♡strєngths: Clever, Intelligent, Adaptable (is good on picking up social cues and can usualy fake it until she makes it in most social situations), Hard Working, and Strong Willed.
♡wєαknєssєs: Can't fight for sh*t, Too curious for her own good, Doesn't always take proper care of herself, Takes on too much at once, and Struggles to open up about herself.
♡pєrsσnαlítч: Izzy comes off as very laid back and fun since she is very social and friendly. However, anyone who really knows Izzy knows that she is the mom friend, but she's definitely a cool mom. She loves a good time, but will never do anything she thinks is unsafe. She tries to be prepared for anything, which means her purse is loaded with all kinds of cr@p. When faced with danger while Izzy does her best to hold herself together though to go about dealing with it in a logical way. As a result, she is able to usually maintain a cool front even when sh*t hits the fan.

♡вíσgrαphч: Izzy was born and raised in France by two loving fathers. Her birth mother is the sister to one of her fathers, but she lost her rights over Izzy when she was still just a toddler due to neglect. From what Izzy has learned her mother was an uncontrollable free spirit who didn't want any responsibility. She got pregnant with Izzy in high school and dropped out soon after. She always claimed that she could raise her perfectly fine, but succumbed to drugs and partying. As a result, child services took her away and for a few years Izzy lived in the foster system.
When asked about her time as a foster kid Izzy will say she doesn't remember much which is true. Being so young at the time her memories of foster life is a blur, but she does remember remember bits and pieces. Some memories are just ok such as memories of going to different schools, while others are awful such as being bullied by her foster siblings or abused by some foster parents.
When she was around the age of 10 she was adopted by her uncle and his partner. They are the ones who she came to see as her real parents. It took so long for them to adopt her in part because they didn't know that Izzy existed. When Izzy's mom dropped out of high school she never said it was because she was pregnant. She just took off. Once they did find out about Izzy they had to wait for their application to go through and all of that stuff. Once they did have Izzy things weren't immediately perfect. Izzy was a very hesitant and shy child. She didn't really speak her mind and was skittish around her dads. Thankfully, with enough love and care from them, she was able to completely transform.
For many years Izzy was considered a "golden child." She received top marks in her classes, was very respectful, and could manage responsibility very well. These qualities made her the favorite of many different teachers so she was often labeled a teacher's pet and a know-it-all. As a result, she only made friends with other brainiac kids in her early years. Now while Izzy has always enjoyed intelligent conversation she hated being around the same type of people all the time. This annoyance grew stronger as these kids went from being simple academic lovers to snobby intellectuals who believed they were better than everyone else. Due to hanging around those types of people that was just another thing many labeled Izzy as, until mid high school.
At the start of high school much of Izzy's life remained routine. She went to school, attended classes, studied even during lunch, and after school participated in notable clubs such as debate team and student government. It wasn't until she caught the eye of a certain bad boy that things in her life started to get mixed up.
This boy had been one that Izzy knew even in middle school. Many of his friends would bully her even back then, but he kept quite until high school. Why he did that she never really knew until she gathered up the courage to confront him after school one day. She insisted that he tell her what his problem with her was, and all he said at first was that he hated watching her "prance around the school with her prissy attitude, flaunting her privilege." This set Izzy off because yes, her family was well off, and yes, she had a happy home life, but he life had not always been easy.
For a while the two had this back and forth until one day their arguments caught the attention of a teacher who gave them both detention for causing a disturbance. It was during that after school detention that finally some walls were broken down. The two learned more about each other. While Izzy started out in a rough situation and now was in a good one the boy started with a happy life and was now in a rough patch. His parents' marriage was going down the drain and his older brother was in jail for assault and robbery. By the end of detention the two hadn't exactly become friends, but something was there that wasn't there before.
As time went on the two grew closer. They'd often have secret meeting under the bleachers during lunch or after school when Izzy wasn't busy with club duties to talk. She took to helping him study and helped motivate him to care a little more about the responsibilities in his life, while he helped push Izzy to have fun and get out of her comfort zone a bit. Part of pushing Izzy included giving her a makeover that included cutting and dying her hair, getting her more scandalous clothes, contacts, and a nose piercing. Naturally, her fathers were outraged.
They told Izzy that she was forbidden to see the boy again, however, the more they told her no the more she desired to be closer to him. This soon turned into her sneaking out and going to parties without her fathers knowing, which lead to get getting grounded pretty often and her grades even started to slip a little (but she was never failing).
Eventually Izzy attempted to break away from her friend when she heard him talk sh*t behind her back to his friends. He claimed that everything he said was just a front for his friends, but that didn't make it any better. Izzy had sacrificed her relationship with her fathers and had lost all of her original friends in the process of bonding with this boy. She was furious that she was putting in more work to understand him than he was to understand her and it just was too much. Her anger overwhelmed her and she ended up accidentally admitting that she was falling for him and once that little secret slipped out she ran away.
For the next few days Izzy called out sick, which she almost never did, and when she returned to school she was back to her old look (minus the long hair since hair doesn't just magically grow back). Despite falling back into the old routine, which she once loved, it was clear that she was still different. She wasn't satisfied anymore with the same old same old. She even tried returning to her old self by dating one of the smart snobs she used to hang out with, believing that if she could fall for him then things would change. However, she never could bring herself to like him let along love him.
Seeing Izzy with this smart snob made her bad boy friend super jealous which resulted in him confronting her about the relationship. The two exchanged many harsh words before somehow ending up locking in a passionate kiss by the bleachers where they used to talk. Soon after that everything became much easier for Izzy. She broke up with her jerk boyfriend to be with her beloved bad boy who really had a good heart underneath it all. He started putting more effort into getting to know Izzy and took school more seriously. They both ended up finding new friends who weren't so clicky and everything was great. Sure, it took some convincing to her her fathers on board, but in time the came around to the guy.
