She still hadn't come to terms with everything she had learned so far; it was a lot to take in and the senshi was still adjusting to the fact that in the grand scheme of things she wasn't exactly impressive. For the Senshi of Optimism she wasn't really living up to that name at the moment...
Perhaps it was due to the fact that when she had discovered she was magical she had expected more than just being able to smile? She could do that at any point in the day and quite frankly, it would have had much the same impact as what she could do with her gifts. Suffice to say that the bigger and broader picture was lost on the senshi at the moment, the value of her abilities still to be discovered.
A support based gift could only be used to support allies and as of yet, she hadn't found those.
Arthur had advised her that she would need to look for signals, weaker pulses than his when he had revealed himself, but still something noticable and familiar. Taking note of this, she had finally taken a breath and left her home that evening. She'd sought a more secluded area to transform, in the event it failed and she ended up naked or something to that affect, and only when she was sure it had worked had she stepped out to 'patrol' as Arthur had called it.
She had kept away from the busier areas, anywhere that might risk her being spotted, and instead she had continued to wander through the quieter and more dimly lit streets. She'd chosen the industrial district to start with and it was a chance for her to get used to the less than pleasant areas. After all, the industrial area was safe, it just looked creepy right?
Little did she know that this evening her little pulse of energy might very well have attracted some unwanted attention. The Youma that she had never known to exist until her encounter with Arthur were sure to greet her this evening and isolated as she was within this industrial complex, it was unlikely she was going to get out of it unscathed... Tolin Kalin Babies first battle, we can let her be beaten up pretty badly if we have to (just so long as she can manage to get home)!

It was indeed a dangerous proposition to power up in the city...who knew what might be attracted to the aura of a senshi. In fact, it didn't take long before something came to investigate the delicious feel of order energy. The creature itself wasn't terribly threatening looking, all told. In fact, it looked rather like a slightly oversized corgi. The main difference being it had a bit of a glowing aura about it, glowing eyes, and was a combination of black and dark purple in coloration. As it came into view of the senshi, it sniffed the air twice, and stared at her for a few seconds, just long enough to provide a sense of not-terribly-threateningness before it gave a very unpleasant howl, accompanied by its mouth opening up much larger than it really should, practically splitting the head all the way back to hits neck. Then it charged. Epine de Rose x.x I'm so sorry I let this sit for so long! I was out of it for RPs for a bit there...but I should be able to respond pretty quick now. I don't remember exactly what we'd discussed before... I think it was random youma here, she fights it a bit, and then Nix turns up to help her, right? After that maybe a training RP or something~

It had all seemed very ordinary. The city and its denizens had been normal, nothing had been out of place, and all things considered it had looked like she had gotten away with her transformation. The alleyway probably hadn't been the best of choices but given the other alternatives it might have been one of the only options she had.
...Were there even safe havens to power-up safely?
Nevertheless it was clear that the senshi had spoken too soon given that something had found her. At first she hadn't necessarily though anything of it, but as the corgi had gotten closer there were several things that appeared to be amiss. The first being that it was a pedigree and out of place, the second being its size.
It said a lot in regards to how her brain processed certain information given the glowing aura, the glowing eyes and the unusual colouration were after thoughts. They only became an immediate cause for concern when the mouth opened just a little too wide for her to be comfortable and then it lunged at her.
"Oh fudge -"
She'd give herself kudos later, she'd felt more inclined to say a hell of a lot more, but for now all she could do was dive out of the way into another alleyway. It was one that she didn't stay in though, choosing to sprint to the otherside and back into the open in the hopes that something along the way might grand her inspiration and help her against whatever that thing was.
"Oh god oh god oh god oh - PIPE!"
Not that she could use it, but the portion of metal that had been abandoned by the dumpster might prove useful for something once she'd stopped running and had more than half a second to consider how best to get rid of the thing behind her. For now though, running seemed like the best option, even if yelling for help was most certainly not one.
She'd eventually remember that her phone worked as some sort of device of signal for help.
Eventually, but not right now.Tolin Kalin "Fight" being a loose term, I think she was supposed to be terrible at it. xD Nix and Castor are probably going to despair at how useless she is. I didn't want her to be awesome at anything until she had some training so she could become moderately functional.

