Veravita is the culmination of two (or three if you want to consider her matrilineal line) great and terrible wizarding lines. Her mother, Drisella, was the daughter of Rodolphus Lestrange and his wife Bellatrix Lestrange (nee Black). Due to their involvement in the wizarding wars as Bellatrix's general disposition, Drisella was fostered with another wizarding family - the Rosiers. The Rosier family was on Bellatrix's side from her mother so she was still with extended family as she grew up; by that logic though any child in any of the pureblood families would be with family in another pureblood line. Fostering the Drisella with the Rosier's also quieted any remorse that she was not born from Rodolphus given that The Dark Lord seemed to be found enough of Bellatrix herself. So as Bellatrix and her husband Rodolphus fought alongside the Dark Lord, eventually going to Azkaban and dying for their loyalty, Drisella was safely raised in the Rosier household.
Given the climate and Drisella's background, when the time came, the Rosier's pulled some strings and she was educated in Durmstrange. It was a school that was known for not allowing muggle born witches or wizards. It was also known to favor the Dark Arts which was why the Rosier's believed that Drisella was better educated there while - especially once Harry Potter started school. When Drisella was nearly of age (16 years old) she was married to one of their sons; Cyrus. After years of trying for children with no success the blame was laid at Drisella's feet. After all her own mother had only produced one child. This pressure lead Drisella and her husband (Rosier) into traveling to America. Though the relationship was never a loving one it did improve while they were away from the main family. Which lead to the union bringing about Veravita in the year 2000 just two years after the final falling of the Dark Lord himself.

Veravita (Faith in life) was given the middle name of Bella in remembrance of her maternal grandmother Bellatrix. When Veravita was young her father Cyrus worked as a senior secretary of finance with MACUSA. At the time MACUSA was located inside of the Woolworth building; magically separated but that was the position. September 11th, 2001 was a time of great upheaval as the Woolworth building was a location from which a rocket was fired into the World Trade Building. The nomaj believed that the attack was purely terrorist based and in part they were right, only the terrorism was reflected in a magical sense as well. A second failed rising of Death Eaters (much like was seen years prior) had sparked up in New York City. As the United States of America had stayed separated from the non magical society far longer than most European Nations, there was still a lot of discord between the two worlds. This overflowed into the 9/11 event. MACUSA had been put under seige at the same time; rampaged within by those who wanted complete separation once more. During their reign of terror on that day as they swept through the floors of the MACUSA building, many lives were lost. Her family identified themselves as a loyal branch of Rosier and Lestrange and were spared.
Unfortunately one of the younger Aurors, whom had lost family in that failed coup, overhead them and came after them a few years later. Off the books of course. Veravita was five years old and out to lunch with her mother and father when the Auror finally came to take revenge. They hadn’t needed to disarm her parents as there hadn’t been wands drawn. The Auror pulled a muggle gun on them and shot them in the head before disapperating. Veravita was quiet and went into shock. She stayed mute for years afterwards as she moved around different extended families. She started talking, quietly, by the time she was ten years old but never in the presence of a muggle/nomaj. Veravita blamed the nonmagical world for her parents death. To her it was a muggle that had killed her parents. It wasn’t until years after the event that she remembered them disapperating. At which point it wasn’t just non-magic people that she hated and feared - those witches and wizards born from non-magical lineage were also evil to her. A viewpoint that her relatives did little or nothing to correct.
Once her years to be formally educated came around the family decided to foster her two years at a time. This meant that she was educated in three different countries and three schools in total - Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. She learned a range of subjects and languages at the time. Eventually she discovered that she was good with nonverbal spells, specifically legilimency and obscuring techniques. While at school it was decided that it was best she not mention that her mother was a Lestrange due to the great stigmatism around her mother's maiden name. Though most Rosier’s had also been Death Eaters it was still the lesser of two evils to identify with in the Wizarding World. With not many direct descendants left after the two wizarding wars, she could press a claim of inheritance to both if she wanted.
Once she graduated and turned 17 she gained a position in the Ministry as an Obliviator. Her skills at such earned her more prestige as time went on. She was one of the quickest to make a name for herself and eventually earned a place in the International Confederation of Wizards as an expert oblivator and practicer of Legilimency by the time she was almost twenty-three. For the last year she has traveled between different magical communities, sifting through information in people’s heads before making them forget what they knew, upon commission from the International Confederation of Wizards.
What people didn’t realize is that her hatred of the non magical world had only festered beneath the surface - hidden by polite smiles and silence. To her the non-magical world and the secrecy laws were why her parents had died. Which was why she had been subtly altering memories of the non-magical world to be bad in all of the people she was meant to interrogate before wiping. It was during one of these latest trips in the last year that she met the man called “The Savior”. It was a pretentious name to be sure but she figured as long as it was used to inspire the magical world to rise up against its oppression and degradation then that was fine. Even after getting to know him she continued to work for the ICW as an Obliviator; wolf in sheep’s clothing and all of that.
