"Help!"
Iluka'hanya, a brave lioness. A strong one. A female who had taken to an abandoned temple like a fly to dung... was stuck. No, trapped, really, with a severe wound on her hind leg that kept her grounded within her earthy tomb. It was a hole in the ground, strategically placed by someone, or something, a long time ago. Slick sides from all the rain fall and debris that had buffeted her landing filled it's bottom, so that not even she knew how much further it might have gone. The fall had been substantial enough to make her angry. The fact that she couldn't get out, made her panic.
She was alone. She had been alone for quite a while now, roaming just to roam, exploring just to explore. A rogue lioness, smitten by the rogue lifestyle. But she was coming to regret it all entirely. What was it her mother had taught her? Always have a back-up plan? Always take a friend? Which was it? Gah, no matter...
If Iluka got out of here, she'd never wander alone again.
"...Help..." The female tried again. Knowing it was futile but hoping... maybe... someone would hear her. Pass by. Catch her words as they bounced off the walls of the pit, up into the open where all around stood stone walls. Deteriorating. She couldn't be the only one drawn to them, right?
Her voice was hoarse, her body weak. A third day was coming to a close.
Her eyes dropped, trying to avoid the wound but catching it in passing. It wasn't healing on its own. Damn.

Nyuso padded along what remained of the path leading to the crumbling temple, humming a little tune to himself. He was pleased - he hadn't caught anything during his foray into fishing, sure, but he had made pleasant conversation and went on to gather a number of plants unique to the deep jungle. He'd have to keep that area - and that pride - in mind; he had entirely expected to have to deal with rowdy guards along some border or dangers lurking amongst the canopy.
That lioness was rather odd, too, he thought, absentmindedly scanning the walls of the temple for any tangles of ivy or hardy plants peeking through cracks, I wonder why she--
Nyuso's train of thought came to a sudden end when one of his front paws didn't connect with the ground, sending him lurching forward with a yelp - his front half almost entirely in the pit - before he scrambled backwards, sending small broken pieces of the ruin flying down in his stead.
His heart racing and fur standing on end, he took a second to collect himself. Had he seen someone in there?
After settling down, he crawled forward on all fours and peeked over the edge. Someone? Yes. An alive someone? ...Maybe?
The male suddenly took on a grave air as he mulled over what to do. Unfortunately, his solution was to bat a few more pebbles down the pit and shout a rather uncertain: "Hello?"
