Her eyes locked onto his as she loosened the remaining restraints on her shirt. "Ya know, you're cute..." she'd whisper between breaths, finally closing the gap and forcing their mouths together.

SHIONxxxxxMORI Snoring had always been a bother; loud, obnoxious, and intrusive, it was something that always ground away at Shion's patience. But, with Takao, it was odd. Something about it just didn't bother her. In fact, she felt more at peace than ever before. Maybe it was the fog of post-coital bliss still clouding her judgement, but she felt she could let her guard down around him. Sleep was off the menu for Shion; her sleep schedule had been a variable rollercoaster of ups and downs since she became a host. Would it be the same for him? Hosts did take of different aspects of their bijuu, but each bijuu was different. Whatever. There was no point in worrying about it now. With a content sigh, Shion would wrap herself around her partner and turn her head back to face the TV to resume her previous activities... at least until he woke up.
Takao dreamed of a huge garden filled with red camellia flowers. It was a warm, cloudless summer day with a soft breeze to rustle the garden. It was absolutely serene, something that made his heart ache and yearn. Before he could enjoy the scene much, it seemed to fade away to consciousness. He turned around so he could curl around Shion instead, burying his head in the nook between her shoulder and neck, eyes set on the cartoons. "Big TV fan, huh?" His hand rested on her stomach and he rubbed his thumb back and forth absently. "I can get used to lazing around like this."

Usually Sev tried to keep his nose out of Kagerou's shenanigans, but this time had the promise of alcohol and that one cute cop. Sea green eyes trailed up from the letter in his hands to the front of the bar, his lip twitching up in distain Just do it for the alcohol, he told himself, then walked inside. The lights only blinded him for a moment, his eyes still hadnt adjusted well to artificial lighting. Once inside he quickly found a seat and ordered up a fairly simple drink to sip at it while he waited.
SHIONxxxxxMORI Shion let out a quick gasp as Takao curled around her. The sensation of being enveloped by another was odd, foreign... it was nice - Something she had wanted for a while now. She sunk into Takao's embrace, turning back to give him a quick kiss on the cheek before settling back. "Yeah, it's uh, sorta a meditation exercise." She placed her hand on his, interlacing her fingers with his from over the top. "I... I dont see why we cant do this more often. The being lazy, I mean. Not that I didnt enjoy the other stuff, I really, really enjoyed it. Err, i dont mean im like... ah shoot." She let herself become vulnerable, and now she was the one making a fool of herself. Her cheeks went bright red as she scrambled for something to say. "I just mean, like, ugh I dont know..." For the first time in a long time, Shion could not find the words to express herself. Completely speechless.
"So you came," a familiar voice lilted from the entrance as another patron soon entered, accompanied by the ringing of bells, "How is your drink?". Long green hair, pulled up into a neat ponytail, framed vibrant red eyes and a soft smile that focused first on Severin before scanning the rest of the bar. Despite being the one to suggest the place, this was Kagerou's first time visiting. Her interest, naturally, lingered upon the musical instruments neatly displayed in one corner of the room.
Before too long, though, the ruby gaze returned to Severin and graceful legs strode to cover the distance between them. Kagerou took a seat besides her silver-haired friend and, after giving his sea green eyes and simple drink a quick glance, looked to the white-haired bartender to request, "A spiced rum, please."
Severin’s eyes flicked up from his drink to Kagerou snd stuck there like glue. He sometimes forgot how utterly gorgeous Kagerou was, but she always found a way to remind him in access. The Raigyo stared up through unkempt silver bangs over his shoulder, arms resting on the bar, unblinking. Had she slways been this beautiful, even back then, but he had been unable to see it? Either way, it was too late now. When Kagerou turned to look at him, Severin was turned back around and staring at his drink. With a slight smirk he answered her question.
