It's a longstanding tradition that cast and crew (but mostly crew) get to scrounge the set on strike day for little momentos and props to keep as sounvenirs. Sometimes the things people keep can be pretty bizarre....any stories?

I have kept things! I have an arrow, huge menu, poppy flower that stands up... nothing too peticlar though... one of my friends has a whole shelf of show props and things from a big corn kernel, to a large banner.

I did it for every show in middle school. I took posters, props, costume pieces, you know anything. I stopped in high school untill we did Les Miserables. I took a poster and a piece of the barricade.
Items: Poster, Cast Photo, Sherrif Badge, Tickets, Magic Moo Goo Box (Dont ask...that show sucked.), Les Miserables poster, Barricade piece.

I have a pink rose I got from brigadoon, we did climbing ivy and climbing roses on the front of the church. I remember the TD, my best friend and I basiclly did it all we were there till like 10:00 the night before the show.
I also have plastic yard signs used to advertise two shows I did.
Beyond that stuff and scars I got on shows i don't think I have much left from the shows I did.

From my last production, I took a few ad posters and a few prop posters. Other than that, all the other set peices were kept.
OH, and I still have the purple fishnets I used.

I have a habit of picking up scrap fabric from shows. Pretty much every show where we had to tear something up or where I made a costume: Quilters, Fiddler on the Roof, The Honorable Urashima Taro, Anne of Green Gables, Hello Dolly, Song of Survival, Mister Roberts, the list goes on.
I also kept my wedding ring from when I was Mrs. Rogers in Ten Little Indians.

I have a tooth from the Audrey II that fell off the plant, and a concertina, walrus puppet, and pocket watch from Carnival. I only took the pocket watch because it has a picture of a big truck on it and I had to read something on it in the show, but I always wanted to say "This doesn't say anything, it just has a truck on it" and show everyone in the audience. I also have plenty of costume pieces, but everyone takes those.

Damn Yankees - Stole a "We Love Joe Hardy" sign
Zombie Prom - Stole a "Zombie Rights" sign as well as all the glow sticks from all the nights that we used in the last song.
A Midsummer Night's Dream - The director let me keep my fairy wand... which I LOVE.
Plus I have all the programs from every show I've ever been in. Some of which are signed by most of the cast.

i kept the poppet from the Crucible, since it was made to look like my character. I also kept the mask from the greek play we did

I have a GIANT wooden ivy-thing from Can-Can, part of 'my wall' from Bernarda Alba, and...that's it.

From Beauty and the Beast I have a piece of the roof of Belle's house, signed by the crew and some friends from the cast. From Aida I have a lacing cord and cleat taken from the panels of the museum walls (which I had to lace and un-lace in a 7-sec scene shift) and a piece from one of the platforms that were in Strongest Suit. heart

We can't keep anything unless we loaned it...so, everyone saves a program (which are lovely since I make them ^^).

A rubber chicken, a skeleton leg and a rather torn doctor's certificate.
That's just from the show that wrapped up.
In the past, I've taken dentures, garters, wallpaper, and a 2 by four.
