The rules!

When I was a kid I used to walk around with my mother collecting leaves and flowers to make bookmarks with. We'd flatten the flowers in a book and then lay them out on some tape, cover with more tape and then trim to make it look nice. It was fairly simple but a fun way to get outside and spend time in nature and with my mother.

YOU are going to be doing the same thing here. Though you're able to use cardboard or any other materials as a base for your bookmark.

The bookmark you make MUST have plants or flowers in it. You may use other items as decoration in it (like string) if you like.

This will be based on creativity, the person with the most creative bookmark will win first choice! The remaining prizes will be raffled among the other entries.

Description: I used our flowers from the porch- we had a rainstorm come through and it gave the hibiscus quite a beating, so I collected one loose petal from each pot, and some of the shed petals from our geranium while picking the dead flowers off. I pressed the petals for a good week and arranged them on a piece of white card stock. They discolored during the process but I kind of like the way they turned out. The bead and yarn tassel were grabbed from my craft bin.

(added my name & date of creation just in case to confirm that I did indeed make it ^_^)

Description: I knew I wanted to use buttercups & daisies, so those were the ones I picked from my garden, I also knew that I had some Cicely Mary Barker flower fairy images in my papercraft stash & decided I wanted to add one as a cutout 'holding' the dried flowers. The base of the bookmark is cardstock, covered in some paper & I decorated the bookmark with cream paper doilies & a couple of Machin postage stamps

edit: Only eligible for a familiar now

Description: Pansies and ferns. I wanted to use hibiscus but they are too wet to dry properly. I want to make some bookmarks for my friends but after the time I spent working on these I decided I wanted to give it to my mom and my mother in law. These were very challenging to make with familial tremors. I definitely broke a couple flowers with my shakes. I opted to make a much simpler second bookmark, since I spent an hour on the first one, getting it into an arrangement that I liked. XD

Description: I used fake flowers as I currently don't have access to live plants. I wanted to make a bookmark I would actually use so looked around dollar tree for some stickers I liked then choose flowers that I thought would help make a scene.