”Like s**t, honestly, but no one ever orders this drink for the flavor.” Severin knocked back the rest of the glass, then offered it back to the bartender who gave him a sour look that oozed with the question “what do I look like, a maid?”. Severin’s eyebrows set hard as he glared at her, only for the bartender to groan and walk off with the glass to make another drink. Sev rolled his eyes in response, then turned in his seat to face Kagerou with one elbow propped up on the bartop,
”Well,” he started, ”Don’t keep me in suspense, gorgeous, what are we doing here? Not that I’m against having drinks with you, just that you never actually seem to leave the hospital unless you’re meddling.” Sea green eyes glinted with mischief; they might not have retained their icy hue but they hadn’t softened any. Those dagger like eyes raked Kagerou’s face, searching, observing. Part of him was hoping the compliment off the bat would set her off kilter, he did so enjoy watching her fumble some times. Nothing was cuter than watching a controlled person crumble.
Sev didn’t move as he was given the refill he asked for, causing the bartender to scoff at him.
Takao laughed into her shoulder as she tried to explain herself. She was so cute. "I got your meaning. This is definitely not a one-time thing. I mean, if you'll keep letting me over that is." He took in a deep breath, smelling sugar and a hint of booze off of Shion from the cereal and alcohol respectively. It was an interesting combination; one he wouldn't get tired of any time soon.
"I do like all this lazing around for sure, but I am itching to do something. I'm a little behind on my genin work if I want to get a promotion before I turn thirty." He chuckled and unwrapped himself from her, rolling onto his back. "I should like, go rescue cats from trees or something until I have enough recommendations for the Arashikage to move me up."

The compliment pulled a raised eyebrow and stare from Kagerou as she settled in her seat left of Severin. Dagger-like ocean blue was met with a steady wall of warm red, the calm kunoichi's smile unchanging as she observed. Fool her once, shame on him. Fool her twice, shame on her, and Kagerou had been left in a flustered state more than once by Severin's sudden compliments. They had been something new, something she didn't expect, but at the same time, she wasn't one to shake easily. Barring the first few times when she almost panicked between compliment and guilt, it would take more than just a single compliment to beak her. Though, despite all the time she had to get used to Severin's suddenly flirtatious nature towards her, Kagerou still had not gotten used to how much sharper his gaze had gotten. Every time she saw those eyes sharpened by the Sero twisted her gut with guilt, though she would never show such emotion.
She let loose a huff of air on Severin's finishing note, still smiling, but the look she gave him out of the corner of her eye and her single puffed cheek clearly revealed her dissatisfaction at the description he had just given of her. She left the hospital plenty of times, thank you very much. There was no need to make her sound like a stiff who only nagged their friends. However, instead of explaining how she didn't need a reason to just want to chat and catch up, she instead gave his newly refilled glass of alcohol a quick look. A flick of a glance and her eyes were back to looking into those deep blue eyes.
"Save your mischief," Kagerou warned, having all too easily read the earlier glint in his eyes. She learned closer to Severin as she spoke. Her right arm, which rested on the counter, pressed lightly into Severin, her sweater soft to the touch. The bells upon them rang lightly with the small movement. Stretching up, Kagerou moved her face right next to Severin's, and this time, the warm hues of her eyes mirrored the mischief found in the other side's with playfulness. Lips near his ear, she whispered, "I do have a reputation to keep around here." If Severin tried to look down at his drink, he would only be able to see Kagerou's long green lashes and the warm hues of an eye that mirrored his mischief with playfulness. However, Kagerou spoke as normal. In sharp contrast to her close physical proximity, there was nothing to misunderstand in her lilting tone.
Severin wanted to play this game? Fine then. Kagerou would play along, and she would get him flustered this time. Severin may have had his natural charms working in his favor, even keeping him looking dazzling with this new rough look he had going on, but Kagerou wasn't going to admit defeat so easily, either.
