There was a buzz in her ears and a sweet smell tickling her little nose as one black and tan doe peeked her head above the flowers she'd been smelling. It was a good day, bright and sunny and full of life. And such sweet fragrances would add an even more special ingredient to this day. Taking another sniff of the flowers, Pumpkin sighed and listened to everything around her. The hum of the bees. The sway of the grass and it's flowers. Yes. A picture perfect day.
And that was just what this little painter needed.
With one last inhale of the flowers, Pumpkin continued on her way. She had something special to do today. It had been by absolute chance, and luck, that she had come across a special stone. Oh, the stories had been passed down from her family. And other rabbits spoke about it when mention of Nymph's Pool came up.
If one were to offer up an offering stone, something spectacular would happen!
Pumpkin looked at the stone she carried gently.
She really wished something spectacular would happen to her. Something that was worthy of painting and saving the memory of this day for!
Giving herself a little shake, she darted forward, only slowing when she came closer to the vicinity of the pool. She excitedly babbled at any who requested what her business at the pool might be and continued on, only growing nervous as her eyes caught sight of the glimmering surface of the water.
"Mysterious graces," Pumpkin murmured as she slowly approached the water. "Please consider my offering? I bring it to you in hopes of something amazing happening! I have taken great care of this precious stone. So, if you have a moment to spare, please consider it?"
Taking a slow inhale of breath, Pumpkin gently tossed the stone into the waters depths as she exhaled, a shiver racing along her spine and making her fur stand up on end. "Thank you." She whispered, shaking herself to settle her fur.
Yes. This day had been the perfect day to make this trip and give her offering stone to Nymph's Pool.
