CLEVER Rhiannon is quick-witted and excels in school, whether it is muggle subjects or magical, she is able to figure out most problems she comes across, which boosts her ego just a bit (or, more accurately, quite a bit).
CYNICAL Rhiannon has always had a darker outlook on life, and is much more likely than her brother to express her concerns, or point out the flaws in someone else’s idea as she believes her ideas are likely better and more thought out than anyone else’s.
ORGANIZED Lists, patterns and systems are Rhiannon’s bread and butter. Organization eases most anxieties that she has, although when the balance is thrown out of whack, by change or just a missed step, Rhiannon gets nervous and anxious until she can put everything back in order.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Rhiannon and her twin brother, Gideon, were born to a muggleborn witch, Caitlin Engels, and a muggle father, James McArthur. Caitlin Engels aspired for stardom as a young adult and instead of using her magical talents, she honed her musical talents in order to become a popular singer/songwriter in the muggle world, leaving behind any trauma imprinted on her during her years as a student. A whirlwind romance led Caitlin to marrying James and having his children. For a while, everyone was happy. Rhiannon and Gideon lived a protected and secure life, only having to deal with the occasional unwanted paparazzi attack. Rhiannon never liked confronting the press, with their intrusive questions and incessant picture taking and when she started showing signs of magic, by cracking camera lens or snapping the strap securing the camera, Caitlin knew she had to step in to hide the magical world. Caitlin stepped out of the limelight to raise her children safely. James, however, did not like this decision nor did he like the fact that Caitlin hid her magic from not only the world, but him as well. And thus, Rhiannon’s parents’ relationship ended almost as quickly as it began. During all of the fights and arguing, Rhiannon found solace in her twin brother, Gideon and the pair spent almost all of their time together. They barely spoke to each other, communicating with side glances and pulled faces around their parents and speaking in hushed voices late at night, discussing their magical abilities as well as their mother’s. Rhiannon secretly blames herself for her parents breakup, if she had been able to control her temper, perhaps they wouldn’t be in this mess. Perhaps going to school to control her abilities will somehow help her fix all of their problems. Maybe.

SCHOOL YEARS
■ FIRST YEAR Rhiannon's first year went pretty well. She joined the Ravenclaw quidditch team as a reserve chaser (she believes she totally deserved to join as a starter, but maybe that is her ego talking), as well as joined the art club and fencing club. Through these, she met a few people, including Rhea and Aidene. She also made friends with both of the Hill sisters, though she was a bit closer to Laurel, as they are in the same house.