It wasn't until the end of high school that things became difficult once more. As graduation neared Izzy realized that she'd soon have to separate from her boyfriend. She had decided to go to college for psychology, desiring to become a therapist. Her boyfriend, on the other hand, didn't want to go to college at all. He believed he'd do just fine with a high school degree since what he really wanted to do was travel photography. He had spent the entire senior year begging Izzy to travel with him and write. He had seen her work on the school newspaper and knew how much she loved writing, plus she was good at it. He knew deep inside she really did want to write as a career, but her fathers were the ones who insisted that such a path would lead to nothing but poverty. Since her fathers already had mixed opinions on her boyfriend Izzy didn't want to make matters worse by not going to college. This lead to more fighting and in the end Izzy and her boyfriend broke up, but even into her college years they maintained a friends with benefits type relationship. He'd show up for a day or two, they'd go out, talk about their life, having a little fun in bed, and then he'd be off.
During college Izzy found herself drawn specifically to forensic psychology which was the psychology of criminals. This was a little shocking to her since she thought she wanted to be a therapist, but now her goals were different. She wanted to investigate the minds of criminals and real dove into her studies, making many friends within her major. She even got a girlfriend within the same major, but the relationship was open so they both continued to see other people while together.
Everything was going just fine until Izzy found out she was pregnant with her ex's baby. This lead to her girlfriend dumping her and she dropped out of college to start working to support her child. Her fathers were totally furious and one even accused her of being just like her "irresponsible mess of a mother." That was the argument that lead Izzy to cut herself off from her fathers for a few years and she changed her long held nickname "Belle" to "Izzy."
Not wanting to pressure her ex into having to stop his travels, Izzy kept her pregnancy a secret from him. What she didn't expect though was for him to reach out to her ex-girlfriend who broke the news to him. Once he found out he spent weeks hunting down Izzy and when he finally found her she was close to her due date. The two fought about the whole situation, but in the end her ex insisted on contributing in some way. Izzy said that he could send her child support if he wanted but she didn't want him to force himself to change everything about his life. She knew that if he did he'd just end up resenting her. Upon hearing this concern Izzy's ex made the decision there and then to make changes. He said that if Izzy was willing to adapt her life to the needs of this baby then he would be too, and he would never resent her for it. They were in this together now.
Fast forward a few months, Izzy gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Gemma. She was the center of both her and her ex's world. For the first few months of her life they were all a happy family. Struggling financially sure but happy. Izzy took to working in a diner while her ex got certified in tattooing and worked in that in order to retain some artistic aspect in his life. He actually did a lot of Izzy's work himself and taught her a few things about the craft before his passing.
His death, and the death of their daughter, was all a horrible accident. It was a winter night and her ex was driving with their baby girl Gemma to pick up Izzy from work. He planned to surprise her by taking her and Gemma out to dinner, but the icy roads prevented that. It wasn't until the end of her shift that Izzy saw that she had a missed call and when she answered it it was the hospital telling her that her baby and dear friend had been in an accident. When she arrived she was told that her baby died on impact and her ex died on the ambulance ride to the hospital.
After that Izzy entered a state of depression. She spent her days in her small apartment drinking and doing drugs and would drag herself to work at night, hungover as all hell. One of her co-workers, who was also a close friend at this point, tried to help Izzy during her shifts so that he state wouldn't be noticed, but soon enough she was fired for coming to work blazed as f*ck.
A few days after being fired Izzy received a surprise phone call from her dads. They had heard what had happened, it was in the news, and were so sorry. They told Izzy that they regret not getting to know their granddaughter and they really wanted her to come home. Izzy replied that she just couldn't see them, or anyone familiar, right now. She just wanted to escape from it all. To forget. So she did was her ex always wanted to do with his life. Travel.
While she had very little money she had enough to at least make it to Europe and from their she backpacked around. She made friends where ever she went and truly had a great time, but at night, when everything was quiet, she'd sob quietly as the realization that she'd never hold her little girl again or be able to crack jokes with her friend set in.
During her travels Izzy started a travel blog and would post stories about her adventurous along with pictures she took or drawings. Once money started to run low she took to learning more about tattooing. She already knew a few things from her ex and soon enough she was able to work at a tattoo shop in Europe to save up some more money for her travels. This was essentially how she lived fora few years. Traveling on a budget, and stopping to work in different tattoo shops when she needed more money. Any time she was in an area that happened to be one of her favorites she would get a tattoo to remember it and so her body is covered with tattoos of various styles to represent her adventures.
Eventually, her dads sent a private eye after her to return her home. Even after being found though Izzy wasn't quick to budge. She gave the private eye a hard time and the two actually established a similar frenemy situation to what she originally had with her ex in high school. The two actually did hook up once and after that Izzy felt incredibly guilty. During her travels she had hooked up with many strangers, but this time it was different. She only slept with the private eye because he reminder her of her ex and that wasn't right to her. It was then that she realized she needed to go home and get actual help.
Upon returning home Izzy started going to therapy. Repairing relations with her dads took a while but it started to get increasingly better with time. Once Izzy properly grieved her loss she was able to move forward with a new goal. She wanted to earn a degree in both psychology and english. Of course, doing so would take money she was wasn't about to ask her dads, who had been covering her for months, to spent anymore money on her. As a result, she came up with a plan. She was going to continue tattooing since she was good at it and save up money from that. While working at a tattoo artist she'd take online classes and once she had her degree she figured maybe she'd try to launch her own online magazine that would showcase both stories and art from different people around the world. It's an idea that a work in progress but it is at least something.
