Jean had to keep himself from snatching the paper out of the teacher's hand, and instead waited for her to set it on his desk before eagerly grabbing it and starting to write, his pencil almost catching on fire because of how fast he was writing. This assignment was easy for him. He of course, wanted to be a private detective! There wasn't anything else that he wanted to be more than that! And if for some reason he couldn't do it because he was a sluagh, then he at least wanted to be a private detective's assistant! At least that way he could lend some help to the case! Whatever that might be. Who knew.

"I want to be a Private Detective when I grow up! Sure, I could be a Police Detective, but they're so restricted! I want to have the freedom to choose which cases I want to take on and how I want to go about finding evidence! That's legal of course. I know that I have to follow the laws still, but being a Private Detective just seems so much more exciting than a Police one! Though I know they are very good too! But as a Private Detective I would be able to dedicate myself to a case or a few at a time. If I was doing it as an official, I would have to take on many more cases, and unfortunately some would fall under the cracks. And as a Private Detective, I could set my own rates too!"

It wasn't much, but it pretty much said all that he was thinking about when he thought of Private Detective. He quickly turned his paper in and was out the door, heading straight to the library to look for more mystery novels.
