Training was not something he'd ever really done, there had never been a point to it. Being a dark mirror senshi had played no real part in his life until recently, there had been no reason for it to be a part of his life before. Rhona however had come into his life and changed things. Liam was still getting used to all of it, the changed hadn't been small and had been rather quick to occur. He hadn't even figured just how he'd manage it all, or rather he had figured on it but things weren't exactly the same, but he was coping as well as he could be.
Living outside of an orphanage for the first time in his life was different - very different. He didn't spend all that time with the kids and the adults who ran things. He had more time to himself, alone, and he had more money since he had an actual job. It was good though, he couldn't complain.
This...this he could complain about though. Training. It made him think of running around and sweating and doing more than what little he did in gym during high school, he was not the sports kind of person. But Rhona had made the case for how, and why, it was necessary. Especially after the big plant issue recently. So, with her pointing that out, he'd agreed and was waiting for her at the front door. "I'm ready whenever you are." He called out as he tipped his head back, tanned arms resting across his chest, his teal eyes dropping to half mast as he waited for her.

Watching Liam blossom and thrive had been a deep and humbling honor for Rhona. There was no greater joy, she had discovered, then stepping back and letting him discover his new world and his new life for himself. Hell, watching him discover his new self! With that in mind, Rhona would have ideally wanted to wait to press the issue of training until he was fully settled into himself. Destiny City, however, had fired back with a million reasons why that wasn't an option. And as much as she didn't want to pressure Liam into something that he didn't want to do, she also didn't want him dead. So urgency won out in the end. She arrived from work, powered up and ready to go, as he called out to her. "Excellent," she called back, shaking the last vestiges of transformation from her limbs. "The first thing that we have to establish, of course, is what role you want to play. Offense or support. I like to be on the front lines, but Kiuchi takes on a more supportive role. Crocus likes to do the same, while Mithra fights with me." All names Melpomene had no way of knowing as of yet, and Acubens had to make a point to introduce him to. "Start with your magic. What does it do?"

"I don't know." A shrug of his shoulders answered her question. "I assume my magic will dictate some of what role I play." Though some would also be decided by what he personally wanted to do. He wasn't much for staying in the background having had to do things for himself his whole life. He wasn't one to let others do things for him, not really anyway.
"I'd rather stick to the front lines if I can." Is his magic helped in that it would work best, but he'd still try anyway. "Should I power up or are we leaving and then I'll power up?" As he wasn't sure which she'd prefer, anyone could trace their signatures to her home, and he didn't think that was much of a good idea. Having someone barge into their home, kicking the door down, was not on his list of things he needed in his life - thank you very much. He might be a senshi, and involved in the cities nonsense, but he'd prefer to keep it separate from his civilian life.

Acubens nodded thoughtfully at Liam's comments. She was especially grateful that he wanted to be in the thick of things. She was better at teaching how to fight, thought it would have been nice practice for Kiuchi to have a support member to train up a little. "Magic does play a part in what role you play, but only because, I've found, magic tends to reflect personality. If you are more aggressive, you will have a more aggressive magic. "And actually," Acubens said, stepping over to the full-sized mirror by the door. She tapped the surface gently, causing it to shimmer under her fingertips. "We're going to a much more controlled environment. Somewhere we can keep a hold of the variables." She stepped into the surface with practiced ease, like stepping into a shower. The surface rippled like water around her body. "Power up and follow me. You shouldn't have any trouble getting into mirrorspace, even if you haven't been before."

"I wouldn't have thought of it in that way. But more so that it's hard to be on the front lines if your magic is more support. It won't help you in dealing damage." Leaving you to rely on your hands and feet and fighting ability. So it wouldn't help, though it wouldn't hinder either, it was better to have magic which would help if you were on the front lines.
Standing up, and stretching, he powered up and followed after her. Walking towards the mirror he stepped into it, slowly. He had more caution in him than Acubens did, less experience and such, he also needed to focus more on what he wanted to do...rather than walking face first into a mirror and busting his nose. He wanted to walk right into the mirror and come out somewhere else. Which was, thankfully, what he did.

"If your magic is support and you still want to be on the front lines, then you need to rely more on your body than your sphere," Acubens answered, slipping through the corridors soundlessly. "However, we have so few support senshi that I prefer to keep them out of the direct fire, especially the ones with healing magic. Of which we have truly pitifully few." "We're going..." Acubens opened a few doors and poked her head inside before withdrawing, clearly unhappy with what she saw inside. About four doors later she made a sound of affirmation and flung the door open wide. "We're going here," she answered. The room inside was larger than it seemed possible, with high ceilings and a mostly clear floor. Some debris littered the room, but nothing that couldn't be kicked out of the way. "Now, let's see what you can do. Hit me with your magic, Melly."

"We could try and recruit ones with healing magic?" Came the suggestion. A cat, as far as he knew, could give them a sphere for someone even before the person was awoken. So if someone with a sphere that sounded like it could have healing magic was found, before being awoken, by a cat then they could snatch that person up - right? It just meant wandering around with a cat in their arms all day as a civilian, since wandering around while powered up, wasn't a safe idea.
"Who else has support magic that you don't want on the front lines?" As he didn't know many others it was best to ask Acubens, perhaps he could help keep those people safe for her? It would certainly help her; make her job easier.
Stepping into the room he took the time to look around before turning to stare at her. "Melly? Liam works fine you know." Melly sounded rather...feminine...and perhaps a bit childish...he wasn't sure really.
Walking past Acubens he turned, in passing, and blew a kiss towards her as he called his attack, taking a moment to smirk at her even. He might as well considering how magics name and the blowing kiss part. This was going to be interesting."Hearts compassion."Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Heart's Compassion Pressing two fingers to his lips Melpomene will blow a kiss towards the target as he calls his attack. His target must be within five feet of him, direction they are in does not matter though the attack must be aimed at them, once the little swirl of bleeding hearts hits them the individual will feel compassion, and tenderness, for everyone around them - enemy or ally and will try and help them if they are in need of help. They will not try and hurt anyone. This attack will last thirty seconds and can be used three times in battle.
