With the prevalence for star based shenanigans, it seems an overenthusiastic participant has taken to placing stickers on the foreheads of any animal they can find. A number of cats, dogs, rodents--anything they could get their hands on--is now donning a shimmery star sticker in the center of their foreheads. The cats almost perfectly resemble Mauvians; they have no aura, and no ability to speak, but that doesn’t mean the average person knows it. Good Samaritans have taken to trying to peel the stickers off of their foreheads--which is generally appreciated, unless they accidentally find a Mauvian. But then, most of the people who know about Mauvians are powered; do they know them well enough to tell the difference between them and an unfortunate cat? And how are Mauvians responding to these unwilling imposters?

She'd almost dropped it on the way home; actually she had dropped it and had only discovered it after her transformation had been completed. It was for this reason that Sailor Adorea happened to have the violet star charm attached to one of her rear ribbons at this particular moment in time. Granted it wasn't the safest place to put it and it might fall off again, but as it stood it was the only place that she could set it without it looking even more out of place than normal.

She could have gone back to her house, set the charm down and so on, but she'd already left and when it came to her patrols she had settled into a routine that often meant that she started as she meant to go on. She was going to go out, she was going to finish up her patrols and keep the city safe (well, safe-ish) and then she would return home with that sense of satisfaction she only managed to get when she was actually useful.

She'd already made her way towards the quieter streets, they were likely to be patrolled by others but she was going slightly better at detecting those who didn't necessarily 'fit in'. Those signatures that Arthur had taught her about were beginning to make sense and as a consequence she felt confident enough to know that she might be able to make a swift exit if she needed to.

Yep, she was proud enough to say she could maybe detect a Negaverse agent now!

Nevertheless as her night continued in a largely uneventful manner she was beginning to suspect that maybe her night was going to be quieter than she wanted. Was there something else she could be doing or -

...And then the cat with yet another star charm stuck to its forehead wandered passed.

She wasn't sure who had come up with this fad but she had a sneaking suspicion that it probably wasn't good for the cat's health, particularly if it was a case of mistaken identity and someone on the wrong side got hold of them. No, it was better for her to remove that charm once she coaxed the feline closer; and so that was how Adorea came to be creeping after a cat that evening. Cooing and clicking in the hopes that maybe it would make her life easier.

If she couldn't save a person, she might as well save an innocent cat, right?
