So how did she use this phone?

Adorea had spent the better part of an hour examining what should have been one of the easiest devices to use. Her senshi phone had been given to her by Arthur and he had indicated that she could use it to contact others and receive potential messages. She'd seen it in action once, that being when Arthur had sent out an alert during the festival but in hindsight she wished she'd focused more on how he'd done it.

The red head wasn't normally a technophobe but she appeared to be having a mental block as she tapped through the various buttons on her phone in an attempt to get something to work the way she wanted it to. Sure, she could get the normal stuff on it to work but how did she get the rest of it to do that?

Her brow remained furrowed as she continued to sift through the variety of buttons until, by the process of elimination, she found the right one. Not that she would notice it at this precise moment in time, she had been looking for something akin to a notice board or messaging service...you know that one Arthur had used, but hadn't taken stock of exactly which action did what.

...As such, someone was about to receive a every odd message requesting help in the vaguest of senses, with only a very slight indication of where they were. There were no descriptions as to what the problem was, she had been that person who had sent the shortest message with the most useless intel in it.

But hey, someone might show up right?

With no signs of danger anywhere the senshi was hardly at risk but based on her previous track record she wouldn't be counting her chickens before they hatched.

Even now, Brioche wandered aimlessly around the city... Four years he had searched for his bonded. The one he was supposed to meet, the one he was supposed to protect. Time and time again he caught that sweet scent, only to lose it again in the chaotic mess that was this war..

His heart was broken, yet still he wandered.

Night after night he went out. In the snow, in the rain, hopping from place to place, from gutter to hole to find what he so desperately wanted.

And night after night, he was disappointed.

How much more of this he could handle, he did not know. There was a duty he had and simply could not ignore... That duty involved senshi, one of whom had sent a very, very vague message that popped up on his own communication device. As unhelpful as it was, Brioche had wandered the city long enough to know atleast where she was talking about, and sent a brief message that he was on his way.

Whatever help she needed, he'd try to provide. It was his purpose after all... One he tried to fulfill as best he could.

She felt a little warmth in her tummy as the message came through, a giddy and very child-like sensation but her phone had actually done the 'thing' and someone had responded! She had no idea who they were or what they were, but they had indicated they would be on their way.

A smile lined her lips as she took a seat, choosing the third step of a lower stairwell just behind the major restaurants. She figured she'd been smart with this one, at peak times these places were busy and the constant clatter of dishes from the back meant that her voice wouldn't be heard for the most part.

Partially consumed by shadow, she also didn't stand out quite as much as she normally would and for the time being she had taken to examining her visor which, for the most part, didn't seem to do anything other than look neat. When Brioche showed up she would introduce herself and move off from there, probably to a slightly more secluded area.

For now though she remained still, hoping that remaining steady and otherwise quiet wouldn't let anyone else know she was here either.

It took more time than expected to finally reach the one who was waiting for him, and he was more than a little apologetic looking when he arrived.

"I'm sorry for the delay.. This place was a little further away than expected." There was no doubting that this was a senshi, so he let his words come forth, not thinking much about who could hear this talking cat speak.

"I am Brioche... And, I apologize, but I don't think I know exacty what you meant by your message. I am here now, so you are more than welcome to elaborate, if you have the time."

It was a bit of an ear piercing squeal, one of delight as the mauvian entered the scene.

She may have liked them ever since her first encounter... Just a little, you know, not enough to be weird. Except the otherwise fangirl-ish response to his otherwise uneventful appearance would have begged to differ. Evidently he didn't need to do much to impress her and who would have thought that a Mauvian would be the one she'd manage to contact?

"You are adorable!" She meant no disrespect but she couldn't help herself.

Ah, but the whole point of this, what had she called him here for...?

"Oh, right..." She pursed her lips and looked just a touch sheepish. "Um, I was looking for some training," she admitted. "Though I don't know if I can or not, I might just have to go out and look for some sort of trouble," she admitted.

"I am adorable." Brioche merely echoed, very much amused by the senshi's reaction. Yes, she must have been very new if she thought someone as hold and tired as he was came off as "cute".

But if it softened the strain of dealing with talking animals, he'd think nothing more of it.

"Training? What sort of training? Battle training? Technology training? Meowing-training? There are all sorts of training you can do, if you really want to." While he couldn't exactly do much in the way of training, he still wanted to offer her what knowledge he had, and sat there patiently for her to decide what she wanted, tail swishing back and forth lightly.

"There's also mental training, and training to go to your planet, lots and lots and lots of training, young one."

Meowing training?

"Um, the first two...if I'm being honest," her sheepish smile deepened and she clasped her hands together. She stayed where she was, sat down so that she didn't tower over him and sighed. "I'm sort of new to this and this whole time I haven't really worked out how I'm supposed to make this all work," she admitted. A deep sigh was soon to follow and she glanced down at her hands for a brief period.

"Some folks have been trying to train me but I can't take up all their time so... I'll take anything?" she explained. It still didn't clarify exactly what she wanted but to be honest, he could have taught her anything at this stage and probably found that it was something entirely different to what she had encountered up until this point.

"I'm actually pretty bad at like...all of it right now, the whole 'you gotta beat people up' isn't my best talent."

"Why not? You can certainly take up help when offered it. You know, you get nothing out of rejecting help. I've known many a senshi who failed and struggled because they refused to take any advice or ask for what they need. There's no shame at all for asking for help for something you don't understand, just as you did today." Brioche was certainly proud of her for taking the imitative to reach out to people, and walked up to her to pat her knee with a paw.

