spaceIf, for some reason, you are going to be away from the roleplay for a period of time longer than a week, you need to let us know so that we can work around your characters accordingly. There is a form to fill out below which will give us necessary information on how to handle your characters during your absence, as well as when we can expect you back. If your absence is open-ended (meaning you do not know when you will return), you will need to estimate a time frame. Err on the side of caution and put the maximum amount of time you think you'll be gone, because if your absence extends more than a week longer than that, you will be treated as inactive and your characters will become zombie fodder. If you will be absent through the end of the current season, or longer, please arrange ahead of time to put your characters on a bus so that they can be brought back later on.
spaceAbsent members will need to provide permission for certain members to ghost their characters in the event of major plot scenes, such as a zombie invasion or large scale conflict with an opposing force. Members who are ghosting will not be allowed to speak for the character, or make any major decisions for them such as injuries or deaths. They are only allowed to move the character from place to place and make reference to simple, in-character actions, like saying a character who enjoys swimming joined a group who went to do so, or commenting on an established food preference. Pick one to two people you trust to ghost each of your characters during your absence if necessary. It can be one person per character, or a couple of people who can control all of them, whatever you prefer. It is advisable that you choose someone with characters yours interact with frequently, as they will likely be together for the duration of your absence.
