Blair hummed a bit as she continued to set up her little shop. She was on the street that allowed people to sell their home-made wares and she had some time off from Community College and had decided to sell today because why not? The weather was miraculously nice today, compared to the heatwave that had just gone through, and so it was perfect to spend some hours outside. She hummed as she set up her earrings, sterilized of course and in little baggies, necklaces, rings, her catalogue, and everything else that she usually sold as jewelry. She moved her tiny portable speaker a bit back from everything and turned the music on at an acceptable level. Loud enough to hear, but not too loud. She could still easily converse with any customers that may come along, or people who just wanted to browse! After all, she was just selling her wares for a little extra cash. Anything that wasn't sold would be up for sale online as usual, but here her customers didn't have to wait for the jewelry to be shipped. With everything set up, a blanket in front of her with some turntables for her various wares and others, all she had to do was wait! She brought along a few books and things to do while she waited, but for right now she was pumped and ready to go and try to sell sell sell! She continued to hum and move her body, snapping her finger now and then to the music, hoping to catch the eye of any potential sales.

Life made a person restless. Millie was nearing the beginning of her first year at DCU, and she didn’t quite know how to fully grasp that information. She was going…to be in college…and she wasn’t quite sure how she had come to this point in her journey.
Sometimes when she thought about it, it seemed like just yesterday when she had first met ********* and awakened into Sailor Lenka…but honestly? That time of her life was over now. She hadn’t powered up…in years and though it did feel as though something big was missing from her life…there was a sense of contentment there too.
Here she was…getting ready to go to school for…well. She still wasn’t sure what she would be studying but…she was sure that it would be something she could figure out as she went. She had an amazing boyfriend…there wasn’t anyone on this planet as wonderful as Orin was…and she had Jett and his family too! Hardly a week went by that she wasn’t over there babysitting the two girls so that Raven and Jett could go out on a date night…and more often than not she was there just because she liked hanging out with them.
Millie was walking alone, and had some money to burn and decided to make a detour to the artsy part of town. It seemed that there was always some street festival with people selling homemade food or arts and crafts…and a lot of the food places gave free samples.
Free samples were always the best.
She managed to find a really good lemonade stand and wondered around until the sound of music caught her attention and she saw a girl who seemed to be selling jewelry. Meandering closer, Millie looked at everything that was available and smiled at the girl in front of her. “Did you make all of this? They’re beautiful!”

Blair noticed a girl coming toward her and she made sure to make herself a bit more "presentable", which meant making sure she wasn't moving to the beat while she made her sale. She nodded at the compliment that the girl gave her. "Sure did, thank you! I make these as a hobby but it's kind of fun to work with my hands you know? And honestly, it's a lot better than buying them in the stores where they are so expensive. If I make it myself, I get to do my own designs! Though I don't cut the gems, that's a little too much for me, but I do make the metal holdings and such. Usually don't do personal orders, but I do like to make the same ones at different sizes for rings so that most people can wear them."Near her ring displays was a ring-size guide and each ring was labelled so that customers could easily see which ones were their size and which weren't. Of course, she would have to make sure to keep an eye on them, after all, those who browsed and even some who bought liked to put them back in the wrong places sometimes. "Figured today would be a good day to come out here. It's so nice outside! Compared to what it has been at least. And I get a little sun, and people get to look at my stuff! It's pretty awesome." She said, giving a nod to a person who walked by. "Take your time browsing!" She usually didn't make too many sales like this, a few if she was lucky. That didn't discourage her though!

“It is a beautiful day today…it’s been so oppressively hot that I haven’t wanted to leave my house hardly. Though, you know as well as I that in a few months we’ll all be complaining about the snow and the cold…” She chuckled and reached out for a ring that had a pink stone in it. “You really are talented!” Millie commented, slipping the ring on and holding her hand up to admire how much the stone sparkled.
She sighed and pursed her lips after a moment. “All right, all right. You’ve caught me. I’m a big fan of this watermelon pink color…and it just so happens to be a perfect fit so…what’s the damage for this ring?”
If Millie were being honest…she hadn’t actually meant to buy anything…but it was easy to splurge when things were so pretty. “I’ve never had much of an interest in making jewelry, but if you’re ever holding any lessons or anything, I’d be almost interested to figure out how you do it. They look really good!”
She began digging for her wallet in the back pocket of her shorts.

"Right? If only we could have Spring or Fall weather all the time, I'd be happy with that." Of course, that wasn't to happen. They weren't in Europe where it was about the same throughout the whole year. No, they just had to live in an area that got all four seasons. Not something that she looked forward too, and if AC and Heating weren't so expensive, she might have just stayed in her apartment during those times. "Thank you! And for that ring?" Blair thought about it for a bit. "Is $20 okay? I mean, I know it's not professional, but I think that's a good price." And if there was a pattern of them not selling for that price, she would reduce it. That's just the way it was. Of course, she wasn't going to go under $10. But as this was a hobby and she had to buy everything herself and then make it, it added up quite a bit. At least it wasn't her main source of income though! "Sure, I would love to! If you're interested that is." She didn't really care if someone else wanted to do it. It was a lot cheaper to make your own jewelry at least, and it's not as though it were some huge secret. "Thank you though! I'm still practicing, but every piece I make I feel like I get better and better, you know?" "So, you live around here then? I'm going to the Community College here, though I'm not sure if I'll switch to DCU later. Depends on if I need it for my future career."

Millie nodded and grinned, laughing, drawing out the money and handing it over. “I think it’s a great price! You should be compensated for the hard work you put into it!” As she glanced at her phone, she grimaced and nodded. “Yeah! I go to DCU right now...I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, but getting the Gen Ed courses out of the way is a good start. I’m so, so sorry to buy something and ditch, but I forgot that I was supposed to meet my mom for something today, and she’ll tan my hide if I don’t show up.”
The girl rolled her eyes and gave a heavy sigh. “...Sometimes she still treats me like I’m a kid, and I’m completely and utterly grown now, ya know?”
She slipped the ring on her finger and admired it for a moment before grinning. “I’ll see you around, yeah? It was really nice to meet you! I’ll be back again sometime with more money to burn, I love this color, so...think of me the next time you’re making things!”
With a grin, Millie waved and sped off, pleased with her purchase and the fact she had met someone so nice.

Blair wasn't surprised at the young woman's speediness in leaving. One couldn't be hanging around all day, especially if she wanted to attract other people to her wares! She made sure to say her goodbyes and thanks for the purchase and then watched as the other sped off. Varda sighed and moved to a more relaxed position and took a look around. An interesting encounter to say the least, and even if it was the only thing she sold today, at least it was worth it to come out! Orangeish Sherbert Fin from me! Thanks so much for the rp!
