Quote: In the warm summer nights, little glowing lights begin to bob and dart through the city. Fireflies are mating, so this isn't uncommon in itself; in the past few days you've probably seen hundreds of fireflies. What makes these lights so unique is that they seem to change color; you might see an orange one, a green one, a red one. They flicker randomly, and something just seems off with them. If you come into contact with one, you will find yourself with a strange electric jolt. They cannot be caught, and will flicker away if you pursue too aggressively. What are they, and what are they doing? --And where are they going? No matter how quickly you chase them, they always seem to disappear before you can find any answers. She'd been watching them for a while now. Several attempts to capture them at failed miserably and now the young woman sat off to the side upon a park bench. Leaning forward, she'd steepled her hands under her chin and promptly rested it against them. A furrowed brow decorated her features and her lips had pursed into a thin line as she regarded the conundrum that lay before her.
All in all she was a puzzle among the street lights that lined the walkways of the park. A single figure in an otherwise quiet area where the bulk of the activity tended to happen during the day.
Well, she'd done weirder things in her time over the last few weeks so all in all this was rather normal... If only she had some company to soundboard some ideas off of, maybe they'd figure out how to grab these things without getting zapped!

Deciding to take off time from her duties as a Senshi to enjoy the Star Festival for the first time since moving to Destiny City, it wasn't long before Connie was able to notice all of the weird things that started happening around town. She had started to wondered if only powered people even noticed, but maybe they where just the only one who cared. Not that she knew many people in both forms either..
She sighed and dismissed her thoughts as she stunk along behind a few dancing fireflies. In her hands were two folded paper cups she had made in an attempt to not be shocked by the little bugs. She didn't know if it would work or not but she thought it was worth a try!
As Connie made her way along, she noticed another girl near by. Looking like she wasn't doing anything important, she called to her in hopes she would help. "Hey! Can you come help me corner these bugs!" Epine de Rose Ack, hope that's ok! Dx I was gonna have her catch them first but this pulls your girl in faster. XD <3

Connie and Liliane were at least on common ground when it came to not knowing the identities of any senshi they might have known. Liliane only knew a limited number of senshi as it was and yet even then, the only 'identity' she knew was the Mauvian who had woken her up. To be fair to him he hadn't exactly hidden it anyway, he'd been quite generous in helping her work out what her powers even did.
Read; they did basically nothing.
Nevertheless, even if she had been in a powered form it was likely that the red head would probably have been doing the same thing. The intervention was timely on Connie's part, and given her direct address, Lily was forced to look up in response. Greeted by the sight of the other girl and what appeared to be cups.
Had she heard that right, was she also trying to catch them?
Lily squinted briefly, but rather than question the motives she simply rose to her feet and moved towards Connie. Placing her hands behind her head she peered towards the cups and had to concede that that might work out better than her palms. Why hadn't she thought of that exactly? She was supposed to be about creative problem solving, that was the entire purpose of a portion of her degree!
"You're trying too?" she asked and tilted her head to the side; she even afforded a glance towards a firefly as it meandered passed her. "I was trying but everytime I gave it a whirl they kept zapping me. My fingers weren't keen on the idea of trying again."
Another pause.
"I didn't even know fireflies could do that, I don't remember them doing it when I was little. Either that or I was shockproof when I seven."anime_girl10 xD No this is great, sometimes the simpler answers are lost on Lily so that's perfect!

Connie laughed a bit, "Right? I don't think that's normal but...I don't know, maybe they're man made? Like GMOs?", then a real laugh. She wondered if that was even possible. Then again, she guessed anything could be in this city. "I'm hoping this little cups would work but.." Connie raised her hand, showing off the origami paper cups, tapping the halves together. "The crumple if I'm too hasty, but I brought loads of paper this time if you want me to make you some too?" Epine de Rose Uggh I'm so sorry about the wait, I thought my reply had sent but I guess the computer ate it and then I was stolen away for the weekend. So here's a crap response instead. gonk

