Tiger Eye wearily watched the eagle overhead. The large brown bird did slow circles, surveying the area for a quick meal. The she-wolf wasn't sure her pups would qualify, but it never hurt to identify possible predators before they became an issue. Luckily it was rather far above, and the summer wind seemed to be slowly pushing it off course, further and further from the outcropping of rocks where Tiger Eye perched. The outcropping wasn't just an outcropping, but actually hid the entrance to the den. The she-wolf was grateful that her and Echo had come across the old foxes burrow when they did. It seemed to be the perfect place to hide. The small boulders did a good job disguising what lay beneath from prying eyes, but one could never be too cautious. Usually Tiger was as relaxed as could be, not worrying about anything. With pups around? A whole other demeanor. Constantly on alert, ears up, eyes scanning. Nothing would get to them. Not that anything had tried so far this summer.
Tiger Eye continued to watch, stoic in her vigilance. Scree Slurry wasn't the best with his feet yet, they seemed to be just a bit too big for his rolly polly body. Giant paws on fluffy little legs - he wasn't sure how he was supposed to be able to do anything without falling over. And he fell over, a lot. But right now he was determined. Determined to find out where his mam and pa were because they definitely weren't here in the den. He had watched them go before, had watched them step out into the light place that smelled of many things he didn't understand. Today was the day that he too would step into that place. Maybe. Tottering up onto shaky legs, the fluffy brown pup gave himself a little shake (almost sending himself back to the ground) and headed towards the light place.

She awoke in the den huddled up in the corner. Her ma or pa nowhere to be seen and her brother no longer by her side. She raised her head sleepily and caught sight of her brother, Scree Slurry.
Burnt Ash was a ball energy and she was one to constantly pounce a sibling to playfully n** at them. So, when she saw her brother making way for the light place a place she herself never attempted as of yet she bolted up from the ground and pounced her brother "Where do you think your going?" she asked before nuzzling him with her nose.

It wasn't well known by many that Snakeroot was a little trouble maker. She hid it well and even her uncle didn't notice that at all, which was good for her. She preferred being mysterious and enjoyed others guessing what she was like without really knowing. So while her uncle panicked and tried looking for her, she wandered back towards her family. She got around pretty well. She knew which way to go and what places to avoid. She was a adventurer already and traveling around with her uncle Visage was a good way of learning about the areas around them. She had learned about the Dawnstar and while her uncle wanted her to think about joining it, he gave her the choice to do what she wanted which was good since she wasn't sure where she wanted to end up.
She didn't just join things to join them and she certainly wasn't going to do something because family was doing it. No she wanted to do things for herself and not worry about others. While it did sound a little selfish, she didn't really think of it that way because in the end the only thing that truly mattered was yourself or at least this is what she believed.
But that was neither here nor there. She walked up to her siblings slowly before plopping down and watched them play normally. This was something she didn't feel like doing. She didn't know if she was defective or weird, but she had no desire to play. "You two look like your having fun.." She said flicking her ear and watching them carefully.

Scree flopped to his side as his little legs wobbled - then gave out as his sister Burnt Ash pounced him. Flailing, slightly pathetically, he mewed at her as she nuzzled him, " Asssh! I wanna, I wanna go to that place.." he pointed with his little dark nose to the den entrance "...the place where mam and pa always go." He paused in his struggle against her as he heard the sounds of his other sister Snakeroot nearby. Scree knew that Snakeroot had already been to the light place. She was already more advanced than him, which didn't perturb him in the slightest, but it did lead him to wondering. Shifting slightly against Ash, he peered at Snakeroot, his golden and emerald eyes staring at her. "Snakeroot, what, what is in the light place? Can we go there?" His question came out in a whine, as his excitement and anxiety got the best of him.

Burnt Ash let out a playful growl while rolling off her brother to give her sister a light nuzzle. She sat on her hind and ears perked for adventure, though in her mind she should probably protest the idea. Their parents warned them not to stray from the den, that it was scary and dangerous for them at their age. But, their sister manage to lurk off once and came back unharmed. She couldn't deny she too was curious, much like her brother Scree.
"Is that so?" she giggled at her brother.
She looked to Snakeroot "Was there any monsters out there? In..the light place?" she asked.
It's not that she was scared or anything, no she was more on the line of actually seeing something big and monstrous as entertaining. Did the pup have any fear? Who's to say when she truly never felt it before.
