She knew what all of her Warriors were made of, this tom she didn't know. That wasn't a bad. That just meant she had to find out and help him improve where he might need the encouragement.
Best way to start is paws first, Shadowstar leapt at the tom

To say Shadowstar was impressive was an understatement and Russetstorm was eager to learn from her. He watched her movements carefully, doing his best to dodge her first strike and counter with his own.

Shadowstar took more note of his attack, slowing her own movements not to go easy on him but to learn. Hitting too hard and too fast would end it before she had a chance to make a fair evaluation. Thats also why her attack too a few moments more and was meant to be lighter.

Not too bad, though Shadowstar accidentally dodged more of it than she meant to. Even moving as much as she did, the blow was felt. respect to him for that.