"What, like little drone robots?" Adorea was suddenly intrigued as she regarded the fireflies with renewed interest. The prospect of getting a closer look for that reason was more than enough of a reason for her to hold out a hand and beckon. She'd be taking one of those cups, more realistically probably a good few, and she would be catching these little buggers.
At the very least, she needed to work out how and why they had zapped her like they did.
"Well based on the fact there's two of us, our chances just got a little higher," she said with a wry smile. "Let's give this a whirl and see if we can't get to the bottom of this one, eh?"anime_girl10 No worries at all! Life gets everyone including me, I'm patient when it comes to tags. x3

Connie couldn't help but crack a smile, glad to get someone else on board. She handed over the cups and went to work on making some more. Wondering how they would even go about this. Surely she was right and it would be easier but this little suckers were already proving to be a pain in the butt. "Do we have a game plan?" She laughed. Epine de Rose Thank you for wanting to continue anyway! ;; <3 lol

"I never really have a real plan," Lily admitted as she weighed the cups in her palms. Unsurprisingly there was little to them, constructed from paper as they were. However they were better than nothing and if she could at the very least catch them carefully then she might be able to inspect them without smacking one between both palms.
"I just kind of wing it...?" she added and then shook her head. So if she understood this correctly, in theory she had to be delicate because the cups would break and previous sudden movements had resulted in failure.
"I guess go slow?" she wrinkled her nose. "Awful sounding idea but maybe if we get it just right they'll just kind of fly into the empty space?" she gave an example, moving in slow motion to very carefully place the two ends of the cups together with space in between for their soon-to-be-captured Drone-thing.
...It was definitely a terrible idea but she was out of options, short of finding jam jars and trapping them anyway, but she had no idea where to get mostly empty jam jars from at this time of night anyway!

Connie gave a thoughtful nod. "Slow and steady wins the race, right?" she asked jokingly before starting at their task. It was like trying to solve a puzzle, or being a bug themselves, weaving back and forth aimlessly. Times where Connie thought she caught one but didn't or had to stop cold in her tracks because another would just stop blinking all together. It felt like forever before she was trying to get one to make it's way to Lily so they could corner one. "O-Oh! This one..!" Connie whispered loudly, as if breathing too hard would make it disappear.

"Shhhh!" Lily seemed similarly excited and obviously had to do the cliche thing of making sure that Connie didn't spook their target. Not that she was entirely sure bugs could theoretically hear anything, she wasn't an expert in them and if they didn't have ears she wasn't aware of it. It was better to be safe than sorry though, right? These little things were already so hard to catch that if they heard the pair then they'd run!
...it didn't occur to her that they were both massive in comparison to the lightning bugs and it was very, very hard to miss the pair of them in the midst of their own antics.
Still, being a good team player required her to creep alongside Connie, lifting one cup very carefully from one side so that she could close the distance and coax it inside. Connie would have to close out the other one and then maybe they'd have their bug, right? Then they could examine it a bit more closely.
She certainly wasn't the smartest person Connie would ever meet, that was for sure.

Connie worked along side Lily until finally, they had one caught, a bright blinking from within the cup was telling, though it seemed to stop suddenly. She also suddenly didn't know what their plan was in the excitement of it all, as they had nothing to keep the bugs in besides these cups..not that Connie really thought it would be a good idea anyway, at least night more than a night. "S-Should we peek?" She asked in a whispered, hoping the little bug inside wasn't too panicked. Though unknown to them it had actually disappeared all together.

She couldn't believe that had worked, and to be entirely honest, it probably shouldn't have. Nevertheless, there they both stood with one cup each and a lightning bug inside it. Or that was how things should have gone, they would be in for a shock when they opened these cups up and discovered that their little captive had somehow disappeared.
"Very carefully," she nodded, holding her cup as steady as possible as she lowered herself slightly to get a better look. "If we do it together, maybe it'll have settled on one side like other bugs do?" she mused. That was normally what happened when they caught wasps and bees, they landed for a bit and waited until they could take their leave again.
...it might be enough time for them to get a good look at the thing.
She'd be delighted if it was a drone.
"On three, ok?" she cleared her throat.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three!"
