’ that I he thinks I gave him. Has he spoke of defecting? Because that…will need to be stopped quickly.”
She wouldn’t have one of her own running into the sickly sweet arms of the White Moon. Not without her fighting tooth and nail for them.

He shook his head.
"No. If he had, then I really would have had to make a report to you. I think having Nubi here is a good anchor for him, but I do not know how long that will last if he doesn't have his own purpose. I have tried training with him and talking to him, but I'm terrible at figuring people out. It's something I'm working on, but I know that the more I argue with him, the more is greatest a divide between us. Soon I think he won't even listen to me. I don't want that to happen. I want to save him."
He breathed out, a heavy sigh.
"Do you think there is anything we can do? I don't want him to know I came here to tell you this. He'd hate me forever. "

Cavansite nodded. “No, I won’t let him know you came to talk to me, don’t worry about that, Wolframite. I wouldn’t betray you like that, but I am overdue for a visit with him, and I do need to get past his cranky shell. I am very close with his sister, and it’s about time that I give him my attention too. Leave this with me. I will do my best to see that he realizes his value. And if I think he needs a little extra help…well.”
She shrugged. “Then I will see that he is given the extra help. There is nothing wrong with needing that push. Or even needing the assistance of one of the tools that we have in our arsenal. No, you were right to come and talk to me. I will do whatever I can to see that Mali doesn’t go down a path that we won’t want him on.”
Finally, she smiled again, enjoying this Captain. “He has a good friend in you.”

Tools.
He wondered.
But as if now, he felt relieved that he had reached out for help and that he could get Mali some more help to be happier here. Rising, he offered a smile to the officer. "Thank you. He is lucky to have a general who cares about his happiness. I feel better coming to you about this. I hope that, together, he can make him feel as if this place is home."
He bowed to his superior.
"And if there should be anything I can ever help you with, feel free to ask. I am at the ready for any member of the Negaverse who has need if me whatever they may be." And his golden eyes narrowed upon her as he looked up from his now. "Anything."
He held the gaze for just a moment before rising up.
"I won't keep you any longer if you are busy with paperwork."

Cavansite nodded at him and scribbled down a small note to speak with Mali as soon as she could. “I appreciate your concern for him too, Captain. You seem like a wonderful member of the Negaverse. I’m please to have gotten the chance to meet you. Though, as for the paperwork. I seem to be always busy with it nowadays.”
She gave another wry smile and sighed, rubbing at her eyes. “I’ll keep you in mind if I ever need anything. I’m trying to plan something, though I don’t know if you’d be interested, we’ll see if I can ever actually get my ideas to paper.” Finally though, the General rose from her seat and held a hand out to Wolframite. “It has been a pleasure to meet you. Just call me when you’re ready for me to bring this new one into the fold, and I will go and see Mali soon.”
She would do that soon. She wouldn’t have one of her own punished for something as stupid as this.
