Sy moved her head around her den she scented the air as she normally did, she didn't smell anyone nearby, which made her confident that she was alone at the moment. Not that a visitor would be a problem, but she still kept to herself most of the time. She was fine with company as long it was on her own terms. She preferred to control who she interacted with. She was a private lioness. She made her way out of her den. She was happy she had Thimba to show her around, so she could learn the paths more easily.

She wasn't sure what she was going to do today, she wondered if she would come across Thimba at sometime soon, she hoped that she would, but she could never be certain of these sort of things. It was not long ago when she had lived alone. She had kept everyone away from her. She still felt a bit shocked she had been so welcomed into the nezi pride. She was happy that it had gone so well. She was very grateful for their kindness towards her.

Thimba gave himself a shake as he moved closer to his destination. He normally wandered aimlessly through the pride on days like these, but today felt like a good day to spend with someone else. Provided she was amenable to the idea, of course.

At the moment, the lion was debating how to approach her with the offer of taking another walk around the pride. It wasn’t often that he found another that so intrigued him, but he found that he liked her company and she was far more educated about the world than a lot of the other members of the N’ezi. It was... nice.

He had never been very good at deciphering feelings.

Walking close to the entrance of her den, Thimba cleared his throat, “Sy?”

Sy turned to the sound, she was surprised at the voice she heard there. "Oh hi Thimba, I wasn't expecting to run into you today, how are you today?" She smiled a little. She had her pride bones woven into her hair now and she was growing a little more comfortable in the pride. It was becoming her home and that was not something she ever saw coming. After being alone so lone she thought that was how it would always be. She waited for Thimba to answer her question, curious as to what he was doing that day. Thimba was the first one she had gotten close to in the pride.

He smiled as she responded back, approaching the den entrance a little more comfortably now. "Good, good." He shrugged, "It's a nice warm day today, and I figured it would be a waste to spend it alone. What do you say to another walk around the pride?"

Nothing if not straight-forward, this boy was. The way he saw it, there was no point in beating around the bush. If she was busy, she would say no. If she wanted to go, she would say yes.

That said... Thimba was hopeful that she'd agree. He'd like to spend some more time with her.

Sy smiled and felt her cheeks warm as she listened to Thimba's invitation to go walking together since he had already helped her learn the paths in the pride the invitation felt a lot more personal than just being nice and she had grown to like him. He was very kind and didn't treat her poorly or even suggest that anyone should ever have. Not being able to see did not affect anything at all in her new home. She smiled and then said "I would love to go for a walk with you." She said her tone as warm as she could make it. She was still herself just a little fluffy with how she felt in this situation.

Thimba perked up at her agreement, and he smiled with a nod, though, knowing she wouldn't have seen that, he continued, "Great! I'm ready to go whenever you are then." After all, she may have been in the middle of doing something. He was fine with waiting for her to finish before they left.

Sitting down, the lion tilted his head thoughtfully. "I hope I didn't interrupt you by the way."

As for where they'd go, he didn't actually have a specific destination in mind, and he wasn't really planning on having one. The point was to spend time with the person anyway, not the place.

Sy smiled and then nodded "Alright then let's go." She said unsure where they would go either. "So where do you want to go?" She asked turning her head in his direction. It didn't matter to her that she couldn't see. No one in the pride had treated her badly because she couldn't see. It had meant a lot to her and had made it possible for the Nezi pride to become her true home. Sy considered what to say next and she really wasn't sure. She liked Thimba but she was also a little nervous since she didn't have much social knowhow.

He hummed thoughtfully, though he had already had an idea of where. It was his attempt an nonchalance.

"Perhaps towards the watering hole? We could take a stroll around the border as well while we're at it. See if we can't find a few good landmarks to keep track of where the pride lands end."

Thimba wasn't too worried about what to talk about. He was confident in his ability to think of something. That said, it didn't mean he was also nervous. Just... in a different way. At least this first hurdle had been passed. Now they could move on to spending time with each other.

Sy nodded thoughtfully as she listened to Thimba speaking and she enjoyed listening to his words. "That sounds very nice." She said in a calm manner. She was doing her best to keep her emotions in check, which was not always easy for her. She had been used to a life alone for a long time and then she thought she would live a life on the outskirts of the Nezi as well. Then to be so welcomed by the pride had been a shock to her. Having Thimba show interest in her as a lioness had also come as a shock. "Alright let's go." She said in a warm tone. Ready to follow his scent and count the steps to different locations in the pride.

Her enthusiasm was appreciated, and he couldn't help his grin. Thimba turned as she mentioned them heading out, padding away to start their walk. He was looking forward to seeing what new things they could learn while out and about, and if those new things just happened to be about each other? All the better!

With that in mind, the lion kept up some small talk as they walked away.
