It was a sure sign that in spite of everything, Chariklo would almost always overlook an obvious answer. Such as when she'd realized that she could text Ida using her senshi phone. Multiple nights out physically hunting because that's what she'd had to do for so long if she'd wanted to talk to anyone outside of the Court.
And now I have a handy phone and forget all about it unless it screams at me, she thought with some amusement.
And just like that, with a simple 'Yo let's meet' text, Chariklo had set up a meeting with Ida. Wriggling a little in excitement, the senshi of seagulls wondered what her friend would make of her new, glowy state. Of far more interest though was whether or not she could coax her friend into saying yes to being a bridesmaid. And maybe advising on flowers.
As she stood waiting, Chariklo allowed her mind to drift, going through memories real and semi-prophetic. Ida stood out in so many of them. And if Chariklo had her way, the orchid senshi would be there to feature in plenty more.

The text on her senshi phone had come as a surprise, but it was a pleasure to see it came from someone she held more than a passing fondness for. Like Hver, their relationship had been founded in those memories of the future, but that didn't make it any less real for Ida. Time had only added to them and enhanced the relationship, and when Chariklo called, Ida would come.
At least this time, the meeting seemed for pleasant reasons. They'd worked out a time and place over text, but it seemed Chari had been even more eager than she had, and arrived first. Ida could pick out her energy signature, clean and bright, from the surrounding lights of the city and she dropped to the ground without hesitation, a smile already on her dusky face. The over pass wasn't too far from her apartment, but not used much since the only buildings near by were businesses that closed by nine, the night crowds moving on to the party atmosphere of downtown.
"Chari!" She called as she passed under the stone and cement, her boots scraping the rough sidewalk. "Its been a little bit, hasn't it? Its good to see you."
There was no need to exaggerate there, or feign her uplifted spirits. It felt good, and lately, that uplifting was needed.
