Nix had been busy recently with an array of things, and decided what he really needed was an evening doing something fun. He weighed his options, then eventually stuffed things into his senshi pocket and leapt off into the evening light, leaving an anime he'd seen a dozen times playing in his room.

After a bit of running around, and thankfully not running into anything trying to eat some poor hapless person, he arrived at a library. It was closed for the night, he was pretty sure, and thought it sounded like a fun idea to stand right on the edge of the roof up there and play something. A little fiddler on the roof, perhaps...thematic.

So, that's exactly what he did. With practiced deftness, he hopped up the building like it was a flight of stairs, and pulled his violin straight out of the air, followed by the bow. With froggy-toes over the ledge, he stood, and did a little warm up, adjusted his tuning slightly, and settled in for a concert for the squirrels and birds trying to sleep.

Surprisingly, people often didn't turn up on roofs where he chose to stop, so he'd kind of forgotten to keep an eye in that direction--actual threats he'd notice, after all. So, when someone suddenly spoke (he'd managed to completely miss the door opening & closing, after all), he stopped mid-measure and looked back, bow still poised to continue.

"Uh," he started, thinking fast, "Hard to say, really," he settled on, and grinned in what he hoped was a winning smile. "But I figure, if anyone did spot me up here, then maybe they'd be entertained by the sight and sound, huh?" He drew out another note from his instrument, then grinned bigger. "So...are ya?"

Nix considered the existence of senshis, youma, and all that to be a pretty terribly kept secret...but figured he shouldn’t be the one to reveal it to someone who had no idea. So, he just shrugged. “I feel like the updraft makes it more interesting,” he said cheerily, but dutifully stepped off of the ledge.

There were plenty of powered people to be a blatant show-off to when it came to balance and stupid places to stand, he figured.

“But okay, I can play a little further away, instead!” He grinned. “Any requests?”

"As a matter of fact," Nix replied with a big grin, which had started to appear at the word 'fiddler,' "I do! And only partially because I am, indeed, a fiddler on the roof," he laughed lightly, and with a possibly unnecessary flourish, brought his violin back up, poised with the bow, and thought for a brief moment.

Then he started playing.

The boy was no prodigy or anything. He wasn't going to be the talk of TV for his playing (maybe his location of playing, truth be told)... But he wasn't bad, by any means. He enjoyed doing it, so he practiced and paid attention.

Now, singing while playing...that was something he would maybe work on some time. For now, though, he just played...Jumping between parts a bit so that he wasn't just playing background noise.

The sudden singing along briefly threw Nix off, but he recovered quickly, obligingly going along with it as she stumbled a bit here and there.

Before too long, though, the song came to a close, and he ended it with a flourish and a big grin. "That was pretty good," he said cheerfully. "Maybe roofs should be concert venues more often!"

He glanced around, and briefly thought about how he should go about leaving. Whether or not he should show off obvious superhuman powers was always a tough choice...

"Honestly, I thought I'd showed up late enough that nobody'd notice," he replied with a sheepish shrug. "Or, at least, nobody who would be able to get up here."

"So, uh, congrats, you're the first person to... er, walk in on me playing on a roof!" He gave her a thumbs up at that. Others may have jumped in on him, but that wasn't the same, of course. "But I can leave if you're worried about some kid in tights on the roof..."

With an easy smile, Nix shrugged and nodded. He'd go with her instead of jumping off the roof, he decided. "Oh, I'm not worried about people seeing me," he said lightly. "I don't think my outfit is quite, uh right for hiding, don't you think?" He laughed, and swung his violin around behind him, as if he was attaching it to something on his back--it disappeared.

"So, lead on, Miss Librarian!" he declared, and gestured toward the door.

Nix grinned, but stayed quiet as she went for the door. "No key, huh?" he asked, finally, and shrugged. "Well, we can get off the roof my way if we need to."

He glanced around. "I don't suppose you've got a secret key hiding somewhere up here?"
