Doggos can be a little more complicated than what they look like on the outside. Thankfully, we have a handy guide for those who may need it! Have a question we didn't answer! Awesome, we love answering your questions! PM the mule and we'll add a little about your request within this guide.

Hounds are large canines with (typically) long claws, powerful jaws, and sharp teeth. They also have their trademark three heads vs the one a normal Doggo has. While most Hounds do range in size, a normal Hound (lacking a specific breed or edit) typically is three times the size of an Earth wolf, although petite and larger Hounds have been found! Some breeds have different heights and weights.
Hounds are fairly intelligent in nature and can learn and speak multiple languages, although the language typically shared amongst other Hounds is English. They have the unique capability to produce a large array of sounds most canines and even humans can't achieve, although some strain on the throat is expected if one pushes too hard on their vocal cords. Hounds excel at mimicking those around them and have a talent for observing and absorbing new information readily, making them incredibly adaptable.
Hounds differ greatly from other canines as they can bend their front limbs considerably more than their less intelligent canine brethren (they are double jointed!). While their thumb is far too short to adequately replicate human thumbs, their index fingers can be bent similar to a human thumb, making them capable of holding tools and using various objects. Unfortunately, their fingers are too short for detail work, but they can get around with using modern technology (for the most part) and creating various tools to help their lives. Befriending animals and training them to help with detail work is a good workaround for when their paws just can't get something done.
Their eyesight mimics that of a human, unfortunately, and thus those without a power related to enhanced vision have limited sight during nighttime.
They also have the natural ability to absorb magic from the environment. They require the magic to survive and it is considered their main source of food. A Hound not in a high magic realm does not do well.

Hounds have a longer life than most canines and go through a unique cycle of their own.
Hounds are usually created via live birth, and within a litter of up to six puppies, although extremely rare cases have been heard of where a Hound is created through artificial or magical means.
For a standard Hound, reproduction is done sexually and thus two Hounds of different sexes breed to try and make the female sexed Hound pregnant. Same-sex pairings (or those who wish to breed without intimate contact) have found magical means to reproduce as well.
Hounds are pregnant for three months and 2 weeks, as they always give birth prematurely when compared to a Doggo (this will result in premature pups who will need to stay within their lanterns a bit longer). Birth is done live, resulting in small, helpless little pups who still have their eyes closed. If the parent wishes their pup to survive they need to locate a special jack-o-lantern (which can be found in almost any realm) and place their pup inside, as Hounds need to absorb magic through these special pumpkins or they'll end up dying before they reach adulthood.
Puppies stay within these pumpkins for two weeks, all the while the pumpkins hardens to ensure the puppy stays safe. During this process the pumpkin will take on colors and markings of the puppy! Puppies will break out of their pumpkin when they have enough magic to sustain themselves through Labyrinth (removing them early can result in not having enough magic, which can kill them or make travel difficult).
As a puppy Hounds are rather helpless. While still needing some amount of supervision or they might go running into a random gate, they still tire easily and need to be educated about the world around them. Puppies can be RPed anywhere from three weeks old to a year old, as puppyhood lasts a year in character.
As a puppy any naturally inherited or developed powers will be considerably weaker than their adult counterparts. As a puppy ages their powers tend to grow stronger. Puppies need to be watched closely to make sure they are properly absorbing magic from the environment.
Once an adult, Hounds can cause a lot of trouble! Armed with sharp teeth and massive claws, Hounds usually can defend themselves fairly well once they've matured. They're about three times the size of an average Earth wolf and are one of the most intelligent species within Labyrinth. They can create, build, explore, and more,. Hounds have a fairly long life span, as they age slowly due to the amount of magic within them. A healthy Hound can reach around two centuries (200 years) before passing naturally. There are ways to extend a Hounds life, although they haven't been discovered yet!
Hounds age slowly once they reach adult stage. They can live to about two centuries old if there isn't any divine intervention that extends their life. Hounds can get sick, die in battle, die of old age, and perish in many other ways, just like any animal. When a Hound dies the magic they contain is absorbed back into Labyrinth and reused in whatever way the world sees fit.

Hounds are unique in that their main source of food is magic itself. They have a natural, instinctual ability to absorb magic straight from the environment and converts it into the energy they need to survive. They must be able to absorb magic otherwise they can become sick and possibly die.
Hounds are also omnivores, meaning they can temporarily sustain themselves off meat and vegetation. Typically a Hound prefers meat, but there are some Hounds who disagree and are content as vegetarians! Some breeds even get sick if they eat certain things, so keep an eye out for that! However eating normal food is only a short time resolution for them.
