After being sealed away on Earth at the end of the Silver Millenium, Pyper has finally woken up as your normal average cat. She was found wandering the streets, and taken in by a loving couple that own a bar in town called Heartbreak. Pyper is blind in her right eye. It was assumed that she had gotten into a fight with another animal. As far as Pyper remembers, she’s always been this way, and has no trouble getting around. Her owners have taken a liking to dressing her up, and letting her wander both inside the bar and outside the building freely. Pyper never wanders far, as her humans give her food and all the love she could possibly need.

One evening, as the sun was setting...

The neon sign outside the bar flickered and buzzed to life as Pyper sat on the sidewalk directly beneath it. She watched the customers enter and exit. Each time the door opened a bell would jingle and Pyper would immediately greet the person or persons with a loud “meow!”. She would often be rewarded with a pat on the head or a smile. The regulars loved her, and would occasionally bring her treats.

But as the sun was setting, and bar life was starting to pick up, Pyper was about to head back inside. Out of the corner of her good eye, she saw something fluttering towards the neon ‘Heartbreak’ sign. She looked up, staring with curiosity as a little moth flew by, heading directly for the light. It bounced against the sign, and fell to the grown, landing at Pyper’s paws. She couldn’t resist batting at the tiny bug. She watched it flip and flop around, until it finally righted itself and flew again into the air.

As the moth fluttered away, Pyper felt the urge to chase it. She bounced after it, following it all the way back behind the building. In the back alley, it took off into the shadows near a large dumpster. Pyper meowed in disappointment. But as she turned to leave, having given up, the dumpster shuddered, making a terrible sound. Something large was hiding behind it!

Pyper froze, terrified by the sound and movement of the giant trash bin. As the bin shuddered a second time, a large shadow rose into the air. A giant moth-like creature rose from its resting place; flapping its giant wings. The gush of air blew past Pyper, awakening something within her. “No….” she whispered her first word. She blinked once. A spark lit up in her eyes, and she recalled something. She was no ordinary cat! She was from Mau. She was supposed to be awakening senshi to fight Chaos!

“That’s right, I-” She was cut off as another, stronger gust of wind from the creature’s wings blew her backward. She tumbled along the ground, bumping into the wall of the building. She knew she had to do something, but being alone she didn’t have a lot of options.

The moth flew up into the air, drawn to the city lights. Pretty soon it was just a spot in the distance. Pyper let out a sigh of relief. It hadn’t caused any immediate damage. But if she didn’t find a senshi to get rid of it soon, who knew what might happen.