She did not dilly dally for long, however. As soon as she whispered what she needed, she slid back down and away, incidentally taking Severin's just refilled drink with her. Even as her spiced rum was set in front of her, Kagerou preferred to lift Severin's drink up to her lips instead and take a sip, which got an exasperated roll of the eyes from the bartender that Kagerou found humorous. The burning liquid slid down her throat as she thoughtfully gulped it down, eliciting a breathy, "Khhhhh," as she released the sensation in one breath. It wasn't the proper thing to do after drinking a western liquor, but she wasn't trying to act and please anyone right now. "Strong bourbon," she complimented the drink as she returned it to its rightful place in front of Severin, looking more pleased with what she had tasted than bothered by it. The no longer full glass was given a lingering gaze. Counting this time and the past few times they had drunk after escaping the Sero with a more or less intact friendship, Kagerou was almost sure that his drinking habits had changed. She made a mental note to tie Severin with darker, stronger liquors and maybe a few wines as opposed to the lighter, sweeter alcohol he used to enjoy imbibing. Though, regardless of what he drank, she did wish that he, and she wished this aloud, "If you're going to get drunk, you might as well enjoy it," as she lifted her own cup and held it up in his direction to clink glasses, "Cheers?".
They were two old friends at a bar. She had her excuses for loosening up. Although, she didn't forget who the owner (and resident) of this establishment was. She would need to keep in mind to behave with at least some propriety around Shion... wherever she was. That reminded her. Whether Severin clinked his glass against Kagerou's or left Kagerou hanging, Kagerou would turn to ask the bartender a quick question, "Hey, miss. If you don't mind me asking, where is Shion?". She would usually be here in the bar at this time, barring any sudden calls from work.
The truth was, Severin had been at least partially right about Kagerou's meddling being a motive for this meeting. However, she certainly wasn't going to confirm such a damning piece of evidence against her, nor would she explain what exactly she was meddling in. It would, for one, ruin the very purpose of her meddling.
SHIONxxxxxMORI A cold chill ran up Shion's spine as her bare back was exposed to the cool air of the room. The shivers wouldnt last long as her blood reached its boiling point when Takao reciprocated her feelings. Third times the charm, i guess. Still, for has blissful as she was in the moment, she couldnt help but feel a small sense of fear tugging at her. How was she going to mess this one up? Did she move to fast? Was he also a secret bijuu-racist? Is she reading too much into things? Before the haze of doubt got too thick, Shion cleared her head with a calming breath. Rolling over beside Takao, she'd plant a quick kiss on his cheek before falling onto her back. "Nah, Toso has... weird promotion policies," she started. "Like... he's all about personal growth, not standardized testing. If you really wanna impress him, grow your bond with Chomei. Any old schlub can save a cat from a tree, but it takes someone special to befriend a bijuu." She'd quickly recall her own journey in taming the Nibi. The various ups and downs, the almost fatal possessions... all of it made her stronger than any teacher ever could, and she had to figure it out solo. "Luckily for you, I can cut that time in half. Well, maybe not half, but I'm sure Matatabi and I can help quicken your bonding." She'd plant another peck on his cheek, giggling. "I think you can handle it." Just then, a familiar voice called into the room "Hey, boss. You got a... holy s**t!"

Mae was more than happy to deal with the new guests. A few drinks here, a few spills here, but whatever. It was a bar, you're gonna have a few drunken accidents. When Kagerou beckoned her over and asked for her boss, a devious glint sparked in her eye. Only a rare few knew Shion actually owned the place; she liked to keep work and life private. These two must be someone important. "Funny, didn't think the boss was capable of making friends. She's probably in her office. Lemme go check!" With that, she'd disappear into the back for a few seconds. It wouldnt take long before Kagerou would have her answer. A shout from the back would be more than enough to confirm. "Woo! You go girl!" followed by the quick pattering of feet in an escape from the approaching storm would echo through the closed door. In a single blur of action, Mae would reemerge, scampering off into the bar, shouting to Kagerou as she flew by. "She'llbetightoutkaybye!" Not but seconds after that, Shion would emerge, bright red in the face and frantically struggling to put on a shirt and a pair of pajama bottoms at the same time. Her hair was a sloppy mess and she reeked of the night before. "You're dead meat, Mae! I swear to... oh... uh, what's up, Kagerou. Toso call a meeting or something?"