Somewhere nearby...well, nearby-ish, Nix was doing a post-workout stretch, which, being the slightly over the top boy he was, involved doing a one-handed hand stand on the corner of a tall building, eyes closed, and listening to the sounds of cars and such. And, as he did that, he realized he felt on the edge of his awareness a moving aura. Two, in fact. That wasn't terribly uncommon, all told, there were a fair few around. They were moving, and it was definitely an Order and a Chaos aura moving along near one another. A bit too far to tell what was chasing what--though he figured it was probably a chase. For now, he waited, not knowing exactly what was going on, and figuring there was a good chance the Order person--who ever they were--would win, since it wasn't a terribly strong presence nearby. Still. In a moment he'd flip back upright, and go see what was going on. He was too curious of a person not to. While Nix pulled off a needlessly dramatic maneuver of flipping and then dropping down off the building, well out of sight or hearing of most anyone, Corgi-Monster closed in on the fleeing senshi, oversized mouth snapping at her heels as it went. Chomp. Snarl! CHOMP. While it wasn't managing to sink its teeth in, it was awfully close as it chased after her, clearly not bothering to consider things like strategy or dangerous pipes in hand. If things didn't change soon, the monster would get a hold of the girl's foot, and running would get a whole lot weirder, at the very least.

Adorea was going to have to commit to this.
She'd never bludgeoned an animal to death before but if she didn't do something soon she'd be the one getting bludgeoned. She didn't know much about the youma with the exception of the fact they definitely didn't hold back and would kill a human; she would have put money on the fact they wouldn't hold back on her either.
Unaware of the 'blip' on her mental radar, she was oblivious to Nix's arrival and he would be able to stay undetected for now. With the corgi focused on her, it didn't appear to have noticed him either (or maybe it just recognised the easier target).
"Ok," she murmured breathly as she quietly counted down.
"One - two..."
"THREE!" She spun round, arm raised and made to slam the pipe down on the youma's nose as forcefully as she could muster. If she was even given half an opportunity to do more then adrenaline might allow her to do more.
She'd have her very minor breakdown after when she came to terms with the fact she'd battered an 'animal' to death...

The Corgi-Monster’s oversized jaw swung open as it noticed its quarry slowing slightly, heedless of the reason why. It would bite. It would feed. But then the pipe came down, and, somewhat horrifyingly, part of its snout burst into dust as the jaws chomped on it in reaction...though it immediately was flung away with a noise that was a strange mixture of a hurt dog and some eldritch abomination baying for blood. It landed with an audible thud and a crunch...though whether that was the Youma, or what it landed on, wasn’t entirely obvious. It started rocking back upright almost immediately, in spite of the missing chunk. Around that moment was when Nix finally turned up...and dropped down from above to land next to Adorea, hands and froggy feet spread out for landing balance. “Hey, looks like you got a good hit on it!” he said, giving her a quick thumbs up and a grin. “But would you like a hand anyway?”

"Oh my god I just killed a dog!" Adorea sounded horrified as she clung to the pipe in her hand.
...Except she hadn't killed it, not at all. Solid as her hit had been that youma had found its way back to its feet and was now missing, well, a segment of itself. Despite this there were elements that still looked like that dog, it still half sounded like a dog and for all intents and purposes her brain was having a tough time accepting the truth.
It was not a dog.
I would never be a dog.
Also it was going to eat her if she didn't do something else, you know, like smack it harder.
Fortunately that was when the much more seasoned senshi showed up and with his impromptu compliment she was knocked out of her stupor. It was just enough to turn her focus to him and after her brain had at least processed his words, she gave a wordless nod. Yep, yes, absolutely; she could definitely go for some help on this one, especially if he knew what he was doing.

Nix eyed the other senshi a brief moment, and nodded. "Okay, stay back, I've got this," he declared, and stepped in front of her. Not a moment too soon, either, as the youma chose that moment to leap at her again...although this time it was interrupted by a giant, translucent frog tongue, which slammed it right out of the air, and into a wall behind it. A moment later, it burst into dust. Nix nodded, and turned back to her. "Looks like you got it pretty good already," he said lightly, then turned more serious as he asked, "Are you okay?"

Huh - so she got a smile for a piece of magic and this guy got a tongue. Well it was a frog tongue, but it was still significantly more useful than her abilities were and she did have to raise a brow just a touch. Hell, whatever that tongue was made of (magic obviously) it had just done a number on her most assuredly dead corgi.
...At least she didn't think a corgi could come back from dust.
Unsurprisingly she continued to gaze at him for a few moments with a perturbed expression on her features before she was finally able to get her mouth to work again.
"I just killed a dog," she replied. "A ghost dog," she added.
Clearly she was still new to this whole thing and evidently, the destruction of youma once they were defeated was still very much lost on her.
"Actually you did, I just abused it..." she amended with a more strangled tone.