"You do understand that not everyone needs to fight, correct? There are negotiators, organizers, those who help others by healing... What does your power do, young one?"

"I get that but it's not exactly practical, is it?" she sighed and cupped her chin into her palms, her elbows against her knees as she peered at Broiche. He was certainly a kindly Mauvian, inclined to say all the right things at the right times, much like Arthur he put her at ease and she envied his patience. Perhaps all Mauvian were born this way, designed to encourage them so they all did the best they could?

"All these weird monsters don't seem to like to negotiate," she pursed her lips. "Another Mauvian told me you're supposed to stand on the shoulders of someone bigger and tell them off but I don't necessarily think that would work," she admitted. She'd been chased down an alleyway in an unrelenting fashion and yelling at it wasn't going to help, it had wanted to eat her and 'down doggy' wasn't something she expected it to be receptive to.

"And by the sounds of it the bad guys aren't really big on talking things through either, they're quite stabby stabby about punching a hole into your chest," she wrinkled her nose. While the senshi she'd met from that faction had been okay they had all seemed devoid of something. She couldn't quite put her finger on it but all of them had been driven to protect what was theirs and what they already had, in a way they were quite self-serving and when challenged they had declared 'necessity'.

...They were devoid of compassion.

"Um," she pursed her lips and then groaned, a little disheartened to say the least.

"So last time I spoke to Arthur I like...discovered I just sort of smile?" she admitted. "And apparently it made his tail feel more orderly or something," she added. In short, Adorea was a healer, though at this point in her career she didn't see any practical use for it.

"... I'm not sure what Mauvian told you that, but they sound rather silly. Sometimes it would work. Two of you on one shoulder would be rather startling, to say the least."

"No, they don't, but the people do. Some other senshi don't want to either. It's more important how you treat others, rather than how they treat you. After all, you can't change people very quickly through force. Leading by example is much more efficient." Though he had met a number of senshi, he could count the minutes he spent with them on maybe two paws. He had a hard time connecting to them...

Maybe it was an age thing.

"... Smile? So you only smile, and you... Heal people? Make them feel better? Huh, then perhaps you should focus on that. Going around and helping other senshi, maybe some Chaos members who are hurting as well. After all, being a good example and all that."

"Would that even work?" she seemed surprised at the possibility of using her abilities on the chaotic. Wouldn't that hurt them, some sort of burning like a vampire in the sun? She hadn't given this much thought until now but there was something to be said for his approach, a more gentle and diplomatic direction on those who wanted the help might very well begin with simply offering a hand and a smile.

No judgements, no off handed remarks, just a hand.

...Even if she might want to.

"Are you sure that wouldn't hurt them? I didn't think that the two energy thingies would necessarily go together that well," she admitted and shook her head. "I had figured it would just kind of ping me away or cause the opposite affect," she added. "Like a force field or something."

"... No, no, little one, it's not going to burn them! It's still healing, when it comes down to it, and human flesh is still human flesh, even if their powers come from a different source." Amused, his tail began to curl a little, and a soft laugh left him. It was silly, and he very much enjoyed the light conversation.

"I am positive. What you need to do is perhaps find a kinder Negaverse agent, and ask them. For Science, of course. There are kind, lost ones out there, I've met them before. Not everyone is as evil as it may seem."

Adorea's expression was thoughtful, Brioche was on to something there and given the fact that there were those who genuinely seemed lost...a helping hand could go a long way. The fact that she wouldn't set them on fire due to conflicting energies was simply an added bonus. For all intents and purposes she could show them that maybe, just maybe, there was light at the end of the tunnel and people were willing to help!

"I mean that's a bit of a gamble," she admitted and shook her head. "I'm all for it but what if I get it wrong and they're not exactly nice?" she asked curiously. "I'm not the best fighter, I can barely even take on those uh... Monsters?" She wrinkled her nose, Nix had called them something else but she couldn't quite put her finger on it in the moment.

"Last one looked like a dog and I'm fairly certain I'm scarred for life," she winced. "If they're all going to look like that then I'm in trouble," she admitted.

"Oh dear... That wouldn't be very good. Dogs aren't awful creatures, but it would be best to not allow yourself to be eaten by them, yes yes." He stood up from where he was seated, and began to pace a little bit, thinking to himself about the situation, about how best Adorea could be cared for.

"I think what you need then is a partner! Senshi should never be alone! They work best on teams, I think, so if you have a partner who can back up your healing with brawn, then perhaps you approaching others might go easier. Do you know of any strong senshi who might be able to help?"

"Probably not any that would hang out with me," she admitted and shook her head. She'd met a couple and they had seemed nice, but they had all seemed to need to be somewhere and hadn't necessarily been inclined to spend more time near her/ That might have been due to her personality but that would have been looking in to things a touch too deeply for a very short encounter, for the most part, they simply didn't seem to work in teams.

...Or at least those she had met hadn't.

"I mean I've met a couple, some guy named Castor and then another named Nix," she admitted and shook her head. "They seemed busy, they kinda had a handle on everything," she pointed out. "Doesn't seem like they'd need that much back up by the looks of it," she said with a smile.

Truth be told most of her encounters had been with the Negaverse and while not always pleasant, she hadn't been murdered just yet (and at least the cat had been cute)!