"Yeah, what is it?" Shion would lazily say, sitting up in bed to face Mae. It didnt hit her till she saw the ear to ear grin stretched across the little bartenders face and the fact that her eyes were very much looki g down. Shion glanced down at what she could possibly be looking at only to see herself in the full. s**t. As Mae raced off in laughter, Shion frantically scrambled over Takao, tripping out if bed and into the layer of clothes that littered the floor. Sev watched Kagerou with veiled eyes, his lips set as he watched her take his new drink and comment on it before taking a sip of her own. She wasn’t going to make this easy for him tonight, was she? After clinking his glass against hers, soft ‘hmmm’ left his lips as he leaned forward. Sharp orbs set on Kagerou’s face as he gently lifted a hand to sweetly tuck a loose bit of hair behind her hair, a smirk barely tugging at one corner of his mouth. No, she wouldn’t win tonight. The Raigyo leaned in, whispering into the medic’s ear, ”Any time spent with you is enjoyable~” Sev then sit back and nurse his drink again while he waited for the bartender to return with the cute cop-- Shion, that was her name.
A whoop was made from the next room that caused Severin’s eyebrow to raise an eyebrow as his lips rested on the whiskey glass. Either Shion had accomplished a great feat or-- yup, the rushing bartender confirmed it was the latter out of the two choices and she hurried by with a tumble of words. Quickly on her heels, Shion appeared out of the door, fumbling to put on clothes to make herself presentable, either not noticing or not caring about his presence. With a wild smirk and that glimmer back in his eyes, Sev drew his lip in and let out a whistle, relaxing back on the barstool. Those green-blue eyes watched her every movement, observing quietly. However was back in that room, hastily left behind, was very lucky.
It had been ages since he was last with someone. “One night stands aren’t healthy to the healing process, sev.” Bullshit.
Still, he behaved for now until he was aware of his best friend’s plot. ”Well hi there, cutie~” He mumbled, opting to drink more instead of say more. If he played hardball too fast, he was in danger of getting Kagerou’s fist to his gut. So he bided his time. Soon.
It sounded like Shion knew Toso rather well. He wasn't sure what to say about it, so he said nothing, and simply listened to her give her advice on what to do if he wanted to prove himself. He could get along with Chomei, right? He was intrigued by the idea of her using her bijuu to help him with his, though he didn't get to dwell on the thought before the bartender entered and left quickly.
He crawled out of bed cautiously after Shion planted a kiss on him and chased Mae out. He peered out from the door way to see her in front of two people he wasn't familiar with. "Oh, is this important? I can head out and like, come back another time, if uh, you wanna do some of that... training." She had mentioned flaunting her bijuu but he wasn't sure if he was ready for that; in a poor attempt to maintain secrecy, he made it sound like it wasn't any training at all that they were planning on getting up to but rather a round two.
He cleared his throat, oblivious to the suggestion he made, and leaned against the doorway. He waited for her decision, apparently without any discomfort about being shirtless in front of her patrons.

