[PRP] just traveling through [ pauk + luludja

It as strange to think that he, of all ponies, might be growing tired of traveling. The constant on the go wasn't for his own safety, as Pauk had come to find he had very few natural enemies left, but rather it was just an inner desire to stay on the move. There was a sense of wanderlust inside the hybrid that never seemed to dampen no matter how many years passed but, honestly, he was growing weary. The thought of settling down and planting roots would have once seemed so strange but now, in his older years, it didn't seem all that ridiculous.

Today found him resting on a bench, watching ponies as they passed by. He would be passing through too, probably, once this weird need to become a tree passed.

tab Today, like any other, Luludja missed home. There was a pain in her chest that just wouldn't go away, but with time, she was finding that it did ease. In all honesty, she was beginning to feel more comfortable here. The large towns and sometimes bustling crowds did get to be a bit much every now and again but… It was exciting in a way. Nothing like that ever happened back home. Sure, they had their celebrations and gatherings but nothing like this.

tab What truly intrigued her, though, were the ponies. All different kinds with vastly opposing ideals and morals in some cases. She'd never seen or heard of anything like it, aside from the few times she'd helped an Awakening ready pony through the Despair. Though, again if she was being honest with herself, she'd have much rather simply tended to her herbs and teas than anything else. It was a fact that may well have had a hand in her leaving, seeing as now she could do so freely without having that unwanted responsibility weighing on her.

tab She stopped beside another section of buildings, tilting her head as she read the signs above each door. Shopping proved tedious most days, which usually resulted in the homesick ache in her chest. It was all much simpler back home, much less exciting but simpler. Lulu lifted a cloven hoof to brush her bangs from her eyes before turning to the benches not far away. Perhaps a short rest would help her somehow sort her restless thoughts. However, it also presented a problem, seeing as how most of the benches were occupied and the only available seat entailed her sitting beside a very large hybrid of some sort.

tab Luludja gulped delicately, forcing down her suddenly spiking anxiety with an almost robotic mental chant of ‘you can do this’. “Excuse me? Would you mind greatly if I joined you?” She offered a small smile, reflexively reaching up to brush her bangs away from her eyes again as she awaited their response.
