The night had grown a little extra chilly and at some point, one particular little wolf pup had burrowed her way all the way under whatever warm bodies were closest. Probably her siblings. The only visible parts of the pup were her tail and the tip of her nose, peeking out from under someones paw. It wrinkled a little as fur tickled the end and the inevitable sneeze soon followed after. The sneeze rocked her little body (and most likely those she was sprawled under) before a little brown and tan head peeked up from the warm burrow of bodies.
Hoarfrost blinked blue eyes a few times to rid the sleep from them, staring around the cave. There were others sleeping, those stirring with the rise of the sun, and those that had already been awake.
Sniffing the air, Hoarfrost wiggled out of her warm spot to flop over one of her siblings. Another few clumsy steps and she darted towards the mouth of the cave, ready to greet the day and see what awaited them. She was ready to play, maybe find a bone to chew on. Or find a sibling to terrorize.
Whichever choice was to be decided, would have to wait. The moment she reached the mouth of the cave she ran head first into the snow and just... stopped. Laughter rang out from the snow, little tail wagging furiously. And then more laughter as Hoarfrost unstuck herself only to belly flop right back in to the white fluff.

Diamond Dust hated sleeping with her siblings, she hated the press of bodies around her and the feeling of too close, too close. So she generally just flopped her lil body on top of whomever was in the pile. Last night had been no different, and she was, of course, draped on top. So when one of her siblings started to move beneath her, all she could do was huff lightly, squeeze her eyes shut and hope that sleep wouldn't leave her just yet. She wasn't ready for morning. Unfortunately, such was not the case. A few squiggles below her, before a soft decent. Diamond mewed quietly and mismatched blue eyes opened, just in time to see her sister run toward the cave mouth and right into the snow. Amused, Dia squiggled her way up too, yawning lightly. With a more restrained pace, she headed towards Hoarfrost, stretching her lil legs along the way. Once she was close, she pounced, rushing the last few feet to jump into the snow next to her sister.
"Mooooorning! You woke me up! It's soooo early." She whined, pushing a little pile of the white stuff towards her sibling playfully.

He had intended to sleep -- intended to ignore the wriggles and movement with all his might. He was tired, after all, and while his siblings may not have been he certainly was. Unfortunately, when Diamond Dust whined out he was snapped from his sleep for the final time, unable to try and close his weary eyes. A sigh escaped him as he shifted, ears flattening while a yawn left. He trotted out into the snow, wincing against the bitter cold before he flopped into the fluffy sheet of white.
"And you woke me," he complained to Diamond Dust, rubbing at his eyes. She was right, it was early! Too early! He frowned, looking about for his parents before refocusing on his sisters. His tail thumped behind him, kicking snow up. His eyes trailed to the sky, narrowing against the sunlight.
Cold. Like it would be for a bit.

Scree Slurry had no idea how he'd been left as babysitter. Not that he minded in particular... when they were sleeping. But as the young wolf watched the little's bounce across the den right into the snow he was kinda reconsidering. Being little over half a year old, Scree was finally starting to look like an adult, albeit still obviously young, but at least he was getting there. He'd even been out on a hunt or two. However, being the oldest of the youngest, it seemed like he would be in charge of the little's now that the adults had to range further for food in the winter. How tiresome.
Deciding he should do a bit more than just watch the little's bounce around, the young wolf slowly stood and shook himself off. With a sigh, he left his warm spot and made his way to the the den entrance. At least it was sunny. Scree lifted his face to the sky, closing his eyes and basking in the light for a moment, though it held no warmth.
"What do you thinking you are doing over here pups?" The words weren't scolding, just mildly curious. He looked down at the three of them languidly.

She hadn't heard any of her siblings wake with her, only knew there had been some grumbles and movement. But suddenly there was Diamond Dust, pouncing the snow right next to her. Hoarfrost only laughed more, swatting snow at Dia playfully.
"Moooorning! I'm sorry. I just couldn't sleep any longer. And I wanted to find something to do... then I found this!" She laughed again, tail wagging as she waded through the snow more. Or rather, did more of a bunny hop from one stuck spot to another.
Oooooh and there was Zero! Hoarfrost laughed at their brother, managing to get a mouthful of snow in the process.
"Morning, Zerooooo!" She giggled, only pausing as the bigger Scree Slurry appeared. Her blue eyes blinked at him, little mouth sort of chewing the cold white snow. Where they in trouble? She didn't think they were. And then she didn't care, because the idea of getting to play with her siblings in the snow was too overwhelming.
"Plaaaaaaying~!" Hoarfrost sang out... right before managing to get enough of her body out of the snow to pounce on Dia. Or attempt to. She sort of landed half on her sister, with her face back in the snow.

Dia blinked as her sister returned her playful snow attack with one of her own. The stuff was cold! As Hoarfrost bounded further into the white fluff, Zero's disgruntled tone caught Dia's attention.
"Sorry Zero!" She whined apologetically to her brother. She truly hadn't meant to wake him and she hoped that she hadn't jostled him too much when she dislodged herself. She watched her brother a moment as his little tail swept the white stuff up into little whorls before Scree's voice distracted her.
He was positioned behind her and she tilted her head back to see him... and continued to tilt, and tilt further, until...

Hoarfrost's fluffy little body was enough to send Dia all the way over. She could feel her sister half on top of her as she squiggled on her back. She yipped once, before breaking out into giggles. "Hooooooarfrost!"