• [ Channeling Martial Skill ] Once completed, all techniques are able to carry two elemental properties. • [ Phantom Slayer ] The user is capable of leaving phantasms of their own body at the end of every phantom slayer technique they preform for no additional cost. These are considered E rank phantasms, effecting only sight. • [ Sobagai Deba Sentou ] The user becomes more accustomed to all combat revolving around small weapons combat. The user's speed and reflex when wielding a small weapon is increased by a slight amount. • [ Sobagai Deba Sentou ] After each technique, light shines in the opponent's eyes and reduces their reflexes for that turn equal to the rank of the technique used by the practitioner. • [ Sobagai Deba Sentou ] Once per post, the user may use a single D-Rank or lower technique involving small weapons without paying the cost. This still requires the activation be utilized. • [ Sobagai Deba Sentou ] All projectile weapons used as a small weapon for this style gain a slight speed increase per rank of the parent technique. • [ Kakumei ] This allows the user to detect when an offensive action is about to occur, giving them a slight increase in reflex per body rank of the user. Additionally, once every three posts, the user is able to defend against an offensive activation without utilizing an activation. She was peacefully drinking her spiced rum, eyelashes lowered as she focused on her drink while waiting for Mae to return, when she caught the motion in the corner of her vision. Her eyes lifted up quickly, the sooner the better to make sure that whatever was approaching her face wasn't a threat. It turned out to just be Severin's hand, and she relaxed, which is to say, nothing changed. No other part of her body had reacted, neither tensing nor freezing. Only her eyes had broken from the casual, relaxed pace of sipping her drink, and they remained on Severin. While he tucked her hair behind ear and whispered sweet nothings into her ear and she smiled gratefully, those crimson eyes traced down his fingers, his arms that still held old scars, across the shoulder that had grown wider, up the vulnerable neck, and then he had pulled away and diverted his attention too quickly. Dangnabbit. She'll hit him with the slow smolder later, then. Counterattack failed, Kagerou turned her eyes to the front again.
She was just in time to, like Sev, arch an eyebrow at the resounding whoop that came from the backroom. Kagerou lowered her glass as Mae rushed by like the whirlwind of excitement she just was, a string of words trailing behind her that hinted at something amusing to come next. Kagerou would have smirked in anticipation. However, she could hear another set of footsteps fast approaching, and guessing who these belonged to, she opted for a neutral smile instead. Resting an elbow on the counter top and leaning into it, she had the look of someone anticipating a show. She got it when Shion stormed out, face all red and flustered at Mae's obviously sudden intrusion. Though, Kagerou continued to give that inscrutable smile as Shion turned and recognized her.
Though, she spared Severin a glance when she heard his mumblings. A look in the eye to read his thoughts, catching a familiar glimmer. Then her eyes were back forwards, and they blinked innocuously as they looked at Shion. Doing that... to Shion? Kagerou wasn't sure about that as her smile maintained that polite familiarity. Then, those eyes bounced to the next individual to come out, the guy with the dragon tattoo. He was shirtless, relaxed. Who he was other than that, Kagerou didn't know.
When it was her turn to speak, the clearly off-duty kunoichi smiled helplessly and raised her already half empty glass of spiced rum. Even with only this amount, Kagerou's cheeks had already begun taking a red tint from the alcohol. Though, her eyes remained clear, her movements sober, and her speech lucid when she gave her reply, "Good afternoon, Shion. Exciting day? No meetings that I should be aware of. Just wanted to know if you were in. Apologies for interrupting." She took another easy sip of her drink and then placed it back down on the table. "Though, since you're out here already, care to join?".
SHIONxxxxxMORI The mere insinuation that Shion was up to something by Kagerou was enough to bring the blush back to her face. Her fingers instinctively moved to start toying at the ends of her hair, still unkempt and hanging down to her shoulders. "No, no... you're not. Why would you be interrupting anything." Then, as if right on cue, Takao made his appearance. Guess that cat's out of the bag now. Or would it be guy is out of the room? Out of the bed? Whatever. The point is, this was one secret the little Anbu Agent wouldnt be keeping. "I, uh... Yeah, dude. That sound's great!" A smile quickly replaced the nervous smirk she wore. "Im really looking forward to it. I uh... I guess I'll see you around then?"
With that, she'd return to Kagerou and her friend. Odd. He wasn't a citizen of Arashi as far as she knew; she had files on all of them from ninja to civilian. Ah, the perks of living in a ninja-police state. Maybe he was a stray looking to settle down. Oh! Maybe she also found herself a nice lay! Good for her; she could use some lightening up. Shion quickly snapped herself out of her racing-thought-induced trance and took a seat next to her fellow councilwoman. "So, uh.... sup? I never really took you as the socializing type."