"Well, yeah," Nix replied, nodding. "We did take it out...and that was, erm, a rather cute Youma, honestly. Most of the time they're a bit more horrifying than that...and trust me when I say, that was not a dog." He nodded emphatically at that, and then pulled out of the air a sealed juice bottle. "Drink?" he offered. "I'm Nix, by the way," he added as he held it out. "Glad I could help!"

"Oh right, yes," she blinked and quickly shook her head to bring herself back into focus. "You are owed a thank you, this probably would have ended very differently otherwise," she admitted and quickly cast her eyes towards the wall where the youma had been dusted.
"Um... I'm Adorea," she added and took a breath.
"So you're saying most of them aren't going to look like I need to work out where their home is and return them to the garden they sprung out of?" she pursed her lips and flicked her gaze back to him as he offered her the bottle.
"I think I'm ok for now," she hazarded a smile.
"Not sure about the next time, might need more than a juice bottle to recover," she added, the initial shock wearing off slowly but surely. "Although you don't seem bothered by them at all...You do this a lot?"

“Nice to meet you, Adorea,” Nix replied with a smile. “I...do kinda do this a lot, yeah,” he admitted with a nod. “Though, I know some others like to go out and seek these things as much as they can. I spend a lotta time working with other senshis—and the knights, too—to help ‘em be better at it.” “We can train together too, if you’d like,” He offered with a grin, and gave a thumbs up. “Figure out how to best use your magic, work on the whole,” he waved a hand around, “Jumping and running faster thing, fighting, whatever works.”

He was on her level; well power wise he was way above her but she got his vibe. To be honest, this was the exactly what she needed. Sure he was younger than her but his experience far outweighed her's and he clearly had the whole superpower thing down so if there was anyone who could help show her the ropes, it'd be him.
"You're not going to ask me to punch you, are you?" she hazarded cautiously.
She'd had the help of another far more experience senshi as well and he'd been quite adamant that she not hide behind etiquette. Her fist had somewhat disagreed with her on that one and it had pulsed for a while after. Nevertheless he'd given her some insight and she was trying to practice what he'd told her, she just wasn't particular adept at it. Practice might have made perfect but having a hand's on adventure could help as well.
"That would be really helpful," she finally pulled herself out of her internal 'despair' and offered a warm smile to the senshi. "Running up a wall would be pretty cool," she admitted and motioned to the roof above her. "I never thought I'd get in to parkour but apparently we're supposed to be good at it?"
"Anything would be ideal!"
She paused briefly and rubbed the back of her neck.
"Though maybe we can avoid parks for now? I keep running in to vampires out there and they're immune to garlic."

Nix’s brow quirked and he smirked. “Well, I mean, if we were gonna work on fighting, then yeah, I’d want you to punch me. Or try to, anyway.” He laughed. “But no, I’m not a masochist or anything.” “Running up a wall is pretty cool,” he agreed with a grin and a nod. “But usually it’s easier to just, ya know, jump up it. I dunno how much you’ve tried, but we can do some pretty good jumps now, even if most people aren’t Frog themed!” He tapped his happy frog brooch lightly. “I...vampires?” He seemed a bit confused by that one. “That’s...new to me. I like practicing stuff on top of buildings anyway. More dramatic, and being high up lets us work on different kinds of things than being in the trees.”

"That's...yeah, basically what they are to me," she shrugged. "Whatever they're doing it's like...knocking people out, they touch them and then," she pulled a face as if to imply she was fainting. She had yet to learn that they happened to destroy souls too, that would be another tidbit of information and she'd need to reconsider her description after that!
Said individuals did have names though, she just didn't know them.
"I can't say I've really tried to do much of that," she added as she gazed up at the rooftops. "I'm willing to try it though, I gotta figure out how it all works eventually, right?" she asked and motioned with her hand. "Although I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that practising to jump up buildings here probably isn't the best idea," she admits.
"All that incognito stuff, blips on the map, they'll know you're here and all that jazz?" she was obviously paraphrasing a Mauvian, the one who might have awakened her, but she wasn't being particularly accurate about it.
"Glad you're not a masochist though," she smirked. "Although the guy wasn't half bad looking, maybe he keeps his face safe despite his hobbies," she teased.
