Pack Beliefs/Ways of Life/Culture
Beliefs/Colors:Power is key within Sin's Embrace. These wolves believe that power is everything and live to prove that its both who you know and what you know that will get you farther in life. Softness is weakness and anyone who is weak is not fit to set paw upon the earth and should be either dominated or eradicated. Most common and normal ideals, such as wanting to protect another or loving another, are skewed and viewed more as to bring out ones potential or to provide for the pack.
Sins Embrace hold a curious belief that the color of one's fur represents their power and sway towards corruption. Black is seen as the most powerful color, "Void Touched" or "Shadow Touched". Black wolves or those who are almost all black are seen as as close to darkness as one can get and generally more sinister of mind and evil of will.
White wolves are seen as an almost polar opposite and some might wonder why they are even accepted at all. However, Sin's Embrace has a spin on its beliefs of white fur. White is seen as being devoid of a soul or moral compass. A more mold-able creature who can be bent and shaped to the packs will and design.
Those who have a mix of white/black fur are seen as a mix of both categories. Their personalities tend to lean more towards whichever color fur is most prevalent though there are also those who simply have found a 'balance' between the two and can be whatever the pack needs them to be at any given time. Grey wolves also fall into this category under the idea that their personality is a mix of sinister yet devoid of morality.
There are occasions where a white wolf leans more towards 'sinister' and a black more towards 'devoid'. These wolves are not seen as oddities or shunned for opposite believes and still welcome within the more elite ranks
Dyes: Dyes are sometimes a touchy subject within the pack. While it's not outright forbidden, brighter, more 'happy colors' (bright blues, pinks, greens) might be seen as weakness. Dark colors such as dark reds and burnt oranges are more favored dye color as it can be seen as representing things that embody ideals such as anger or rage or even fire/flames. Dark purples, darker blues and darker greens in small amounts are also accepted without much thought or second glance.
Names:Sin's Embrace does not hold any strict naming regulations, though if a wolf is born into the pack and named something deemed soft (I.E. Petal Dance), they may be frowned upon and given a 'False Name' that they are referred as.
Mating/Pups:Mating is views as a simple means of bolstering and strengthening the pack. Some see it as fun and some see it as a duty to provide fresh blood for the pack. A wolf may have one mate or several without fear of punishment or disapproval. The only 'rules' are that those at the lowest rank are forbidden to breed with Division wolves or higher. A division or elite wolf may choose to breed to a low ranked wolf however it is highly frowned upon and usually done in secret or with open knowledge that its simply to provide more numbers for the pack. Depending on the situation and the pup's colors, it may be instantly elevated to Elite where it will grow, train and perhaps prove itself to be promoted even farther.
Females may breed with a wolf outside the pack but the pups must be born into the pack to be determined if worthy of color/status or simply more numbers for the forces.
Males may breed out side the pack but may be required to bring the pups for inspection upon Alpha/Sin request if one or more is believed to be worthy or accepted colors.
New Members:Punishment/Containment:Within the pack's borders is an area sectioned off for those who either break the rules or arouse suspicion and distrust within the pack. This area is heavily guarded by the containment division and any familiars they might have. Food is purposefully kept scarce and punishment is given depending on the severity of the crime. Time spend in containment depends on the wolf's willingness to admit wrong and submit. Wolf may be granted back into its previous rank or demoted until higher rank is earned again.
Familiars:Crows/Ravens are the favored familiars for Sin's Embrace, with bears and rarely raccoons (begrudgingly) accepted. Hares and deer are not permitted and any brought onto pack grounds is considered free food.
Crows/Ravens are seen as keen intelligent creatures that can provide a literal birds eye view for the hunting, patrol and scouting divisions.
Bears are sometimes favored by the defense group and the containment divisions as enforcers or brutes to bolster strength.
Raccoons may rarely be used by the healing division as their use of thumbs come in handy for gathering needed supplies and aiding in treatment of injured or sick.
