Flowers are blooming at an incredible place across the city and sometimes barren patches of grass can be overrun with flowers overnight. There have been heavy showers and a high pollen count but there doesn’t appear to be any other explanation. It is not uncommon to find trees with nearly double the leaves they usually have, with vines twisting up houses, flowers covering the front yard, or local fruits to have doubled in size. There doesn’t seem to be any negative effects to this; scientists are questioning climate change."

Airitech blinked as he trotted down the sidewalk, in awe off the scene around him. He had never seen anything like this. It was like all the flowers and trees had almost doubled in growth overnight. Things that had been nothing more then a sprouts just days before, where now full blown flowers and trees. Vines and even weeds had seemed to wind and twist their way up the sides of buildings, fencing, whatever they could wrap themselves around. This... couldn't be normal could it??

He sniffed, cautiously at the nearest flower. Nothing... seemed different. Aside from the rapid growth, they still looked the same. Smelt the same. It was... by all accounts, it was still a plant.

But this didn't make sense.... Ezra had said that there had been heavy rain storms lately... But that shouldn't have mattered much.. Should it?? The pollen as well.. A high pollen count... wouldn't that just mean that the humans allergies were just going haywire??? Though that would explain why Ezra had been sneezing up a storm last night... Airi had to stop and shake, scratching at his own fur. Ugh... Even the thought of being covered in pollen wanted to make him start sneezing like crazy.

Maybe he wouldn't visit right away... Just in case he was covered in pollen himself. Maybe there was still a water source around, perhaps he could wash himself off first???

He rounded the corner, passing an empty produce stand. Airi gave a small shutter. Oof... Now there was a thought. He'd hate to see what any gardens looked like. He wondered if those were affected as well. If trees and flowers had almost doubled in size then who was to say that fruits and vegetables hadn't either. A weird one he didn't need or feel like seeing any time soon...

With a sigh, he ducked down an alleyway. Oh god even the roots here had taken over dumpsters and the bricks of the surrounding buildings. Okay this was beginning to get just the slightest bit creepy. Even by his standards. He stopped at any puddle he came across and tried to watch as much pollen as he intentionally could from his fur. The sooner he got back to the house, the better. Thank god he had the collar, other wise this would be a much more difficult task.

Ducking out of the alley, he sprinted up the nearest street before ducking around another corner. Despite everything though. He had to admit. The flowers were rather pleasant to look at. He wondered what the boys thought of the flowers. He wondered if they had even seen them yet.

Maybe they would like some???

Well, aside from Ezra's allergies anyway.

He gingerly nipped at the stems of some flowers, and continued on. As he passed different colors, different types, he'd collect more as he went. Eventually his little collection was a hefty bouquet of color. He gave a soft snort. So much for being pollen free. Oh Well.
