CARING Geo loves to see others smile. He's the first to volunteer to make some chamomile or a sandwich for a stressed friend, and the last to give up on their crises. He quickly calls acquaintances his friends, and friends quickly become family. He can't stand to see people sad or lonely and will always do his best to give them a laugh. He's thick-skinned enough that when people say things they don't mean, he'll let them roll off and give love in return.
FOLLOWER If there's nobody to latch onto, Geo can quickly feel a bit lost. Decision making is not his forte; he'd much rather go along with someone else's plan. Left to his own choices, he will often elect to simply stay put and do something mundane like study or think. Given someone who is more of a leader, he will enjoy the opportunity to leave his comfort zone and have some fun.
WORRY WART Generalized anxiety plays a big part in Geo's brain. Though he's quite a bit more charismatic and lovable than he thinks he is, Geo worries that he's not picking up on social cues. He also sometimes worries that people hang out with him out of pity or really any reason other than because they just like being around him. He often feels like he says or does the wrong thing. He also worries about lots of things that are inside and out of his control, such as his grades, unforeseen events, and basically anything involving germs.
DEDICATED Not one to slack off or give up, Geo gets it done. Once he can get a vision, he will do all he can (within reason and not to the harm or detriment of others) to realize it. He's not afraid of rigorous work, whether physically exertive or mentally consuming. Positive results make him happy, and he gets a thrill from finishing long checklists and occasional perfect scores.
WITTY Humor, laughter, and a good audience are Geo's best friends. He's often got a wise retort ready to roll off the top of his head, and he doesn't filter very well. Fortunately, his sense of humor is not very crass or pessimistic, so that helps him keep from swallowing his feet as often as he could. Whether it's a belly laugh or an amused-but-mildly-annoyed eye roll, it will fuel Geo's fire.
A BIT RIGID Geo should stay away from verbal discourse. His opinions are often frustratingly unchangeable. He will stand by them in an argument even when it gets heated, but will usually feel bad about it afterward. It's never during a debate that he thinks about the arguments presented, but only after the fact do valid counterpoints churn in his mind. If one wants to help him change and grow, they must be patient enough to present their point of view, hear his, and then give him time alone to ponder.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Geo's childhood was healthy and stable. As the oldest, his parents were anxious to get everything right with him, and they did well. His family is loving and level-headed and they made sure Geo learned a good work ethic and a decent moral code. He is extremely close to his sister Gwen, who is only a year younger than him. She was always a little louder and a little bolder, but Geo enjoyed being her big brother. When they were toddlers, Geo's mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and ultimately had a hysterectomy. While Geo and Gwen didn't understand what was going on, they knew it was very hard for their mom. They chose to adopt Matt as an infant when Geo was 3. Becoming a big brother again solidified Geo's love for family, which has grown and grown throughout the years. The Hardys were mostly homeschooled, but they spent some time in public school because their mom wanted them to have the experience. She loved to travel with them- they spent a couple years touring North America in an RV mostly because Lillian's mom was from Canada and she'd lived there for a while when she was little. She loved Canada so much that it was Gwen's middle name, and they had maple-leaf decorations all over their house.
Almost seven years after adopting Matt, the Hardys got a call from a social worker asking if they'd adopt a four-year-old girl. Lillian jumped at the opportunity and they wound up with Sharita. She's a little bit wary of her new family, but she's the apple of Geo's eye and he'd do anything for her. He made it his goal to become her best friend, and it's been moving along well enough, but with school coming up he's afraid it might take longer than he'd wish. Geo's looked forward to going to Hogwarts since his dad started telling him school stories when he was 5. Now that it's actually time to start getting ready, he's starting to be very nervous about leaving his family for such a long time.

LIGHT-HEARTED Gwen is never not having fun. It's unusual to see her without her head thrown back in a hearty laugh. When things get too serious, Gwen will do all she can to lighten the mood. She's a dancer, a sweetheart, and an upbeat friend, and a sour mood is uncharacteristic for her.

EARLY CHILDHOOD With the love of a good family and the space to run and play, Gwen's childhood was everything she wanted it to be. Of course, there were good and bad times alike, but Gwen considers herself lucky for the wholeness of her family and the experiences she's been able to share with them. Her favorite memory is when they went to Whistler Mountain in British Columbia and took the chair lift to the tippy top of the mountain. While goofing off on some rocks, Gwen slipped and fell off an overhang and broke her arm. It hurt, but all she remembered was how priceless her family's reaction was and sitting in the hospital with them afterward eating jello.
When her family adopted Sharita, Gwen struggled a little. She'd always wanted a sister, but Sharita was a little more reserved than she expected and not quite ready to join in on Gwen's escapades. Geo on the other hand seemed to adore her, and Gwen felt a little attention-deprived. She bonded more with Matthias though, and overall it was a positive experience. She doesn't look forward to being away from Geo though.

SWEET Everything that comes out of Matt's mouth passes through the filters, "Is it kind? Is it honest? Is it necessary?" The first being the most important. He's a pretty empathetic guy, so if he does anything to hurt anyone's feelings it's an instant regret. He typically comes off as quiet and sincere, and he loves to do little favors for people or surprise them with gifts.
QUIRKY Matt's mannerisms are sometimes an enigma. He has a tendency to say random things that others see as complete non-sequiturs, though they make sense within his own train of thought. Some people also see his hobbies as strange, and he gets hyper sometimes for no reason. He's confident enough with his personality that he doesn't let it bother him if others think he's weird; he just goes on being himself.
INTELLIGENT Academics come pretty easy for Matthias. He loves a book, and can figure out any problem if he's got instructions to read. He studies hard and knows how to memorize, and he's typically the one his siblings will turn to if they can't figure something out on their own. He also stores a lot of useless trivia, because he finds it entertaining to share fun facts. He's very passionate about physiology and science in general. The way things work is a subject that has always fascinated him.
CREATIVE Matt loves to create things. He especially enjoys whittling, and painting what he whittles. If he can do something delicate like whittling to keep his mind from being idle, he will be generally happier and more socially adept.
DREAMER You wouldn't call Matt very ambitious, because he's not in a hurry to get where he's going, but that doesn't stop him from thinking constantly about the future he'd like to have.
